The office staff is not honest; nor do they care (except for the surgical coordinators - they are great). I have been at Prime care medical a few time now and it's at least an hour wait before the doctor sees you. The doctors are ok but I can't stand when a practice have no regards for patient's time. From the moment I walked in, the experience was seamless -- front desk check-in was efficient and welcoming, vitals were taken promptly, and I was able to see the doctor quickly. Every single staff member I interacted with was kind, compassionate, and genuinely attentive. After a frustrating morning elsewhere, the professionalism and care shown here made such a difference. I never felt rushed, dismissed, or ignored. I felt listened to and taken seriously, which means everything when you're not feeling well. If you're looking for an urgent care that is organized, fast, and staffed with people who clearly care about their patients, I highly recommend Atlantic Health System Springfield. He also is not part of any of the large medical groups in the area (Westfield Family Practice, Summit Medical Group, etc.), which I can only describe as purely money-making organizations. I also liked the idea of visiting a Doctor of Osteopathy instead of an MD, thinking that he might recommend dietary/lifestyle changes in addition to pharmaceuticals. Instead, I had the pleasure of meeting a doctor who laughed at my request for a full blood test as part of a physical, telling me that I was young and skinny, and therefore must be healthy, and don't need to see him. Finally, I just found out that my lovely doctor, or his staff, seems to have lost my medical/prescription records. Despite being a young and healthy adult who doesn't visit the doctor other than for annual check ups (luckily), this is the last straw. Guess I have to look for a new doctor.

I've had many mammograms in my life with in different places, and this was my first time at this location. From now on this is where I will choose to go. Everyone here was friendly and welcoming from the minute I walked in the door and I was greeted in the lobby. The space is also beautiful, safe, clean and quiet. I was the first patient of the day and there was no waiting. Everything was much more quick and smooth than I expected, and than I had experienced it any other place. As I was here, the word that came to mind is "peaceful" which is not what I was expecting to feel while getting a bunch of routine tests done. Special thank you to Julie and Sarah for making this experience so comfortable and easy.

GRWM to get my first mammogram!…read more I'm mad old - knocking on 45 and haven't had one yet. That's what medical racism and fatphobia do tho. However it was a PSA from Ananda Lewis to Black women and then my bestie who reminded me that the world is trying to kill Black women - why make it easy for them - that finally nudged me in the right direction. What I LOVED about this experience: -Steeplechase allows patients to schedule appointments without a doctor's prescription. Regular screening mammograms do not require a *referral* but many places do require a script. I went to the equivalent of a big box imaging center 2 days ago but needed a script and didn't have one. But check it - finances and time are a barrier. It's ridiculous to have patients pay to be seen by a doctor just to get a piece of paper to come get the mammogram and I wasn't doing it. In the Steeplechase model, I can make my own appt without the script and it will be up to me to send the imaging results to my doctor to have them reviewed. I'm OK with that. -It's attached to the hospital. In my experience equipment and extras like clothing, routine devices, etc. are more modern and inclusive at hospitals. -Related to the point above, bench style seating and a variety of gown sizes. -Calming, soothing environment. I'm sure there are people here getting the worst news of their lives. And others like me just trying to be a fully functioning adult. Whatever the case, it was nice to step into a quiet, clean space free from the pressures of the outside world. -Everyone was really nice - from the people working the visitor station downstairs, to the reception area inside and the medical provider who walked me through each step of the imaging. -It was pain free. I've heard these tests are awful but me and my melons were chill and handled with care. -Free parking Can I admit something? I've stayed away from this hospital since the Cullen case 2 decades ago. However, I'm glad I got over that and came here for this procedure. Not having one done has weighed on me for the better part of 5 years. Fingers crossed for the results. In the meantime, if you need one and especially if you are a woman of color and/or have a bigger body, come here! You will be treated with dignity and respect.

He has guided me through rehabilitation before and after two knee and one shoulder replacement. He listens and responds with helpful treatment and makes suggestions to help me get back to my normal functioning level. He has been wonderful with my husband, Kenneth who has Parkinson's and who he has also seen many times. Kris is sensitive and considerate and is always including therapy that is helpful to his changing needs. He has been a godsend and we are both so grateful. The staff and atmosphere in the Westfield office is wonderful. First we are always greeted with a smile. .Everyone at the front desk and in the therapy sessions seems eager and willing to pitch in. I do have several problems with the practice, for one the front office staff had no idea what was going on. I needed to return to leave another urine specimen, I was told when I called that I could come at any time and didn't need an appointment, when I got there nobody knew what to do with me nobody knew how to help me nobody knew who told me I could coming anytime. It was complete chaos. Fast forward, six months have passed and I just received a bill from Robert Wood Johnson billing department. When I call the billing department my first question was why I'm being billed for services that happened six months ago. The woman on the phone told me that they're just billing for visits I'm six months ago now. I also asked why I was receiving a bill I had insurance, the woman explained to me that none of that insurance information had be forwarded to them. I told her how is that possible I was seeing by the Robert Wood Johnson MD, Why would my information not be forwarded for Robert Wood Johnson billing department. I myself and a healthcare professional and I'm very frustrated by everyone's complacency with mediocrity in the workplace. All other aspects of business require people to be accountable, I understand people make mistakes however, this is not the first time that I've been sent a bill because someone didn't sell the proper insurance information. I would rather you're be a system where I can bill my own insurance company, it's very clear that everyone else doesn't know how to write a proper number or send the correct information to get the job done. I know I'm not the only person that has to then call the insurance company or call the billing department which wastes 20 minutes to an hour of my time. Lastly no one ever did call me and tell me what the results of my urinalysis was, I had to call to obtain the information. I was leaving for vacation was given a prescription, I did not want to take the prescription unless it was certain that I had problem with my urine. I am aware that usually you are not notified unless there is a problem with your urine however with the excessive use of antibiotics I would prefer to have a phone call so I did not have to take the antibiotics.
