I love this waterpark and this year it was particularly special because this was my first year, bringing my children here. I hadn't been to Massanutten since 2017 with my Godmom and my aunt. So almost a decade. Since I had been here. There has been so many additions and improvements to this waterpark. I love that they are putting an edit into improving the park. Every time we come, we never pay for the waterpark because we attend the seminar for the timeshares and they give us free passes! Went there last week for the day. Took kids aged 16-22. 1 be aware that this has strange hours and when we were there (peak season) they didn't even open till 11:30. My suggestion is go early - ride the lazy river and whatever you really want to ride. This place fills up quickly. If you have little kids I'm sure they would have a blast. However our older kids got bored quickly and literally said - this is it?? The lazy river is small The outside water slides are very simplistic and can get huge lines. The wave park is small there's no other word here to even begin to describe it. The one flow rider that they have - the two guys running it let a person on and gave them all sorts of time if they liked the person. 4 people were in front of my kids and it took more than 45 min for them to get a turn. So not worth the wait. Granted we have been to Hershey Park water park which is about 10x+ bigger than this waterpark. We also are close to Kalahari and Great Wolf both of which have larger water parks than this place. Overall review 2.5 stars - again little kids would probably have a great time. Older kids not so much. However the price tag just isn't worth what you get. Beware they are adding on an adult only area. Looks to be more hotel than waterpark. read more

We went to the indoor water park here since it's shoulder season and not everything is open. Only the indoor water park was open, the outdoor water park is closed until Memorial Day weekend. The park was clean, well staffed, and lines moved quickly at rides. They had commentary life jackets but only one in adult size which was weird but it worked since only one person in our party wanted one. You don't really need a life packet since most rides have water going up to only about 3 feet My favorite ride was the last river. We spent a long time on our tubes in the lazy river. I also loved all the water slides and was amazed by the availability of 3 person tubes which made us super fun for our party of 3 to ride together. They also have surf lessons included which I wanted to try but they closed the water park 2 hours early with no disclosure of reasons. The hot tubs were great too The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because the tickets cost $63 whether it's only for the indoor park or for the indoor and outdoor park admission. There is no discounted rate during the off season when the outdoor park is not in operation, or at least that's what it seemed from the online website. read more

This was our first time at an indoor water park, the disappointment was high. We frequent water parks back home and I say this is a quarter of what you'd get anywhere else. I get they have an outdoor park that makes it bigger but then the park tickets should be cheaper in the off season. Waterpark food, don't even try. It was a huge hassle and really isn't worth the price. I think people in jail get better food. Kid behind the counter was good but they kept messing up our order. More than once. Wasn't the kids fault though. As far as rules go: they don't check bags, I watched many patrons with food and drinks not from the facility (including alcoholic), kids in the adult hot tub BUT the lifeguards did great and honestly it was still a good time, just not 50 dollars a person good. We went WITH 1 boy of the same age different size and the other two the same age different sizes. You have to break up as a family to do things for children 12 and under. Most attractions were closed. Went to timeshare meeting. I was 100% honest with my answers. The young kid speaking to us was aggressive and loud. He did not like my honesty at all. He kept being combative. I had to walk away and ask for his boss. For which at that time there was no seen until the boss, little guy arrived screaming coming out the door then came up screaming in my face and using vulgar language I'm sure the hole building heard. Okay, so their web page is a bit wonky and even their staff couldn't figure out their pricing without pulling out a binder. On the positive - no fee to park. The admission fees are absolutely crazy ridiculously high. For a season pass (not even annual - season) for one person they want $350! That is just so crazy. We are from Texas and have family that lives near the water park. Our HUGE waterparks around San Antonio are not anywhere near that price for a season pass and this water park is MUCH smaller. Were it not the only water park around they would go out of business. The initial staff as you enter and pay were not very friendly and as indicated, had to look things up in binders. Fortunately, once inside the park, all of the staff were very friendly and pleasant. The park is in two parts - the inside and the outside. The inside has a lazy river, a hot spa area, a kids simple water area and then the kids big attraction that has three water slides. For younger kids this is great! The outside park has a wave pool which goes from essentially 1" - 6'. Overall it is good. There is also a kids wading area, a kids basketball (in the water) area, a 4-lane water slide; a 3 water water tubes. The water tubes a legit and good for all ages. The lockers are $30 but you get $10 back when you return the key so I can't complain about that - pretty consistent with amusement parks. To get to the water park level itself, you have to go through a snack area and through a video arcade - not cool for parents. Would we go back? Maybe? If our grandkids really wanted to we probably would. Is the product a good value? Not a chance - fairly small water park and again, far, far too expensive for what you get. We've had much more fun in at least 4 other major water parks that were all much bigger and charged far less. Again - $350 for a season pass is saying 'we don't want to sell season passes'. read more

