Sonia F. :Words can't describe how thankful I am to the entire team at Pet wellness Center. I would especially love to give a special thanks to Dr.Frang , Tracy, Alex and All the nurses that helped us today. I called as an emergency , literally minutes before they were about to close and they were able to take in my Gris and save her. Im sooooo sorry team you had to stay late. THANK YOU for everything .

About 5 months ago my husband and I moved to Wildomar. Our Labrador Retriever began experiencing really bad allergies and we had to take help several times to the Pet Wellness Center during their after hours. Each time they have been fabulous. They have been kind and caring and have always helped us resolve the issues. Would definitely recommend

After her appointment waiting to go home. (On the doggie pad Dr Ross gave her!)

I just took my guinea pig here with an upper respiratory infection and they were SO SWEET to her! I gave her veggies before coming in to calm her down in her carrier, but that was a mistake because she pooped SO much. It looked like she needed a diaper it was so much. I asked to take her to the bathroom to clean her but Dr Ross didn't mind and cleaned her up so nicely! He was so understanding and patient about every question I had (I had a lot of questions). The room was also so adorablely decorated! My last vet took my pets into a different room to do the exams so I really love that they do the exam in front of you here. I could see everything they were doing and ask any question or request any checks that I needed. The exam fee was 80$ over the phone but the medication only came to 27$!! Soo cheap for all the care that they put into my girl. They also found an issue that my last vet didn't find and we might get that checked out later. My only issue is the fact that he flipped her on her back during the exam and cleaning which honestly wasn't cool, but she was okay and he was very gentle throughout the entire exam. I'm so excited to have found my new favorite vet!

Wow! What a big swollen ear!

Let me preface by saying: this is the place you've been looking for when it comes for care for your four-legged friends. Just before the new year, I came in urgently as my dog had developed a MASSIVE hematoma on her ear while I was traveling over the holidays. She was in very obvious pain and discomfort, and I was mentally and emotionally a wreck seeing her that way. I was told that her hematoma was one of the biggest that they've seen and my worries increased as I just wanted my dog to be okay. From start to finish, the urgent care staff at Pet Wellness Center were professional, caring and empathetic of the situation at hand, despite the fact that they probably see even more extreme situations on a day-to-day basis. When my dog was diagnosed with the hematoma and a surgery was recommended but not necessarily required, the staff was very respective of my financial decision to go through with the surgery or not and did not feel any pressure in that regard which I thoroughly appreciated. I ended up going through with the surgery at the recommendation of Dr. Fang. This is where I cannot put into words how grateful I am to Dr. Fang and his genuine love, care and concern for my dog. I have never gone to Pet Wellness Center before, it was my first time as I never had the need to go to an urgent care for my dog before. I was scared, my dog was in pain, and my mind was thinking of all the things that could go wrong. Dr. Fang assured me all things would go well and watching him approach my dog Harlee with such kindness made me want to trust him, and I did. Dr. Fang himself performed the surgery and did an amazing job at thoroughly explaining the procedure and even offered to show me images of what was done, which made me feel even more assured that he held the expertise I needed for my Harlee girl. My dog suffered one complication in which her ear re-swelled about a week after the surgery, which is also a rare feat in dog ear hematoma's when a surgery is done. Concerned, I brought her in during Dr. Fang's shift during urgent care hours and he recommended simply draining the site and go from there. Confident, I accepted his recommendation and her ear never re-swelled again. Throughout this entire process, Dr. Fang checked in on me/Harlee via email at least once a week or every couple of days in the early stages post-surgery. This was very very reassuring the entire time and alleviated an exorbitant amount of anxiety I had surrounding this process. To be quite honest, my dog Harlee is family and like a child to me. To that end, I will never be able to express the amount of gratitude I have inside for Dr. Fang and everyone else at Pet Wellness Center for the care I experienced here. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Uma, on the 2nd day after surgery already wanting to play!

