Attentions to detail ... works like a surgeon. I have a 58' TR 3. He knows vintage. He will scour the countryside for the correct part.

What a great guy! I took our Jeep to his shop, on a Friday, hoping he could find out why our Jeep…read morewouldn't run at idle without dying. We left the Jeep there about noon, and he said, "I can't promise, but we'll try to look at it before closing time". It turns out that we forgot to leave him the key for the lock on the engine compartment, so when he did try it was locked. So we came back at 6:30 PM (two hours after their closing time) and he was still there working on another vehicle, but he came over to look at our Jeep. He spent about 15 minutes looking at various things, then finally adjusted the mixture screws on the carburetor, and, voila, the Jeep was running great again. I asked him how much we owed him and he said, "no charge"! What a nice guy! And this isn't a one-off deal for me either. I've been using R&S for years, as a Tiburon resident, and every time, have been happy with the result.

Asked for a quote to mount/balance tires & setup TPMS…read more Quoted me $330 to change tires and another *$500* for TPMS programming and claimed it would take three hours to do. I spoke to America's Tire, Costco Tire, and another tire shop. I also posted to the forum for the car. Every single source told me it takes 5 minutes and they do it either 1) free as part of mounting/balancing or 2) roughly $10 per tire. Feels like they are just making up prices unfortunately, which is disappointing because they are so close and I would have loved to use them. FOLLOW-UP: Spoke to shop owner. He clarified, but the response is not exactly as stated. 1) the first quote was $330 + $500 for installation. I pressed and the guy insisted/mansplained me that it took 3 hours to do and he had done hundreds of them, 2) he then left me a voicemail, which I have, where he told me the updated price was $535 total, was it was not line item out as described. 3) the third call, the owner told me they would only charge TPMS if required but couldn't guarantee it and that he had to buy a $500 device and pay for updates every six months. My intent is not to harm a small shop, but I do think Yelp needs to be intellectually honest. The simple fact is that all three of the quotes he gave me were way off-market, and only when pressed did they revise their number. Don't love the revisionist history.

Buyer beware. I…read morebrought my Volvo in for a timing belt replacement quoted at approximately $1,500. The next day, the shop informed me that they had damaged my vehicle in an accident involving a lift and would need to send it to a body shop for repairs. What should have been a routine service turned into several additional days without my car. The damage was ultimately repaired, but I received no loaner vehicle, no rental reimbursement, no discount, and no service recovery of any kind for the inconvenience caused by the shop's mistake. When I finally picked up the vehicle, I was presented with a bill that was more than $500 higher than the original quote. When we questioned the increase, we were told additional work had been performed. However, no one had contacted us for approval before completing the alleged work. After we pointed out that we had never authorized the additional charges, the extra amount was removed from the bill. Accidents happen. What disappointed me was the way the situation was handled afterward. Damaging a customer's vehicle is bad enough. Providing no compensation for the delay and then attempting to charge for unapproved work turned a mistake into a trust issue. Needless to say, we won't be returning.

They keep charging well above market prices a to do little to persuade me they're competent! Grossly overcharge for parts; mislead on sourcing parts & simply can't be trusted I'm sad to say. I prefer to not be negative toward any business & A&A Automotive is no exception but they've crossed the line! Stay clear unless you're clear about the work required & tge associated costs.

When I got…read morethere, I was told that I would have to wait approximately another hour despite having an appointment. What made the experience much worse was the way I was treated afterward. The person at the shop approached me and started criticizing the way I had driven into the area, telling me that I was driving fast "like a police officer." I told him that if he believed I had actually done something wrong, he was welcome to write me a ticket. Instead of handling the situation professionally, he then told me not to come back to his shop. I came here as a paying customer, on time for an appointment, expecting a simple wheel alignment. I did not expect to have my scheduled time disregarded, then be confronted and ultimately told not to return. Regardless of the quality of the mechanical work, this was an extremely unprofessional and disrespectful customer-service experience. I would not recommend this business based on the way I was treated. If the lift was inoperable, the professional thing to do would have been to notify customers with scheduled appointments before they drove to the shop. A simple call or text would have saved everyone time. Customers' time matters too -- time is money. I have attached screenshots because the business owner keeps changing his public responses and his version of what happened. In his first response, he apologized for the inconvenience caused by an inoperable vehicle lift. In his later response, he claimed that I did not have an appointment at all. His description of the driving incident has also changed and become increasingly serious with each response. I am not going to argue about these accusations. I am simply attaching screenshots of the owner's own responses so that anyone reading this review can see how his statements have changed and draw their own conclusions.