I give the slides here a 5 star for kids ages 4-8. After about 8, there probably aren't enough high thrill rides. Overall we really enjoy this place, the staff is friendly, and there are decent number of attractions for kids for a 3-4 hour visit. My big negatives, no showers I. The men's locker room, and the food options. Most of the food options are incredibly unhealthy, and it sucks if you want nutritious food for your children. read more

Their water is dirty. We went there and me and other family member got sick. Their water must be contaminated with human feces. While I didn't swallow water, I did get splashed (like anyone would) in the face from the water on the jungle gym and rides. Be very careful. Sadly, I have been going here for years and this time wasn't as good. The bucket is gone, the amount of rust all over was concerning. I get it, it is a water park but maintenance shouldn't lack in the excuse of chlorine. I've been to many water parks and rust wasn't as profound as it is here, if any. I have it two stars because it offers an all day drink for 20 (or 16) when combo meal is purchased. This wasn't an option last year. The only thing I found that needs change with this, is allow for reuse or refills if you come back. Very successful theme parks, and water parks do this. They're on the right track of buying the cup for that price, but they could promote sales via reduced refill rates at future dates of returning. I'm not saying it should be cheap. I would say charge a comparable fee of surrounding entertainment industries such as Busch Gardens for refills in the future of the purchase of their cups. Not only does that promote sales and stops people for bringing drinks and food like I saw all over, it also shows you have customer appreciation and would like their retention of people to come back. The park is quite expensive to go to. The only other thing was and I wish I took a picture that tomatoes, lettuce, and pickles were put out and left out all day. As somebody who worked in the food industry through service, I personally knew that that food was no good, and it was not kept properly at the temperatures required bylaw, and food safety standards. Their food is decent as they are a fast food joint for food because you're at a park, but you shouldn't neglect food safety. Like I said, I've been coming here for years and recently they've been expanding immensely . I feel as they're doing this. They're neglecting other aspects of this resort that should not be neglected no matter how small they should be. I would expect something like this at Six Flags water park in New Jersey or anywhere else, but not here. Besides that the splash grill bartender was a guy. He was really nice. It was clean. The menu was small and what you can get which means everything is decently cooked. They response time to you sitting down, ordering getting your drinks and food is all good and when you sit at the bar, the bartender even talks to you. Have been prior and had a great time. Wanted to take my 8 year old & buy a season pass for him but unfortunately I have been disabled from a car accident since 2017 and cannot go into water due to infection risk per doctors orders. I was told I would be charged a "spectator fee" everytime I tool my son if I bought him his season or annual pass. So I would be charged just to keep an eye on him as a disabled spectator that wouldn't be participating. I asked if there were any alternatives that could be done and the woman on the phone responded he wouldn't be allowed in as an alternative. Im shocked they choose to treat prior customers who are since disabled in this manner. read more