Oh boy what a week! Our Siamese cat, Uma, needed emergency surgery for pyometra which apparently is pretty rare in cats - thus we thought her bloating was due to stress from the two kitten rescues we brought into our home and our recent move from OC. I called around to see if I could get her in for surgery and had no luck, so I booked an appointment with a local vet who thought that was her diagnosis but advised me to come back in the am after we got the blood work results. After seeing her bloating increase that night, I thought it best not to wait and called another local emergency vet center who quoted me 3x the price that Pet Wellness Center did! Luckily, Traci, the front desk employee asked Dr. Edward Fang if he was available, and thankfully, he and his team were able to fit her in due to the seriousness of the situation. Dr. Fang was SO kind and helpful, explaining what the procedure was, had me watch while he did the ultrasound to confirm this diagnosis and took me through what they would do and why. He also called me that night letting me know that they were having a hard time putting an IV in poor Uma (probably due to her stressful day!) and asked for my permission to take some other measures, reassuring me that this was safe but just wanted me to be aware of the situation. Dr. Edward Fang and his team, Alec, Alexandra, Samantha and Traci, were all so kind and thorough. I highly recommend them and plan to have Pet Wellness Center be our new vet team for our 4 cats and dog! Thank you so much for saving Uma! She is doing so good and already trying to play!

I'm kicking off Thanksgiving week by expressing my gratitude to Dr. Tanner Ross and all the amazing care that Dr. Ross and his team has given to my dog, Winterwolf. I have gone to Pet Wellness Center for my dog's veterinary needs for over a year and I have been blessed to have found this place. I truly appreciate Dr. Ross for his integrative approach, his compassionate care and his dedication to bring out the best in the veterinary field. Winterwolf is very happy to see him for every appointment; her cheerful tail wags and excited greetings say it all. I am grateful for Dr. Ross and his honesty and integrity. Dr. Ross, you have my trust and confidence.

It was a sad day a couple of weeks ago, my Little Teddi got nailed by my son's bigger dog. Not really Zoe's fault. Teddi doesn't understand play fighting so when the other 2 were playing close to me and growling, she jumped in not liking what was happening too close to her momma. My little protector!!! LOL Called my vet and they couldn't get her in so they suggested Pet Wellness Center. I called and they could see her for urgent care. I arrived at 4pm and they got her right in. She needed to have a front tooth extracted, stitches and cuts on her muzzle cleaned. They had her for a few hours and then I got to come back and pick her up. They were so wonderful and caring. I haven't had such quick and absolutely the nicest people at an emergency vet before. Sad for my little girl but she is doing well and so happy she finally has the collar of shame off!!!

Five star review from a fellow medical professional Being in the medical field, I tend to scrutinize they care my family receives From the first call to the pet wellness center, they accommodated my hectic schedule and squeezed in my puppy to be seen for a fractured elbow. They have curbside check-in, the vet tech comes out with your paperwork, you fill it out and then brought your puppy is in. My appointment was at 2:30 and they took me right on time. The service I received was top-notch. The front desk was empathetic to my situation and very professional. The veterinarian that saw my puppy was kind and courteous and very efficient with her assessment. We received x-rays within the next 20 minutes and blood results. We needed an orthopedic surgeon to help with this case and our surgery was scheduled the next day. The surgeon was absolutely wonderful, I was updated via telephone frequently The pick up process was just as wonderful as check-in. You check in via phone when you arrive and they bring out your pup to your car for you with your discharge instructions and you can voice any concerns at that time. Open communication with the vet is just a wonderful. Well done, the pet wellness center, from the front desk to the vet staff to the veterinarians.

This is by far the best vet we have ever experienced Dr.Ross and his staff are all so wonderful welcoming and just truly a blessing! We took Yoda in yesterday for his injured toe and Dr.Ross was an absolutely fantastic to us and Yoda. We can't thank him enough. All I have to say is if you need a vet pet wellness is the place!

Ask the Community - Pet Wellness Center

What is your price for an emergency exam?

Our after hours urgent care exams are $130

Is there an extra charge for after hour visits? I would like to schedule an appointment for my dog for X-rays of his hind limbs re: possible CCL tear. The next regular hours appointment is in 3 weeks. Thanks!

Urgent Care is Walk ins. anytime between 4pm and 11pm. Come visit us!

Do you have treatment options for a 9 year old cat with feline herpes virus? Other vets said to avoid stress but even with an exceptionally low stress life she has watery eyes almost constantly and often has labored breathing.

Good Morning, We would be happy to exam your fur baby to better assist in their treatment. We are currently booked until the third week of August. If you would like to set…

I see someone asked this a year ago so I will sk it now. Do you offer wellness plans yet?

Hello! Thank you for reaching out to us! As of right now, no we do not.

Can you recommend what to use my dogs head area has a very white flaky patches, she is not scratching surprising but it does not look good is there a special shampoo and conditioner to try?

