Honestly if I could give a hundred stars I would. So, yes it's costly. However, it's quality care. I took my extremely sick elderly dog in, thinking it would be an appointment for euthanasia. However we did the vet visit first, and ran more tests than I ever would have thought to or honestly wanted to. That being said, because they did run the tests, they discovered my dog had aspiration pneumonia. Treatable. Throughout the visit, the front staff was lovely and kind, techs were helpful, and the Dr was very friendly and clearly discussed treatment options. I had a cost list of low end and high end, and he was a patient in their overnight hospital. I was told I would be called the next day between 9am and 10, and at 915 I was called by the Dr. they said he was doing well, and there wasn't anything I couldn't do at home that they'd be doing, and said I can pick him up. When I returned, I got my pup AND a refund because it was less than expected. Highly recommend, but I hope you'll never need to use them

A Heartfelt Thank You to Epic Vets Hospital On November 5, 2025, our world shifted. It became one of the hardest nights we've had to live through, a night that now sits beside the deepest losses our family has known. We were eating dinner when our sweet 11 year old Maddie suddenly went into what looked like a seizure or a stroke. Her little body went stiff, her eyes began bouncing, her tongue and face tightened, and she lost control of her bladder. In that moment, fear took over. We rushed her to the emergency vet praying for a miracle. For about twenty minutes she seemed to be doing better and we had hope. But once she was taken to the back, everything changed. Your team quietly entered the room and asked us to step into a private space. That's when we heard the words no pet parent ever wants to hear: "Maddie didn't make it." Our hearts broke in ways we never could have prepared for. Maddie wasn't just a dog she was our first and only family dog, our third child, the one who taught our kids about unconditional love. She had been with us since she was a tiny puppy and lived every chapter of our lives right beside us. Losing her feels like losing a piece of our home. Through all of this heartbreak, your compassion mattered more than you may ever know. The kindness, tenderness, and respect you showed Maddie and us during the most terrifying and painful moments of our lives will stay with our family forever. You didn't treat her like "just another case." You treated her like a beloved soul. And you treated us like grieving parents, not clients. From the gentle way you spoke to us, to the care you gave Maddie in her final moments, to the softness in your voices when delivering the news. Thank you for trying. Thank you for acting quickly. Thank you for treating Maddie with dignity. Thank you for treating us with patience and compassion. Thank you for sitting with us in our grief, even for a moment. We are devastated and our home feels impossibly quiet now. The absence of her little face, her joy, her warmth is a hole we don't know how to fill. But knowing she was in caring hands brings us a small measure of peace. We wanted to take a moment to offer our deepest gratitude to the team at Epic Veterinary Hospital for your support during the most devastating night of our lives. Thank you for helping us through the hardest goodbye we've ever had to say. With heartfelt appreciation, The Weaver Family

The stinger that incompetent saaiman vet called "blurry"
    Charm M.

Update: We're now at our regular vet in Vista because our poor baby's eyes and mouth started swelling up. I'm absolutely furious that this was misdiagnosed -- it's heartbreaking that we had to go through this after being brushed off earlier. And guess what, it was an allergic reaction to the bee sting. You'd think that vet would leave his ego at home and listen to the pet parents. We took our dog to Epic Vet after he was stung by a bee and began vomiting -- which our regular vet recommended us to go to the nearest ER. I even showed Dr. Saiman a photo of the stinger I removed, but he brushed it off, saying the picture was "blurry" and repeatedly claiming, "we don't know what caused it." He kept referring to the sting as a "superficial abrasion," which made me feel like he wasn't listening or taking the situation seriously at all. He spent like 2 minutes tops with us in the room. His attitude came across as arrogant and dismissive, like he thought he was above explaining things to concerned pet owners. Instead of compassion or clear communication, we got indifference. He recommended Cerenia and wipes, but the whole visit felt rushed and condescending. What makes this even more disappointing is that this is the second bad vet experience we've had since moving to Temecula -- and I had hoped Epic Vet would finally be different. Unfortunately, it wasn't. For a place called Epic Vet, the experience was anything but. If you want a vet who genuinely listens, takes your concerns seriously, and treats your pet with care -- look elsewhere.

!! DO NOT COME HERE!! My dog was having ear issues and clearly uncomfortable, so we needed to get him seen ASAP. Our regular vet was closed, so we called around and were told this place had about a 3-hour wait. Fine. We got there at 9:00 PM expecting that. It is now 4:00 AM. We sat there for 7 HOURS and were NEVER seen. We literally had to leave because we have work in the morning. What's actually insane is that not a single person checked on us the entire time. No updates, no "hey we're running behind," nothing. Just completely ignored while sitting there all night with a dog in pain. When we finally asked for an update, the front desk worker, Emily (long brown hair), was rude, condescending, and had a nasty attitude. She told us we "weren't a priority" and that because other pets kept coming in, we were continuously getting pushed back. So basically, we were just expected to sit there indefinitely with zero communication. And honestly, the place didn't even feel clean. There were spiders and webs in the corners, which just made the whole experience feel even worse. I understand emergency vets get busy, but 7 hours with zero communication, rude staff, being told you're not a priority, and never even being seen is completely unacceptable. I would never come back here and would not recommend this place to anyone.