Absolutely not worth the extremely steep price if you have small children. All that there is to do for them are 3 water slides and a few other tiny ones, a lazy river ride, and some ropes to climb on. Extremely crowded as well. Lifeguards were nasty and rude, much like nearly everyone else who works here. There is a snack place to buy food but the line is long and moved very slowly. We actually brought our own, apparently we weren't supposed to (after reading some of these reviews) but no one stopped us. We ate outside without a problem. Oh, and be sure to bring your own towels, as they do not provide them. I'm sure it is more enjoyable if you're a party of adults, or you only have older kids, but with young ones, it's not worth the price tag. It's not even that big. This was my first time at a water park and I'm an adult. I was kinda nervous about it! But my partner and I had fun. The price was really steep for the day and I would recommend that you make a full day out of the experience. If you have a family, consider renting a cabana while your kiddos splish splash on the rides. I enjoyed the lazy river, the wave pool, and even some of the large scary slides! I refused to go down any slides that had full tubes around me because I get claustrophobic. The rides were safe and monitored by what looked like high school lifeguards. Don't be afraid to ask them questions regarding your form. You don't want to injure yourself and they will absolutely not tell you how to do any things!! So ask your questions. (There was also an arcade, a snack area inside and outside, a candy shop and a gift shop to purchase overpriced souvenirs.) I would recommend saving your money and putting it all towards the ride. This place was so fun to visit. We enjoyed the Waterpark and hanging out at the multiple playgrounds. I think we needed more than a weekend to enjoy everything. They have skiing in the winter too including lifts and the like. The only downside was that the representatives can be a bit pushy about promotions and the on-site restaurants are pricey! read more

It is a small water park on the Massanutten resort. You don't have to stay on the resort for access, it is open to everyone. Things that I like about the water park: - the temperature is kept very warm inside the park. Therefore, no worry of feeling cold after soaking in the water even during the winter time - it is not overly crowded - there are various options for toddlers and older kids - parking is free Things that I do not like about the water park: - price is too high for what it is - locker costs extra - no towels available as you would have to bring your own - lazy River goes so fast and it is not relaxing at all - not much food options - water temperature varies by the amenities. This place is fun not just for the kids, but adults as well. I have come here a few times over the past 10 years. They are always adding new attractions or making updates to the park. I suggest getting your moneys worth. Get there when they open and leave about 20 minutes before they close. There are both indoor and outdoor attractions. Slides, tubes, lazy river, pool basketball, hot tubs and more. There are a few attractions for smaller kids but not that many. If you don't like water, you can rent a cabana outside for the day and relax. There is a snack bar that serves alcohol as well. They are a little pricey so I would suggest bringing some drinks and sandwiches or snacks. Wheelchair and handicap accessible. Small gift shop on the top floor. The water Park is nice, but the Arcade is a total rip off. My granddaughters Grandmom got 2 30 dollar play all day cards. Wish they were told they would not receive any tickets. Highly recommend MIW to Great Wolf (although my kids did enjoy it there my wallet enjoys Massanutten more!). The park itself, the snack bar, and the arcade upstairs. My only criticism is maybe offer more/better seating (also maybe limit ticket sales during this pandemonium!!), and refurbish the bathrooms/family suites bc ew it's 2022, we all deserve better facilities by now yea? Overall, a fun water park, but there's some things people need to know. 1. Bring a beach towel 2. Get there early. Be the first one there. Youll need to lay claim to chairs or tables, which are claimed within the first 30 min. Lines get crazy long for the entrance and the water slides. Be one of the first through the door and you'll be able to ride the biggest outdoor slides a few times before lines start getting long. Hour long waits for 1 slide are not uncommon. 4. Eat early. Outside food is not allowed, so if you get hungry, you must eat there. Again, 2 hour long waits for food isn't uncommon. 5. Plan your day. This isn't a place to come on a whim. Plan your day. This water park in Massanutten is a fantastic addition to Massanutten's Resort property. This water park is always a must when we visit! To be honest, I really liked Massanutten prior to the water park, but now that it's here... I can't imagine vacation without it! It has so many things for everyone in the family to do from the youngest to the oldest! They have a kids park, lazy river, rides, all types of games and sports you can do in the park, and the park is indoors and out! To make things even easier they have lockers, on-site Cafe, as well as a restaurant upstairs and a store to buy retail items you may have forgotten. Visiting the waterpark at Massanutten is definitely an all-day Adventure, but if you choose to lessen your hours here... You can come in and do the Twilight savings when you come at 5 p.m., stay to close, it only pay a portion of the price (less than 30 bucks). read more