There are lots of different shampoos and conditioners that might help but we would recommend an exam to see her first to make sure we send home the best product

Can I bring my dog in for a Bordetella vaccination only? Or do you also require a coinciding appointment for a checkup?

We do require a physical exam if we haven't met your dog before

Your practice seems very focused on care for dogs. Do you also have expertise with cats? I have two senior cats. One with asthma and the other on special diet due to pancreatitis last year. Looking for a new vet that can help with their care.

Yes we see about the same amount of cats as dogs actually so can definitely help you with that

Does this practice also do grooming?

We do have a groomer. She is only here one or two days a month currently.

Do you guys accept or recommend any pet insurance? We are getting a puppy soon and looking for advice?

With pet insurance you pay for services and then claim the cost back. Companies that we like are trupanion, healthy paws, embrace.

Are you able to send out for a modified knotts test?

That is a specific test that we would send out to the lab for you which we can do

Do they do dental?? My pup is up to date on shots. He needs a cleaning though

Yes we do dental cleanings, if you call in to us we can help you with pricing

I don't mean this to sound rude, but how Integrated is this vet? Shots versus tigers? Thoughts on Heartworms? Tubal legation versus Hysterectomy? We have a new puppy and are in search for the best fit.

We are integrated and often do titer tests. we can discuss heartworm and surgical options with you during your pet's exam.

Do you neuter? How much approximately

We do, the price varies on whether it is a dog or a kitty, there's also some difference in price depending on the weight of the pet

Do you guys offer red light laser therapy for CCL injury?

    Yes we do!

Do You have Experience with Feline Diabetes?

Yes, we actually have a few pets in our care with diabetes

    Any wellness plans for dogs?

Not right now but that's something we'll be looking into soon

Do you match pet med costs from on-line (800-PetMeds), Smith & Foster, or Costco? My Husky/GSD is on Proin 50 for life and I'm on a fixed income, so cost is important. Thanks!

We have very reasonable prices and we will try to price match where possible.

Are you a holistic vet who treats mange with natural options?

Hi Theresa! We offer both conventional medicine and Eastern medicine like herbalism and acupuncture. Please let us know if you would like an appointment.

Before the office manager writes some response I've had 4 animals seen at this office so this isn't the only issue I've had. This is the one I feel compelled to share with the public. My little frenchie has one weird curved toe nail. He wouldn't let anyone touch it because it formed a little blister on the pad next to that toe. (gone now but had it for a while) Petco said he was a drama queen. So i reluctantly paid for an annual check up just to get his nails trimmed by his vet under sedation. I spoke to the vet about the specific toe and she agreed it was probably why he didn't want ppl touching it. Somehow even after explaining myself and paying for sedation his curved toe nail was NOT trimmed. While all the others were. His curved toe is now overgrown nearly into the pad of his paw. Now he's more sensitive to it then he was before. I need to mention they did give him a sedative but no one waited for the sedation to take effect before trimming his nails. So he was screaming in the back. He was wide awake when they brought him out (clearly didn't wait for sedation) . I reluctantly paid left without checking. I wasn't aware I needed to check all of his toes and about 10 minutes down the road he started getting groggy. When I was ready to schedule his next nail trim this month at a doggy groomer with the prescription I left with (to avoid going back for constant nail trimming) I fought him to look at the nail and that's when I discovered what they missed. Instead of trying to fix the nails problem and offer any kind of solutions I was given a bunch of excuses (as if I've never trimmed his nails the past 3 years or like I've never had other dogs and years of nail trimmings) insert my eye roll to the "well we work in vets offices" "nails grow differently lengths" excuse excuse excuse also heard that vets not here oh that techs not here either. It was always a NEW vet. Insert another eye roll. Zero consistency in the office and zero confidence in basic skills. For those reading this feel free to google how common it is for groomers to miss a curved nail and then you can tell me if some blanketed statements like nails grow different lengths is just a cop out for not wanting to absorb the cost to fix their mistake! They care more about their Bottom line than they do Animal care or they could've easily said. "We understand the service you paid us for wasn't completely correctly and here is how we plan to correct that for you as our loyal customer:" Because in reality that's all I was asking for was them to admit fault (drs never do!) and to offer to cover his sedation to fix the toe. That's all it would've taken to save them from a 1star review A little customer service when you've wronged a customer and charged them full price is the right thing to do. If I had gone to a free clinic I guess I wouldn't have anything to complain about since they help people. You only help yourselves. The motto at SoCal pet hospital is : Bottom line OVER Animals Thank you for making his fear WORSE NOT better. Thank you for being so in able to say "We were wrong" "sorry we missed that" "that's a common mistake" Your inability to accept accountability has earned you one star. I'd give less if I could

