I am so thankful and grateful to have found this place. My guinea pig sadly unexpectedly passed away about a week or so ago. I was heartbroken and was looking for a place to bring my special boy to be cremated because I couldn't bear burying him in my backyard. With just a phone call, I was able to bring my boy down to this clinic and have an employee meet me outside to take him and help with starting the process of cremation. I felt so loved and cared for by every employee I came in contact with. I couldn't keep myself from crying, and they helped me through every step of the process. They let me take a moment in the bathroom to collect myself, they offered to trim some hair and put it in a special bottle for me, and even took rainbow stamps of his nose and feet on a piece of paper for me to have a piece of him with me since I wouldn't get his cremation box and paw prints back for a few days. They also let me come into the back and say my last goodbyes, taking as long as I needed. They told me how pretty he was and how they could tell he was a special boy to me. I couldn't have asked for a better experience for such a terrible situation. I walked out of there feeling so comfortable knowing they were taking care of him and making sure he would make it back home to me just as I wanted. I just went back today and received his cremation box along with other little things they added into the bag to make it special (a bag of forget me not seeds, little tissues, and flyers and a postcard with helpful heartfelt messages). I truly appreciate the love they put into caring for a pet that has passed on. Thank you to every employee that helped me that day, especially the front desk woman, and thank you for being so caring. Dr Ross is nothing short of amazing! When my 13 year old American Bulldog first saw him she was struggling physically and barely mobile. She needed help getting up and struggled to get around on her own. He started her on acupuncture, supplements, added certain foods to her diet, and gave me some physical therapy instructions for home. After her first appointment, she got off the couch to greet me when I got home! It had been weeks since she last did that. She was able to walk around much better and has continued to improve with each visit. Dr Ross started her with weekly acupuncture and has since moved to every other week because of the progress she has made. She is now able to go down the stairs (practically on her own), gets up on her own, goes potty outside by herself, and walks around the house on her own. Dr Ross has such a calming and kind demeanor. I wish we had found him sooner! He really has our baby girl's best interest in mind. He isn't trying to make a buck by selling us supplements we don't need. He actually advised that we could give her human supplements to save money. Their check in process is great because it is less stressful for our fur babies. You call from your car and they will come out and get you so that you won't run into any other patients on your way in or out. Last Friday, I took my dog to this urgent care because he had bloody stool, and that's when I met Dr. Fang for the first time. He listened to my concerns carefully and took the time to answer all of my questions in a kind and thorough manner. In my past experiences with other vets, they often didn't listen much and gave quick, rushed answers without spending much time with us. However, Dr. Fang was completely different and provided a level of care I had never experienced before. He personally called me with the results of the stool test, and even followed up a few days later to check on how my dog was doing. (At the clinics I previously visited, I had to call them myself to get any updates.) Dr. Fang and his team of nurses are a diamond in the rough. I took my 9 year old Great Dane to another veterinarian office, where they found a very large tumor on my boy's spleen. While I respect the opinions of all veterinarians, I did not feel right about the options presented to me. Following my gut, I decided to get a second opinion, which is when I was referred to Dr. Fang by a friend in the veterinarian field. The first moment I met Dr. Fang, a feeling of comfort swept over me. He listened. Really listened to every concern and reasoning as to why my gut was telling me this wasn't my dog's time to go. Dr. Fang gave me honest facts about the situation, the risks, the cost, the options available to me, the route other owners facing the same type of tumor have taken. We decided to do the surgery, which was discouraged by the previous vet. Throughout the whole process, Dr. Fang emailed me with updates, himself, while also getting phone calls from his amazing nurses. Upon pick up, Dr. Fang greeted us at the door and brought us back to sit with our boy while we waited for him to finish waking up. Dr Fang was amazing. We took our miniature poodle in one evening. He was gagging and couldn't stop. I was concerned that he might have caught a magnolia pod piece in his throat and maybe swallowed some and might have an internal bleed. (He had been playing keep away with it.) Dr. Fang listened, examined him and made several recommendations. I said go ahead and about 45 minutes later, Dr Fang brought out my calm poodle, breathing normally and with pictures showing me what he found and where it was located and the piece that was causing all the gagging and choking. It was pretty scary, but Dr. Fang was calm and calmed me down with his explanations, recommendations and results. He also followed up with me to make sure my dog was doing well. I just took my guinea pig here with an upper respiratory infection and they were SO SWEET to her! I gave her veggies before coming in to calm her down in her carrier, but that was a mistake because she pooped SO much. It looked like she needed a diaper it was so much. I asked to take her to the bathroom to clean her but Dr Ross didn't mind and cleaned her up so nicely! He was so understanding and patient about every question I had (I had a lot of questions). The room was also so adorablely decorated! My last vet took my pets into a different room to do the exams so I really love that they do the exam in front of you here. I could see everything they were doing and ask any question or request any checks that I needed. The exam fee was 80$ over the phone but the medication only came to 27$!! Soo cheap for all the care that they put into my girl. They also found an issue that my last vet didn't find and we might get that checked out later. My only issue is the fact that he flipped her on her back during the exam and cleaning which honestly wasn't cool, but she was okay and he was very gentle throughout the entire exam. Took my extremely ill puppy to this Vet. Hoping to get her seen and treated in a timely manner. However! She was never treated, only took a Parvo Test costing $94.00 and waited several hours with absolutely no other treatment. My pup couldn't get nothing even close to treatment. She had diarrhea and serious vomiting, and no Parvo at all. Yet they expected $498.00 total treatment. Only needed Probiatics for tummy. Which I never got. I paid $229.00 and all I got was a Parvo Test. I told them my fur baby had all her shots and like I expected "NO" Parvo. So $229.00 went down the drain. While they stood around unconcerned on treating my pup. I will "Never" recommend such a place. They will let your animal suffer before treatment. Worse Vet Ever! read more

It has been one year since we had to say goodbye to our fur baby Lucy. One year ago today. The doctor and staff were all so amazing. I still think of my fur baby and I'm so thankful that I had this team to help. I still have the staffs hand written condolences card next to Lucy's paw impression. Let me preface by saying: this is the place you've been looking for when it comes for care for your four-legged friends. Just before the new year, I came in urgently as my dog had developed a MASSIVE hematoma on her ear while I was traveling over the holidays. She was in very obvious pain and discomfort, and I was mentally and emotionally a wreck seeing her that way. I was told that her hematoma was one of the biggest that they've seen and my worries increased as I just wanted my dog to be okay. From start to finish, the urgent care staff at Pet Wellness Center were professional, caring and empathetic of the situation at hand, despite the fact that they probably see even more extreme situations on a day-to-day basis. When my dog was diagnosed with the hematoma and a surgery was recommended but not necessarily required, the staff was very respective of my financial decision to go through with the surgery or not and did not feel any pressure in that regard which I thoroughly appreciated. I ended up going through with the surgery at the recommendation of Dr. Fang. This is where I cannot put into words how grateful I am to Dr. Fang and his genuine love, care and concern for my dog. I have never gone to Pet Wellness Center before, it was my first time as I never had the need to go to an urgent care for my dog before. I was scared, my dog was in pain, and my mind was thinking of all the things that could go wrong. Dr. Fang assured me all things would go well and watching him approach my dog Harlee with such kindness made me want to trust him, and I did. Dr. Fang himself performed the surgery and did an amazing job at thoroughly explaining the procedure and even offered to show me images of what was done, which made me feel even more assured that he held the expertise I needed for my Harlee girl. My dog suffered one complication in which her ear re-swelled about a week after the surgery, which is also a rare feat in dog ear hematoma's when a surgery is done. Concerned, I brought her in during Dr. Fang's shift during urgent care hours and he recommended simply draining the site and go from there. Confident, I accepted his recommendation and her ear never re-swelled again. Throughout this entire process, Dr. Fang checked in on me/Harlee via email at least once a week or every couple of days in the early stages post-surgery. This was very very reassuring the entire time and alleviated an exorbitant amount of anxiety I had surrounding this process. To be quite honest, my dog Harlee is family and like a child to me. To that end, I will never be able to express the amount of gratitude I have inside for Dr. Fang and everyone else at Pet Wellness Center for the care I experienced here. Oh boy what a week! Our Siamese cat, Uma, needed emergency surgery for pyometra which apparently is pretty rare in cats - thus we thought her bloating was due to stress from the two kitten rescues we brought into our home and our recent move from OC. I called around to see if I could get her in for surgery and had no luck, so I booked an appointment with a local vet who thought that was her diagnosis but advised me to come back in the am after we got the blood work results. After seeing her bloating increase that night, I thought it best not to wait and called another local emergency vet center who quoted me 3x the price that Pet Wellness Center did! Luckily, Traci, the front desk employee asked Dr. Edward Fang if he was available, and thankfully, he and his team were able to fit her in due to the seriousness of the situation. Dr. Fang was SO kind and helpful, explaining what the procedure was, had me watch while he did the ultrasound to confirm this diagnosis and took me through what they would do and why. He also called me that night letting me know that they were having a hard time putting an IV in poor Uma (probably due to her stressful day!) and asked for my permission to take some other measures, reassuring me that this was safe but just wanted me to be aware of the situation. Dr. Edward Fang and his team, Alec, Alexandra, Samantha and Traci, were all so kind and thorough. They have curbside check-in, the vet tech comes out with your paperwork, you fill it out and then brought your puppy is in. My appointment was at 2:30 and they took me