I attended a one-hour stress relief yoga class with the instructor Rebecca and I really enjoyed it. It was a Sunday morning and very busy. I came about 10 minutes early and the room was almost full, and within 10 minutes a ton of other people came in and we had to move around our mats for everyone to fit comfortably. With that being said, if you're coming with a partner, try to get there earlier than later to insure you'll be able to be next to them. I've never attended this kind of yoga class and it was very beginner friendly. They have all of the equipment you'll need including a mat if you didn't bring one. The instructor was great and it was a very relaxing mind and body experience. It was definitely something I needed after a tough week of workouts to loosen up my body. I left feeling rejuvenated and relaxed and would highly recommend this studio. I'd love to try their other classes. read more

I have going here for a few years now and I love coming here. They have some really great instructors. Carlie, Karin, and Joan are awesome and rock. There are some due to my schedule that I have not tried and are probably great as well. But there is one despite what accreditations she claims to have that she should just stop and pick another career field. Yoga is and never will be her forte and is doing a severe disservice in the name of Yoga. Every time I have taken one of her classes, as well as my family, we have left severely disappointed. It is not Yoga or anything remotely close to Yoga and the music she plays is so not right for Yoga. She should just stick to her ultimate dream job. read more

I'll start of by saying that this studio has some really phenomenal instructors -- Carlie, Karin, Julie, and I'm sure more. But buying a month pass to this studio was some of the worst money I ever spent. On my first class, the instructor started adjusting me -- without any warning (it's courtesy to ask before putting your hands on a student) and forced me into a painful alignment -- as I kept saying "no no no no no no!" She kept pushing me even as I said no! I actually needed medical treatment after that. I wrote a complaint to the studio and was given a one-week extension, which was nice. I thought I'd go to some other instructors' classes and that would be good. In other classes, I have been adjusted with feet (I mean, maybe I'm picky about thinking I should be asked before someone adjusts me, but don't put your feet on me!!!!). I have had multiple classes with incense or essential oils used so heavily that I had trouble breathing and got headaches. I have had teachers trying to sell me things (CDs, books) as I practice. I've had teachers try to push me into asanas that I know I can't do and said I can't do -- but they keep telling me to try. In short, while this studio has some really great teachers, it also has some of the worst teachers I've ever encountered. I thought about writing the studio yet another complaint, but really, how many complaints do I need to write? I'll try to go to a couple of the teachers I know I like just to get my money out of the package I bought, but I will never get another. The reality of this studio is that there are a few shining stars in the middle of a bunch of people who really don't manage their classes by the principles that yoga should uphold: respect and non-harming. read more

I LOVE Sun & Moon. I've been sharing this space for a few months now and am honored & grateful to have stumbled upon it. I most often make Amy's class, but try my hardest to slip into one of Carli's classes when I can make it. I always leave rejuvenated, inspired, & grounded. The non-judgement makes me feel safe & open to practice at my pace and the guidance & positive vibrations encourage me to be present throughout each class. The space is neutral, mellow & inviting. When I was ready to invest in my magic carpet (aka-yoga mat), Carli & Amy provided me with some great guidance! I know I can come on a whim without my gear & comfortably find everything I need, but I love to settle into my space on my mat for my practice. I look forward to growing here. Thank you!!! read more

I'd been going to a pretty popular Bikram studio for the past several months until my Groupon expired. I was initially attracted to this place as an alternative because it is much closer to home, has ample parking, and the prices were great with discounts for students. I was also looking for a little bit more variety, so I was really excited to find that this place offered hot Vinyasa classes. My muscles have never felt so alive! Wonderful class, and Carlie was such an attentive instructor. The studio is gorgeous and it's so hard to not compare it to the place I previously frequented....clean hardwood floors, glowing candles, crystal chimes, burning incense... the instructor even came around at the end of the class and spritzed refreshing lavender-scented water on us as we rested in savasana. The environment made it so much easier to focus on our poses.So much better than being distracted by the stench of feet in a carpeted studio... I can't believe it took me so long to find the haven that is Sun and Moon Yoga! My only suggestion would be to offer more evening classes or slightly later morning classes. Otherwise, this place is awesome, and I'm sure it will be the start of something amazing. P.S. They offer a one week unlimited trial for $20. read more

Where do I even begin to rave about this yoga studio and all of the teachers there? Carlie, has such a radiant energy and every class with her feels like my soul and body are restored. It's always a balance of challenge that endlessly forces me to surrender to any anxiety I had that day. This was the first time I had ever visited a Yoga studio and I couldnt have been more pleased and relaxed as I left the class. I came to the class as a walk-in just to try it out since I didnt know what to expect. The room was clean with gleaming hard wood floors and once the doors were closed for the class to begin the light was dimmed down with only a few candles for light and a heavenly type glow shining through the rice-paper doors. The class was challenging yet do-able and it seemed to fly by in a blink. I attended the blissful backs class and it left me feeling relaxed and at peace. Recently there was a Groupon for 5 classes for $35 and I'm now kicking myself for not buying it since the classes can get pretty pricey. They are currently running long promotion for New Students: 1 week unlimited Yoga = $20 which is a pretty good deal too! read more

I have been to Sun and Moon Yoga twice, and have a great experience. Hot Yoga with Carlie was fantastic and the class was filled! I did a regular class on a Sunday, and me and my daughter were the only ones in the class, and the instructor Kim was amazing. Very Clean and very helpful and very good instructors! I wish they had classes later on in the evening, as I work until 7pm during the week. read more