#3 states a deposit for your animal and when discharged payment in full. They made him sit for 6 hours and full payment before they helped

i want everyone to know what this place is really about and it's not your pet or you as an owner. have a dearhead chihuahua and she got pregnant, she went into labor yesterday morning, went through all stages fine, but we knew she might need vet help because is so small. babies were alive because i could see them moving and the first one was at the canal but not showing yet. so we found this place and called, told us just bring her in and we'll worry about the finances later, but bring her in. when got there the wouldn't see her att all even with partial payment , frantic looking for help over6 hours, by the time we got financial help the babies were dead, due to no emergency help to save her and the babies these people are heartless, they saw the crying, anxiety and worry and still did nothing. please do not take your animals here unless you have all the funds to do it, and still wouldn't take them here. oh ya forgot this part, dr came in and said if you can't pay in full for a c section she will die and so will the babies and turned and walked out. ya no sympathy, empathy what so ever just pay up or get out. had to give an update, since they waited to long she got an infection and she may not live, she dies i will be sueing these people. gave a choice put her down and they will refund all monies or the surgery and she has 50/50 chance. these people should be shut down. see the picture, it's on their website but the made him sit for 6 hours frantically gett funds together for full payment before they would even touch her.but that's not what is posted on their own website.

I always received thoughtful care and thorough explanations, with top notch lab work every year. The vet techs and front desk staff are great, but the vets that replaced a retired Dr. Alcorn and his staff are really bad, hard to understand, and flat out unprofessional. I booked an appointment after finding a raised bump near my dog's anus that clearly looked out of the ordinary. Doctor K insisted that it was "inflammation" and wanted to give me anti-inflammatory medicine for 10 days then return to see if it goes away. I had to ask why he would not biopsy it to make sure it's not a tumor, because it clearly looked odd and not at all like inflammation. He agreed to the biopsy. He called after several days and Lo & behold, it IS a tumor! And it was growing very rapidly. To be 100% honest, and I hate saying this, I couldn't understand what he was saying while on the phone. His accent makes it difficult to understand already unfamiliar words regarding her bloodwork. I did understand that he would have the staff call me back to schedule a surgery to remove it if I wanted to, or just leave it alone. I insisted that I wanted to remove it as quickly as possible, as I noticed it was growing fast. Staff never called. I started looking around for another vet, because at this point I wasn't confident in his professionalism. At day 10 I finally called and mentioned that he never called me back to schedule surgery. I admitted to the staff that I felt terrible, but I couldn't understand what he was saying about the bloodwork and was hoping they could help out. I apologized, and they mentioned that it actually happens often with him. They even offered to help relay some of the information as needed. When Dr. K finally called back the next day, I reminded him that he was supposed to call to schedule the surgery and he flat out said "Oh I forgot, I must've been delayed." And then asked for pictures of the mass before he agreed to do the surgery. As if he hadn't been the one to see the mass in the vet visit! I told him that I wanted to schedule the surgery right away, because it had grown in size and he had already forgotten to schedule once before. He said "okay send the pictures and I'll call back to schedule."...... Well, he never called back to schedule. So I took her to another veterinary office and they re-ran her bloodwork and scheduled her for surgery the next day! I called the front desk to politely discuss what happened with Dr. K and how unprofessional it was. I expressed disappointment because I loved their practice before. They mentioned that they did change ownership, and Dr. Alcorn retired, in fact, much of the original staff no longer works there. I apologized to the front desk staff and told them that the unprofessional experience had nothing to do with them, but that the overall experience was extremely bad. The staff I spoke to was so nice and understanding. She did ask if I wanted to speak to Dr. K. I asked her to remind him that I'm still waiting for him to call to schedule and see if he even bothers. He called that night at 8:40PM. 8:40PM........ honestly, what used to be a great vet hospital is now an unnecessarily expensive and unprofessional shit show. DO NOT BRING YOUR ANIMALS.

We brought our elderly dawg in to discuss end-of-life options for him at his advanced age and sudden health slide, and it was decided quickly that today would be the day to put him down and save him from his suffering and ongoing (soon to increase) health issues. Explaining the process was expected -- the rest of the visit and what came after was not and is WHY this place deserves more positive reviews. Not only were they caring and cleared a space for us to sit and say our goodbyes with zero pressure or rush of any kind, they could not have been more caring towards my son, the actual owner of the dawg, Beef. The visit was sad and we said our goodbyes and such, but their kindness and multiple offers of comfort was beautiful -- everything from offering us water, to giving us all the time in the world without even having made an appointment. We left our Beefy there with them to return to us, having chosen a box for cremation. What we received back was beyond anything I expected -- not only was the box shined up and beautiful, but they had included a copy of an explanation of Rainbow Bridge, a tiny pack of Kleenex, a package with a tuft of Beefy's fur, a clay paw print, an engraved name plaque, and a package of Forget-Me-Not seeds to plant in his honor. I didn't expect such a beautiful care package in his honor and we were all touched and surprised at the detail included and care it takes to provide something like this for the grieving family. It was very sweet of them. Also, there isn't a single vet there that we haven't had a good experience with. They're highly knowledgeable, caring, and they have always been willing to go above and beyond to be sure our dawgs are comfy and cared for.

He was nervous and crying a little, but he has always been somewhat anxious during vet visits. We have been bringing him there for the last 3 years and he never had serious issues afterward. This time, the vet was unable to take the blood sample and brought him back to us. After the visit, my dog suddenly developed severe diarrhea -- 5 times during the day and 3 more times during the night. He also lost his appetite for two days and became lethargic. Before this visit, he was a healthy dog with a normal appetite and no history of diarrhea problems. The next day I asked the clinic if they had used any calming spray, medication, or sedation because his behavior and physical condition changed so dramatically afterward. They completely denied using anything. What upset me even more was the response from the female vet, who said: "Don't blame me, blame your dog, he has anxiety." That response felt dismissive and unprofessional. Instead of showing concern and saying something like, "Please bring him back so we can check why he feels sick," I felt like they simply brushed the situation aside. I understand some dogs get nervous at the vet, but something clearly changed after this visit, and I left feeling ignored, frustrated, and with zero confidence in returning there again.
