My kids see Dr Uhl and she's great too. The staff are very professional and they have some really high tech equipment that makes exams a breeze. The only negative is that you have to book your appointments months in advance, but that just means they have lots of clients, which is a good thing!

February 2026 was my first visit to this center. I went in for yag capsulotomy OS. I have…read moreabsolutely no problem with Dr. Matthew Hartman. He is great. My cataract surgery, which Dr, Hartman did at another location, went very well a few years back. When I came into the Green Eye Center, I had no idea what to expect regarding the procedure. I have never had it done. NO one explained anything to me. I waited for a long while and then I saw Dr. Green and waited a while and someone called me and I went to another section of the center and paid $66.28, which they said was an estimate of what they thought my insurance would not pay. I waited a long while and then they told me to go to the surgery center. I waited a while in their waiting room and then they sent me back to a room with beds. I'm assuming that this procedure will be done lying down as was the cataract surgery since they sent me to this room...Again, NO explanation. I still have NO idea why I was sent to that room. Then I was sent back out to the waiting room. Then we waited forever. I went in a room and sat at a machine like I do when i go visit my regular eye doctor. I'm assuming they are measuring my eye, checking pressure, whatever. NO explanation. Then Dr. Hartman came in, sits on the other side of this machine, and it took literally less than two minutes to do whatever he was doing, because I had NO idea. So i go back out to the waiting room thinking I still need to go back to the other room with the beds!!. Then someone at the desk (in the waiting room) tells me the procedure has already been done. Totally ridiculous...I felt ridiculous. NO explanation...communication from the people that work there. So, a month or so later, I get my information from my insurance and everything was paid for, except $33.03. So, remember, I paid $66.28 on the day of my visit, so the Green Surgery Center owes me $33.25. I start getting texts and emails starting in June that I owe $33.03 first to the Green Surgery Center and then after calling, i started getting text that I owe $33.03 to Dr. Hartman. I have called numerous times, and they say, yes you do have credit. I'll get this fixed and we will send you a check. I've replied to the text, etc. but the text started back, so then I went to Green Surgery Center. They said they don't do the billing and that i will need to call the number I've already called numerous times!!! In fact, the lady at the counter was not very friendly at all about it. I've been keeping my cool, all this time and after I went to the clinic i got an email that it had been fixed. So today, I'm losing my cool, because the texts and emails have started again! I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO GREEN SURGERY CENTER, again. Such a BIG MESS and a HUGE run around! Sorry for the book, but I've had it. DON'T GO TO GREEN SURGERY CENTER, ON LONE OAK IN GALLATIN, TN.

My prescription is complicated. They helped with ordering the new lenses. It took a little longer than expected for the new glasses to get here, but they followed up with the label before I called. I could get slightly cheaper glasses at WalMart but couldn't get this kind of service. Hats off to them.

Cynthia at the front desk was so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Dr. Harris was very thorough and patient. I have had glasses the last 3 years and I dont feel like I've ever had a proper eye exam anywhere else after how thorough he was in my son's exam. He made my son feel so comfortable. He talked us through the whole process and explained everything to me along the way. He also kept my son involved in the process, telling him how to take care of his glasses and how they would help with him. At the end of the exam, Cynthia went through all the glasses that my son wanted to try on (there was quite a few and he was a little picky) and encouraged him to pick the ones that he loved the most. She helped make the process of picking his first pair of glasses a more relaxed, exciting process. We were never rushed and I never felt like we were just money in their pockets. I cannot brag enough. This office truly showed great patient care. I work for doctors myself so I am always thrilled when I step into an office that makes me feel as comfortable as if I was in my own doctors' office.
