After much consideration I feel compelled to leave an honest review. I feel like we were misled…read morewith false information about this property. Several of the amenities were not available, the property was run down and dirty. After we arrived at the Glade cabin we walked down the property to see what it had to offer. We noticed our cabin did not have a washer and dryer in it as described and didn'tfind the communal area laundry to use. There was no map provided and no signage to guide what areas were private and for public use. We came upon the wood burning sauna and I gasped when i opened the door. It was run down, super rustic and it honestly reminded me of a crematorium. Next to that was the cool dip pool which was not in working order and not listed as that on the rental description. Several reviews seem like the pool hasnt been in use for a few years. We then walked up to the "castle" on a narrow foot bridge and at the top were what seemed to be two drunk men who claimed they lived there. They were blocking the walkway, and to get around them was awkward. They asked us how we found this place and why we were there. Something didn't sit right with that encounter, so we continued walking instead of going inside to see the communal area. We went back to our cabin and never used the rest of the property after that. It did not seem eco friendly either. The property seems to be in a constant state of construction that other things get overlooked and unkempt. The glade cabin was just ok. It was secluded which was a plus. It seemed clean however there was a strong musty smell throughout. No cleaning supplies offered. The cabin had an ant problem inside and a bee problem outside of the entry doors. Both doors were hard to lock from inside. The main door leading to the kitchen had quite a large gap between it and the frame causing an easy way for insects to get in. The keypad was also not working properly and had a constant noise coming from it which was annoying while trying to sleep. The furniture was old and not comfortable. It did have good wifi and was able to stream on the TV. The lightning was very dim inside, and although it had a lot of lights it was still dark. Im not sure how this property keeps getting good reviews, but i did find quite a few similar to mine. On TripAdvisor there is also mention of this being a nudist camp which was not mentioned in any of the rental descriptions. That, and the non working pool and sauna alone would have made me not book in the first place. Again misleading and unsettling. It is close to the national park which is why we originally chose this place. We spent as much time away from it as possible and only returned to sleep. We did not once see any employees or property managers. I would caution anyone to rethink booking here.

There's truly something for everyone, whether you're looking to relax or explore. We loved the dry sauna and the jacuzzi tub in our room, and spent our evenings cooking, sitting by the fire, and playing records. It was the perfect mix of cozy and fun. The property also has a hot tub, a cold plunge, and dry sauna and you can books massages, cooking classes and yoga classes on the property! So many other unique touches throughout -- you can really feel how much thought has gone into creating a serene and welcoming space. You can do as much or as little as you want here, and that flexibility makes it feel like your retreat. Can't recommend it enough. I am already dreaming about our next stay later this year!

The views alone are worth the trip. Rolling hills, open skies, and quiet moments that make you forget the pace of DC entirely. What made the experience unforgettable for me was exploring the grounds. The stables are absolutely beautiful, and getting to visit the horses added such a special, personal touch. And yes... I have to mention Cupcake --the sweetest pony who completely stole the show. The fire pits were another highlight. There's something about sitting by the fire, taking in the scenery, and just being present that felt grounding in the best way. It's the kind of place where time stretches a little longer and everything feels a bit softer. Whether you're going for a day trip or a full stay, this is luxury that feels warm, not distant--elevated, but still deeply welcoming. A perfect reminder that sometimes you don't have to go far to truly get away.

Glad to have finally made this purchase back at the end of 2020 - the hot tub is so therapeutic and relaxing. Since we were unfamiliar with the DC area, we found ourselves needing directions and recommendations several times. They were always incredibly kind, professional, patient, and courteous. No matter how many questions we had, they took the time to help us with a smile, making us feel comfortable and welcome throughout our stay. Working in the customer service industry myself, I truly value exceptional service and professionalism. The level of care shown to my husband, myself, and even our daughter, who lives in DC, did not go unnoticed. It's clear that hospitality is a priority here. The hotel itself was beautiful. The lobby has an elegant ambiance, the rooms were comfortable and inviting, and the amenities were excellent. We especially enjoyed the swimming pool, the relaxing sauna, and the well-equipped fitness center. One of our favorite surprises was the Marquee Bar & Lounge. It was the perfect place to unwind with a glass of wine or a cocktail. My husband and I loved the relaxed atmosphere, great vibes, and inviting ambiance. If you're visiting Washington, DC, I highly recommend staying at the Omni. Between the beautiful accommodations, outstanding amenities, and the incredible team members like Jamal and Alex, this hotel delivers an experience that truly makes you feel at home. My suggestion is go early - ride the lazy river and whatever you really want to ride. This place fills up quickly. If you have little kids I'm sure they would have a blast. However our older kids got bored quickly and literally said - this is it?? The lazy river is small The outside water slides are very simplistic and can get huge lines. The wave park is small there's no other word here to even begin to describe it. The one flow rider that they have - the two guys running it let a person on and gave them all sorts of time if they liked the person. 4 people were in front of my kids and it took more than 45 min for them to get a turn. So not worth the wait. Granted we have been to Hershey Park water park which is about 10x+ bigger than this waterpark. We also are close to Kalahari and Great Wolf both of which have larger water parks than this place. Overall review 2.5 stars - again little kids would probably have a great time.