We took her to a conventional vet to rule out UTI/kidney issues and had X rays done to ensure there was nothing grossly abnormal structurally with her bones. Everything checked out and I knew I didn't want to start her on a medication with significant side effects or have her on pain meds indefinitely, so I searched for holistic vets who did acupuncture and was so happy to see Dr. Rose was local to us! . On our first visit, Dr. Rose did a thorough exam of Nikka and informed us that Nikka had an unusual heart murmur. A different vet at a conventional clinic that had seen Nikka just a few weeks earlier also mentioned the heart murmur but said it was very mild/quiet and didn't seem concerned about it all and didn't give us any indication that it needed to be investigated. I thought that the murmur must be no big deal based on how the first vet handled the finding. Dr. Rose immediately told us that Nikka's heart murmur was quite pronounced and unusual sounding and she gave us a lot of info and recommendations on next steps. . Well, today we took Nikka to a cardiologist where she had an ECHO and it turns out she has dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM), which, thankfully, has been caught early and might be able to be improved with medication and dietary changes. . Dr. Rose literally saved Nikka's life with her attention to detail, her excellent clinical skills, and her prompt and informative follow up and recommendations. I will be eternally and forever grateful to her competence and expertise. . Nikka has also had 2 sessions of acupuncture and cold laser/photobiomodulation and she definitely has more pep in her step. Nikka also loves coming to Serenity Holistic Vet, she isn't anxious or nervous and just settles right down and relaxes when the acupuncture needles are in. Dr. Rose is a gem and we are so lucky to have her here in Murrieta.

They got us checked in quickly, kept me informed every step of the way, answered every question I had, and were patient throughout the entire process. My girl has severe anxiety and was in a lot of pain, but everyone treated her so gently and made her feel as comfortable as possible. They also took the initiative to quickly obtain her complex medical history and made sure she received the appropriate care without delay. The entire team is extremely knowledgeable, compassionate, and truly goes above and beyond for both their patients and their owners. They exceeded every expectation I had, and I am so grateful for the exceptional care they provided. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of my girl. I will absolutely return to this hospital if we ever have another emergency or need prompt medical attention. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

How is that 24 hr care? I didn't have time to wait around on a Monday morning when I should be going to work. Finally I called VCA and the woman I spoke to over the phone was very friendly and said I could come in right away. They're really easy to see off the freeway and there's plenty of parking. Customer service was great from the moment I got there. The doctor explained treatment options well and addressed any concerns I had. I would definitely recommend this place if you ever need medical treatment for your pet.

When we arrived around 11 a.m., it was definitely busy. There were a lot of people, and some were even standing because all the seats were taken. No dramatic long line. But honestly, they moved through everyone much faster than I expected. We waited about 30-40 minutes, but it went by pretty quickly, and once it was our turn, my dog was in and out in about 10 minutes. They also offer a military discount, which was a nice bonus. I was expecting to spend around $100, but all three of my dog's vaccines came out to only $65 in total! I was honestly shocked at how affordable it was. If you're looking for budget-friendly vaccines for your pet, I highly recommend coming here. They accept walk-ins on Saturdays, and Saturdays are the only day they offer both walk-ins and discounted vaccines. This is definitely going to be my go-to place for my baby girl from now on. Great prices, efficient service, and a wonderful experience overall!

The staff were as friendly as they could be but seemed a little busy and maybe burnt out a little bit. They were pretty busy but at least the wait wasn't that long. I also liked that they were precautious and caring about my dog's health but weren't using fear tactics to get me to buy more medicine or food, or do more medical tests. The bill was reasonable.

Nobody has called or emailed results. My second complaint is that when I asked them to show me how to visually put in medication in ear and how to use the ear flush, they were no help. They didn't show me how, they only read me the instructions. I had to go home and watch a YouTube video to figure it out. Which was really hard to try to put in medication in my dogs ear and my dog doesn't let me. They should have gave me oral medication or gave me my best option based on my dog or at least gave me tips or tricks on how to put in medication.
