Look, I'm going to lay it out for you about as straight as it can get: I didn't necessarily expect to like this place. I've been coming to YogaSix for about six months now, and when I first walked in I was admittedly someone not sold on either committing to a yoga practice nor to the idea that doing hot yoga in a studio surrounded by a lot of other sweaty people was going to be a thing I could tolerate. I was also in the camp of feeling kind of maxed out on TikTok horror stories of yoga and pilates studios that felt unwelcoming or full of people there more for the vibes and the judgment than to do right by their bodies. By the close of my second class, however, I knew I'd be signing up for the unlimited membership. Because here's the thing: though YogaSix may be a franchise outpost, it *feels* like a business run by the women helming it, who are each exceptionally pleasant, perceptive, deft coaches who bring a calm, grounded, totally realistic energy to the center of the yoga classroom while also managing to perform minor miracles of distraction, focus, and release in this global hellscape ::gestures to everything, everywhere, all around us::. This isn't the type of yoga that feels competitive or where the coaches are constantly adjusting or touching you. The YogaSix team largely uses their words to guide you through the practice, volunteers their time, and is community-oriented in a way that reads genuinely kind at a time where that's sorely lacking. To that end, the clientele, too, is impressively diverse. Each class runs the gamut of ages and body types, and the instructors are encouraging when it comes to pursuing the shapes and positions appropriate for your individual capabilities without pain. There are incredibly advanced students and high-intensity classes if you're up for them, and there are the super chill restore options ready when you need them (and who doesn't). If you want the extra help or have questions on whether you're doing something right, they're willing to answer, or you can just go with the flow. But seriously: I never thought I'd be a person who regularly does hot yoga. I hate the heat, truly, so much. I'm so terrible at sitting still. I got itchy doing Yoga with Adrienne. I regret all of my life choices in the middle of every hot yoga session. And then at the end I feel fantastic and I'm back again a few days later. It helps, truly, that the sensory experience of YogaSix is sort of distraction free, and that the instructors are as supportive as they are. This is an asset to the community. Its only flaw is that it doesn't have regular 7 AM classes (especially earlier classes on weekends). read more

I've been coming to YogaSix for 1 month and I've done classes with multiple instructors and everyone's style is different but they're all so good. Every experience I've had here has been so positive. It's very clean and they even have mats, blocks for you to use. Also towels and at the end of your session they have cold wet eucalyptus towels. These are so refreshing. Tuesday was the first time that I attended a yoga class, let alone a hot yoga class. I couldn't tell you what I was expecting but the class was everything I could have wanted and more. The instructor, was extremely kind. She offered and demonstrated alternatives for most of the poses. You can tell that she was passionate about her craft.