Carlie is AMAZING. She's always changing up class! It might be a quote, an entry from a book, the use of essential oils, or crystal bowls. Somehow, she delivers exactly what you need. She also reminds us to love ourselves and everything our body allows us to do, removing focus from what we can't do. She always sets you up for trying a new pose like crow, or a hand stand. And she reminds you that what your body allowed you to do was and is enough. I'm so grateful for a yoga studio with such a passionate owner to be available to me! read more

This yoga studio is the first place I ever started yoga at in 6th grade after being convinced to go by my mom, who wanted company while working out. Little did I know it would have such an effect on my life. Yoga became a weekly tradition for us every Sunday morning with Karen, who is a phenomenal instructor with lots of experience and that modifies the practice for every one, regardless of level of ability. I have never had an instructor that I didn't enjoy, and the studio offers a variety of classes ranging from Hatha to hot vinyasa flows of varying difficulties. There is a small parking lot outside that there is normally no problem parking at, and the studio does have mats you can borrow, along with straps and blocks for modifications. My favorite class is hot yoga, and this studio allowed me to take my passion for yoga to the various places that I moved to following high school. I am forever grateful to have had such a great experience at Sun and Moon that allowed me to find a new activity to do for the rest of my life. read more

I have to say I am new to Yoga so I bought a Groupon to this place and I figured it would be a great way to start learning without being too invested in some super pricey place. I have to say that within a few classes, not only did I start to love Yoga but I also started to love this place. It's so peaceful, serene, clean and I just want to come back again for more classes. You don't need to sign up for the classes as I believe walk ins are always available and you can just pay right when you get there. You can bring your own mat or they have their own as well as everything you may need including towels, blocks etc, all the great things that you are free to borrow. Just be nice and clean up the mat after you are done. Okay, I started with a back to basics classes with Julie and it was great, a perfect beginners class where I got the hang of things pretty quickly and was by no means overwhelmed. She talks about some of the yoga terms as well as really guides you through the whole yoga flow and process. Oh, how can I forget to talk about their charming studio, I love it, they have natural skylights, the room is spacious enough for like 12-14 people per class comfortably. It really relaxes you in itself. Then I tried another class with Joan, I think it was definitely a little more challenging as it said ALL levels can come, but I definitely broke a sweat in this class, but a challenge is really good. However, the best class I had was with Carlie who I believe is the owner, she was amazing. I definitely could not keep up with all the pros in that class, but I had a great time trying. She truly makes the 1 hour class fly by since it's entertaining, challenging and stress relieving, what better way to spend your Saturday or Sunday afternoon. You can tell just how knowledgable, friendly and super passionate she is about her practice and she gives off a really positive energy. Overall, I'm so happy I came to this studio to get my start because it showed me how much yoga is for me and how much I want to continue doing something as a hobby or maybe as part of my life. It really does change your mental state of mind in a positive way, and it truly can be inspirational because with each class, they give you a new meaning of life and a new message you can really take with you. The only thing is this place is a half an hour drive from me, but I don't think that will stop me from coming back since it is so enjoyable. The classes make me want to challenge myself and become stronger in doing so. They should open up another sun and moon yoga by me and then I can become a regular. So overall, nothing negative to say about this place. read more

The studio is beautiful and all the equipment is readily available, there is also a changing room upon entering. I love it when the instructors incorporate the equipment into our practice; it brings a fun twist when coming back to our mats, while still maintaining it's effectiveness!! As a newish-to-Yoga male, I was a bit intimidated joining a real Yoga studio taught by such a learned teacher. However, I felt very comfortable here and learned a ton. No class is the same. The teacher can intuitively sense which students need work on what areas and without even a word spoken, she twists the class accordingly. Plus Carlie is a very spiritual person and I knew for that hour at least, any shame or self-loathing would be entirely banished. I decided to give yoga a try for the first time and purchased a Groupon to Sun and Moon Yoga. I must say that part of the decision was based off of these Yelp reviews, so I am in turn going to add yet another 5-star review here because my first experience was absolutely amazing! Carlie is so knowledgeable, friendly and beyond passionate about her practice. The class that I attended had all kinds of people ranging from kids to the elderly and I have to vouch for the emphasis of being in a non-judgmental environment where anyone would feel perfectly comfortable. I was pretty intimidated to be in a room full of Yogis having zero clue what was in store, but that intimidation disappeared immediately as the class begun. While my initial thought on trying yoga was for the benefit of physical exercise, I found that there is SO MUCH more that yoga offers. Beyond the physical I couldn't believe how much of a difference breathing makes and just how much yoga helps calm your mind and leave you feeling fulfilled and so positive! And to think, this is all from just ONE CLASS! I am so excited to try some of the other classes and meet some of the other instructors and will undoubtedly be signing up right after my Groupon is up! I've been to two classes here. The first ended 10 minutes early which was annoying but the second class was awesome! It was the Vinyasa Flow with Carlie and the sequences and variations were right up my alley. Great yoga studio and very nice teachers. I always like it when instructors teach variations of a pose to make it easier or harder depending on your level. I am new to yoga and now understand how people become "addicted " to it and love it so much. Every time I go I feel so relaxed, yet challenged. I feel great for the whole day when I go in the morning. The studio is super clean, lit beautifully with skylights and so serene. I first tried this studio a few days ago, and I really dig the vibe. It's quiet and you don't hear any surrounding noise so it's easy to get in the zone and relax. All equipment is available to use if needed. It's clean and home-y. :) Carlie was very attentive and helped me get into my first arm bind! So excited! (Gotta celebrate the little victories! I have taken two classes here recently and am going to my third one this week. I really like Sun and Moon. You're enveloped in it's warm atmosphere as soon as you walk in. The studio has beautiful hardwood floors. It also has all the equipment you need: mats, blocks, bolsters, etc. Both Kim P (Yoga for Stress Relief) and Karin (Blissful Backs) were great teachers.
