I just picked up my car. After paying over the phone (they close before I could get there)....the windshield and side windows were spotted. Truck Level 2 Detail - Do NOT Recommend Bed wasn't detailed. Dirt left in door jams. Overall shabby work. Detailer John lied about what was included, then hung up on me. Owner Wayne offered 10% back and to redo it but expected me to waste hours returning--no respect for my time. When I mentioned I'd leave a negative review, he accused me of trying to blackmail him and just wanting to argue. Claimed that the work that wasn't completed was only worth 10% of the job. I've had my five vehicles all tinted with the 25% 3M product over the past two years. I highly recommend this company. I've had three Subaru's, one minivan, and my Corvette tinted with total satisfaction. In addition, I had one of my Subarus receive a black matte hood decal like the Subaru wilderness version. It was perfect. The owner applies this 3M decal freehand and I swear it's like magic. It is identical to the OEM product on Subaru wilderness cars. Meticulous, high-quality materials, convenient, and a great price, Also, please do not get completely blacked out windows. You can't see out and others can't see you.. so if you're a bike rider like me, you can't tell if the driver has eyes on you or he's gonna run you over... the 3M product is so good at glare and heat reduction, that only 25% tinting is in my opinion the best to go with. Had 2 windows tinted to match factory windows in the balance of the car. First set poorly installed and lots of dirt appeared under film on both sides. Requested the work be redone several weeks later and they accommodated. Second job was equally as unacceptable and as carelessly done as the first job. Summary: Great service, responsive to inquiries, easy from start to finish process, from appointment booking to check-out. Service: Tinting of entirety of 4-dr sedan, including windshield strip. Differing tints and products applied. In depth: Made reservation (based on a referral I'd received from another car detailer) via their online booking system which they promptly confirmed via email and text. Received a follow-up text (and email with calendar entry) confirming the appointment and indicating they would go over tints with me the morning of drop off. Was incredibly responsive and responded to inquiries regarding whether they had a space where I could work remotely while I waited for my car. The morning of my appointment, I got jammed up in traffic and they were more than understanding that I arrived late. Were still able to get my car in and complete the work in an incredibly timely fashion. All told, I was probably in and out in under 2 hours. The waiting area was more than adequate for my remote-work purposes and the friendly shop-dog was an added bonus. Will 100% bring my cars back for their services. read more

So I've been here twice now. The second was a result of an accident but we will get into that later. I own a 2015 Mustang GT ( it might be the awesome looking one in the picture ;) ) and I desperately needed paint protection. I did a whole lot of research and decided 3M film was the best possible protection for my car and found that Sun and Shade was the only place anywhere near me that had it (about an hour away at least) and I am so glad they did. Wayne is great and everything is priced really well, plus they do a great job. People don't understand a few things about Paint Protection film, namely that it is really really hard to get on perfectly (wish I could upload a picture of my dad's Audi that was done at a dealership because you'd get it then) and that it takes a few days to actually settle properly. This means bubbles and stuff might show for a little before disappearing which was made clear to me before I drove off. Anyways, I got the film and it looked really good with the exception of a scratch in it, which I was told would heal. It did, surprisingly well actually, and disappeared almost entirely. Unfortunately a family friend scraped up the front end pulling out of our driveway and damaged the car - well at least I thought. The film actually protected the paint 100% and just wow! And I mean this thing was pretty scraped up I was sure I'd need the bumper repainted but I peeled off the film and it was fine! So I took it back, had the bumper film reapplied and Wayne even fixed the scratch on the hood. It looks incredible and has done a great job protecting my car from all kinds of stuff that comes flying at you on the road (tar, rocks, whatever) so it's worth it if you care about your car. Absolutely an awesome purchase and the place is great. The only regret I have is not writing this review sooner because this place deserves way more than the 2 1/2 stars it has now. so the detailing was fabulous - my car looked brand spanking new. i thought they would have addressed the water-stain in the head-liner due to my leaving the moon-roof open during a rain (or two), but other than that, no complaints. the window tint was 3/4 fabulous. we experienced a problem with one window, and other than the inconvenience of having to return to have them fix said problem, they were courteous and prompt, and to the best of my knowledge, fixed said problem. i have scheduled a 2nd appt with them, to repair a problem that developed in a different area of the same window, so it has become rather inconvenient. although, if this trip does the trick, i may bump them up a star, because they have been really easy to deal with. we shall see. read more

Wayne and his crew at Sun and Shade are TOP NOTCH in work and customer service. I recommend them to anyone I possibly can. I had my windows tinted by them recently and they look great! One of the windows had an issue occur in the tint shortly after, which was discovered to have come from something being wrong with the inner workings of my car door, not their work. I told Wayne about it and after I got the door fixed by my dealership, he re-applied the tint for me no questions asked, even though it was no fault of his. He just wanted me to be happy with the job overall. Now that's great customer service and someone who stands by their clientele. Go to sun and shade if you want genuine people working on your car. UPDATE: I have to lower this one star. I didn't want to drive 40 mins and have them remove my tint so they didn't refund anything. Guess I'll have to eat that cost. Now I see a hair under the clear bra right on the front of the hood, as well as air bubbles, ridiculous. That is on their second attempt with it! I would not recommend this company for detailing. I brought my car in after being recommended by multiple people. When I received my car back there was waxed left all of it, other areas that did not have cleaning product applied, and water spots found in multiple areas. For someone that runs car shows I know what it takes to clean a car. I reached out to Sun and Shade to show them the photos and was contacted by them to try to make it right. At that point I corrected the issues myself and took them up on a gift card offer. 1 month later no gift card was sent. I took my husbands brand new truck to have is detail it And I believe that I would have taken it to a regular Carwash than there. It was dirty and didn't look like it had even been washed. So I take it back up there today and the guy says he'll fix it. 45 minutes tops with a second guy helping. I keep going around the truck and point out dirt or wax spots... These guys have to be blind not to see it. Very rudely tell me that the door jams continuously get dirty because they aren't sealed. I wiped all the dirt off of them and drove this very expensive pickup truck home and when I opened all of the doors, it was still clean. I cancelled my appointment for our Harley Davidson as well as my Camero. Needless to say, we will never use this company again!! read more

I had gotten my SUV tinted over a year ago and absolutely love it. I ended up surprising my mom and getting her Escalade tinted around Christmas time and questioned bubbles before I left- was told they will go away within a few weeks. No biggie. Took the car home and we had the worst winter with snow, rain, ice, etc. Spring was full of rain and wind- even summer. My mom works. We waited until September to take it back since the bubbles are still there and the weather is finally "normal" in my mind. Not too hot for tint not too cold. My mother made a appointment and took it and they claimed that the marks were from rings or he seatbelt. With a normal eye you could see the specks of dirt underneath. Whats the point of LIFETIME warranty if your going to place blame on the customer. I could see if we waited a lengthily time that wear and tear could have happened. My mom drives her car, she has a 30 and 26 year old who have their own cars and don't live at home. It is rare my mom even has a passenger in her car. I could also see if we had brought our cars back several times for the same issue. This was the first issue. In the meantime I had referred half a dozen people to this business and after the way my mother was treated today I will send people other places. I don't know if this was because my mom is a woman and is 60 driving an Escalade but no business should discriminate, thats poor business in my books. The worst part is I love the way my car was done and looks and so do my friends. read more