We showed up at the park, everything was amazing, and the slides were enjoyable for my family. My family consists of 3 adults, one 11-year-old, and a 3-year-old. There's a child-friendly part and another part mostly for children older. Everything was fine for awhile until we go to our chairs for some snacks... and there was a ROACH! This was such a fun experience, the water park was a blast. I liked the indoor red slide the most but the outdoor rainbow slide was definitely second. A large sign read "Sold Out" as we walked in with our long pre-reserved tickets on a rainy day, yet passes were still being sold at the front desk. No surprise then that the park was completely over-crowded. Not a chair to be found so had to cough up the $30 for a locker rental to secure a bunch of towels. Soon after getting wet and blue-lipped, the pool had to be evacuated. You can guess why. Pros: Friendly and polite lifeguards doing their jobs well. Clean bathrooms. A raucous and fun so-called lazy river. Some fun slides. Cons: Blatant profit seeking operation, they'll take whatever they can get: your ticket fee to a fairly small waterpark, your PII with a fake raffle, your $30 for a locker to park your towels after they played musical chairs with the other spots. Even with the proof of itinerary they said it was for 7 p.m. My family was inconvenienced for the whole day! I called and emailed after I found out what had happened. They never got back to me. Expect little from this place if you are an adult. There are no chairs to sit or a space to leave your belongings. There are lockers that you can rent, but they are small and bags don't fit in them. The line for their restaurant took 40 minutes. Food was fine. Bathrooms: There are only two showers and they are not private. I am currently waiting's for my kids to finally be tired so I can go ( they are having fun) & jacuzzi is broken so is more like a small Warner kid pool. read more

Visited in March 2021, so indoor only. Great water park. Enough slides to keep it interesting and the ever-popular dumping buckets and lazy river. Plus no extra fee for flowrider, just a longer line. Decent food with fairly low prices for an amusement park. Lines for everything even the lazy river. COVID REVIEW- don't go here if you're expecting/insist on social distancing. The signs encourage 10 feet but it is not enforced at all or even marked in common waiting areas (which would be really hard given the wet surfaces). Distancing not practical at best and not even possible at worst. I would not even consider going during covid with a little kid, the one open kiddie pool looked terribly crowded and to me not worth the risk. The seating area is actually a bit distanced which is nice. Lines were still a thing... I don't know how this compares to nominal times since this was my first visit. Visits are limited to 4 hours during covid so make sure you show up before opening to get your wristband. They will open the doors right at the start time, and you have to wait outside so you may want to dress a little warmer than you would if you weren't expecting an outdoor wait. Some attractions are CLOSED during covid which is noted on their website - one of the shallow pools and all hot tubs were closed. This is a good social distancing measure as people are on top of each other in a hot tub, but even with the reduced capacity, closing some features means that everything else is busier. My kids had a blast, I had a great time. Overall can't wait to go back when the outdoor park is open and we don't have to be nervous about COVID, but wondering about how bad the lines will be. read more

This place is a complete dump. My kid got stuck in a tub and we were freaking out because we couldn't find her. When they finally got her out of the tube she had skinned knees and her shoulder, arm, wrist was red and bruised. I told an employee who was of no help. We got dressed and left. On our way out I asked for an ice pack to be told that there is a first aid inside. No one could just go and get us an ice pack? No one inside could help us or tell us that there was a first aid area? We paid $200. and had to leave right away, they don't provide towels, but they sell cheap crappy towels for $20. We went to the park two days in a row in mid November. Both days the water was SO COLD we couldn't even enjoy it. Most people- kids, men, women- were walking around shivering, hugging themselves. We spent majority of the time in the Hot Springs which was over populated due to the rest being so cold. There was also awful cold draft. Once you get to women's changing room it only get colder- right by the showers there's a huge fan blowing coldest air for people exiting the showers. Ugh. Due to inclement weather the outside was closed. The hot tub was also broken down. There's also a second floor for arcades though.