right on time. The service I received was top-notch. The front desk was empathetic to my situation and very professional. The veterinarian that saw my puppy was kind and courteous and very efficient with her assessment. We received x-rays within the next 20 minutes and blood results. We needed an orthopedic surgeon to help with this case and our surgery was scheduled the next day. The surgeon was absolutely wonderful, I was updated via telephone frequently The pick up process was just as wonderful as check-in. You check in via phone when you arrive and they bring out your pup to your car for you with your discharge instructions and you can voice any concerns at that time. I have 3 dogs and I'm quite picky about Vets. I dont like a hands-off approach for my pets. I like vets to get down on the floor and spend time making them comfortable. Thats Dr. Hass. I have seen most of the vets that practice at Pet Wellness and Dr. Hass is the perfect combination of gentle and thorough. She is listens to (and addresses) every single concern. She doesn't feel rushed, even in the midst of emergency. She explains everything along the way. She is also realistic and informed and I appreciate that so very much from a vet. My cat has struggled with FIP for a while. Dr. Fang has gone above and BEYOND in his care for Mitzy. Although FIP is almost impossible to detect - blood work and tests can help us indicate the possibility of it. My cat received the Bova treatment from one of the top researchers of FIP (Stokes). Bova GS 441524, seemed like a miracle at first because FIP had a 100% fatality rate if suspected. She was doing a lot better, however recently she relapsed. It is heart breaking but Dr. Fang continued to show kindness and dedication throughout the entire process. I appreciate the front stuff for always being so kind and helpful as well. read more

This is in response to Dr. Tanner Ross that felt the need to respond to my previous post about the Pet Wellness Center refusing to even see us when I reached out requesting help with my fearful dog. I am well aware that some dogs need sedation and muzzles, I am perfectly ok with that. My current vet gave us 3 different types of sedatives, none of which did the trick. We take him in muzzled as well. I was told that "fear free clinics" have less stressful ways and techniques for vaccinating and caring for dogs while also using sedatives. I was purely reaching out for help from a place that I thought knew what they were doing but was instead turned away before even getting a chance to bring my dog in. After doing a little more research I'm glad I didn't bring him in considering only yourself and one other vet is "fear free certified". Correct me if I'm wrong but does your website not say that the entire staff is "trained on fear free handling", sounds like false advertising to me. Also, I've seen multiple reviews of how rude your front office staff is and after seeing your childish responses to people that are less than happy with your work, I can see where your staff gets it from. Shit tends to run downhill. If I am at all wrong about anything I've said, I'd love to come in and have you personally explain it to me. We found a little kitten who was having a health issue (no BM's) and felt she really needed to be seen but we were out-of-town. We gave a call to Pet Wellness in Murrieta. Julia answered and she told us to please bring her in. It was shortly before their closing and Julia did everything to make kitty, and us so comfortable. She made us feel that kitty would be fine. She gives impeccable customer service. I wish she worked for me. Kitty even started to purr. Doctor Fang was just about to go into surgery, but wanted to check the severity of kittys' issue. He addressed kitty's needs and began her treatment. The staff was mesmerized by this little beauty and were curious to know what we were going to do with her. We told them that we had a cat rescue that we were going to take her to. 3 Pet Wellness employees said that they would be happy to give her a home. I used to love this place but it has continued to disappoint me. I recently lost my dog to a veterinarian's negligence or incompetence at this place. While the owner is good but is always too busy to get an appointment soon with. Oh and he charges more as well. Now they are charging a service fee if you pay with a credit card. I've see this before but it shows on your receipt after paying well this place does not so you get a pretty significant price difference. Something like 3.5% more. They don't tell you the difference just that it will cost more than cash. The price on your paid receipt doesn't show what they actually bill until you get your statement. read more

I've been coming to Pet Wellness center for a several years now and normally no issues. Dr. Fang is amazing and Dr. Paciotti was my original Dr for my cat's. But lately I've been getting Dr. Hausss. Today was HORRIBLE !!! I brought in 2 of my cat's for their check up and some shots. I've NEVER been so insulted and miss treated in my freaking life !!! Yes , I smoke cigarettes and have for 30 something years. Yet today DR. HAUSSS claims to be allergic to the smell of cigarettes. So instead of doing her job she properly she took my pets in the back and wouldn't have my appointment the way it normally goes. I understand some people don't like the smell of cigarettes but to claim all of a sudden to be allergic is insane. But to top it off the nurse tech had us wait up front. ( Not a problem ) Then we hear Dr. Hausss literally talking SHIT on me to other staff members !!!! I come to find out she claims to be allergic to all kinds of smell like cleaners and bleach as well. Answer me this please. What the HELL are you doing as a Professional Vet if you can't be around those smells !!! I'm calling completely bullshit !!! I'm very upset and angry. Amazing care by Dr Thomas and Courtney. Our 4yr old Chi hurt her back. Took her here for an emergency visit. The place was cleaned, their exam