Calling for an appointment is disastrous. The AI system will not allow the patient to choose the desired location. It insisted on sending me to an office further away. I am an existing patient to the Maryville office yet was not allowed to schedule there. Asked to speak to a human and was placed on hold. Gave up after 20 mins. The on line site to schedule an appointment is just as bad. Again had to fight the system to get an appointment in the office of my choice. An appointment was finally made. In the meantime I will look for another doctors office that will put my needs first

I am grateful for the empowering experience I had giving birth with these midwives, and am glad they have found a new home. I just went in for my well woman check and was treated like a dear friend, and a human that mattered. It was nice to see everyone again, and receive care from provider whom takes my concerns seriously. The office is in transition as they adjust. The midwives are working with UT hospital on developing a women's pavilion or wing, complete with a natural birth center. For now, they have birth balls, showers, bars, adjustable beds, and nitrous oxide available to mothers in labor. The hospital will be installing labor tubs sometime soon. As the practice grows they plan to hire lactation consultants and educators. I am excited that UT will be teaching future OB/GYNs how to work with midwives and best support women wishing for natural labor. I look forward to watching the University Midwives flourish!

First of all, they noticed that I barely passed my glucose test and had me take the 3 hour test, which I failed. I'm so thankful to have been closely monitored in the last few weeks of pregnancy. Secondly, the delivery process was a dream. I was able to speak to the midwife on call to decide when I should come in when I started having contractions. They got me back very promptly and honored my birth plan. They explained every step of the process for me and always asked permission before doing anything. When baby girl was stuck, they worked with me for almost three hours, trying different positions to avoid using the vacuum. I cannot recommend this team highly enough!

The front desk clerk is always friendly and welcoming. They also work hard to make your return visits to fit in your schedule. In the center of the room is an island composed of adjustable desks and a medical supplies cart that all the therapist a stand around communicating with each other and documenting, waiting for their patients to complete their specific exercise. I enjoyed the enduring conversation of teaching and encouragement of the students that are working their way to earn their doctorate degree. I like that they give you a choice to keep a single therapist, although all the therapists act as a team and help out if your therapist gets stuck on another patient. I feel confident with the therapists. Alex is my favorite. They are vet friendly and work with the VA.

Dr. Speckner is amazing. She is a mother, which helps, but is very down to earth. When we are freaking out about development, illness, or gaining weight she always brings us back down and gives us a time frame to monitor before taking next steps. Most parents probably don't appreciate that but we know she knows kids a little better than first time parents and appreciate being hit with the reality of things verses having a provider who just says "yes" to everything. We really love this office- and while appearance wise it is a bit dated- and recommend it to our friends!

We have a medical exemption based on an adverse event from the day after his shots (brain swelling / encephalitis) and attestation documents by his provider under whose care this happened. You refuse medical care for a healthy child who did nothing wrong other than experience a severe and rare life threatening side effect. Ethics in medicine dictate not denying care, doing no harm and certainly not subjecting a person to something that caused issues. This place is not run by the doctors but by corporate bureaucracy dictating one size fits all medicine. Good luck if god forbid something happens and you need your child to step out of their pharmacological assembly line in case of an adverse event. This system will not stand by you. 0 stars. This is a travesty to the concept of ethical medicine. We found someone incredibly kind and good who said "of course I'll see your child. Why subject him to something that harmed him!" Common sense and the upholding of the Hippocratic oath. So yes we kept walking and found a good fit. My review is to reflect back to this clinic their terrible conduct in medical practices and to warn other parents. When a clinic gets kick back for adhering to shots it is no longer about the kids.

Peggy, a NP there, wrote me a paper prescription for Ritilan LA for a specific pharmacy. I went and the the pharmacy didnt have enough in stock for the prescription. I called 17 pharmacies and finally found one that could fill a month supply. I then asked Peggy to please send the prescription to that pharmacy since they could fill it. She is refusing to write a new prescription for me, saying that I need to go to the one she wrote down originally. 3 days later of dealing with her nurse and the office manager, and they still cant seem to get it thru their little heads that the original prescription is useless to me because that pharmacy cant fill it. So my daughter continues to be without her meds. terrible people. unsympathetic and unwilling to work with patients. I finally just fired them and moved on

My previous doctor never charged me for this, so I will be returning to them as a patient. I also called the office for clarification, but unfortunately Dr. Abraham has not returned my call. In summary, if you have a minor medical condition that requires an annual prescription renewal, do not seek care at Rocky Hill Family Physicians.