rooms were cozy with couches; felt like we were home. Based off the initial exam, we loved that he didn't immediately jumped into getting X-rays. He the recommended medication route first and will assess later. They also offered 10% military discount off the visit. The front desk staff was kind to email me the new patient form so I would have it ready by the time of arrival. We've been bringing our dog to this veterinary practice for over four years, and I just had to leave an updated review after moving to San Diego. Since our 15-year-old dog was recently diagnosed with osteosarcoma here, I've come to appreciate this clinic even more. Trying to find a new vet in our area has been a challenge, and nothing seems to live up to the standard of care we received here. Whether it's my emotions running high or the reality that this team truly went above and beyond, I now realize just how great they are. When I called recently to request our dog's medical records, I ended up printing over 150 pages for our new (and frankly disappointing) vet and oncologist. As I skimmed through the detailed notes--super meticulous documentation of every test, phone call, and in-person conversation--I was moved. It might sound strange, but I was overwhelmed with gratitude. The care and attention they gave us over the years jumped off every page. You'd think thorough documentation like this would be standard, but I compared it to another clinic we would visit occasionally, and those notes were barely legible chicken scratch. KO's records really matter at this time so I feel so fortunate to have them on hand from this team. Dr. Kirscher is one of the standout vets we've had the pleasure of working with. I'll never forget when she discovered our dog's dislocated hip socket--something that had gone unnoticed for years because previous X-rays had always focused on his chest. She took the time to explain everything thoroughly and with real compassion over the phone. What stood out most was her commitment to making sure we truly understood our dog's condition, actually educating us instead of having to Google our questions--something we're quickly realizing isn't common as we search for a new vet in San Diego. I don't believe she's still at the clinic, as we haven't been assigned to her in some time, but the impact she made has stayed with us. Dr. Ross also made a lasting impression. Despite his packed schedule, he sat with us and went over X-rays in detail, answering every question to give us peace of mind. He's soft spoken and you can always tell how much he loves animals. That kind of presence and care really matters. Dr. Piachatti showed incredible patience and empathy as we came to terms with our dog's cancer diagnosis. She even squeezed us in between appointments on short notice when our boy woke up screaming in pain from arthritis. Her kindness made a heartbreaking day a little more bearable. We also want to acknowledge Kerissa, who handled our dog's dental procedure--a big risk for an older pup. She was professional, gentle, and kind throughout the entire process. It's likely a scheduling thing because we all know we want our dog to be seen STAT, but it makes a big difference, especially with a senior dog. My husband also wishes he could be inside during visits to help ease our dog's anxiety. I personally don't mind the curbside setup. I appreciate that they come out to us, even in burning heat. Sometimes they stay out with us just to explain how our dog did during his appointment. Overall, this is a truly dedicated team doing incredibly tough work with care, professionalism, and heart. I wish I could give zero stars. Do NOT bring your dog for a dental cleaning. They broke 2 of my poor dog's teeth and decided to extract 5 teeth without our permission. Why would they not get consent before extractions?? And why were the 2 teeth broken during the cleaning. Who are they hiring here?? The front office was SO rude as well. I called at 4:45 on Friday, they close at 11. Was told the doctor had to perform a surgery so the wait would be long, but they would call back after the surgery to let us know if we should bring her in or if we should wait until the morning. No call back, so at 9 pm we called ourselves and they told us the doctor was already about to leave for the night. We explained multiple times what the issue was and was not once told she couldn't be seen here. They open at 9 on Saturday, I'm at the parking lot at 8:50 to make sure we can get seen as early as possible. It's call to check in. The lady on the phones informs us the doctor is running late this morning and asks us what the issue is. Once we explain, she tells us that if it's a break or a sprain she cannot be seen. I drove 40 minutes to be here. Why wasn't I told last night that she couldn't be seen here? I was told to come in at 9am. On top of that, the lady on the phone says they don't do emergency care here, but right on the window it says emergency and urgent care, mind you, they told me yesterday not to come in because they were doing a surgery; emergency care??? read more

Pet wellness center does it yet again! I unfortunately have had to visit them for more than wellness visits on a very regular basis thanks to my very active and accident prone pups. Fortunately, everyone at pet wellness center always does an amazing job at getting my pups in asap, they provide excellent service and always leave feeling like my boys received all the care they need with a splash of love from the staff. We brought here our baby boy Loki after another vet's malpractice killed our girl cat Tuna. We were devastated and Dr. Fang did his best to help Loki and today our baby Loki is feeling better. It is so sad how our both cats had same symptoms, one got better and other passed away in 2days because of wrong vet choice. I really liked how Dr. Fang was honest and ethical and did not try to sell us more useless medication or tests. Also, Sarah was so nice and kept an eye on Loki all day and gave us all the updates.
