We purchased tint for our 2014 Civic LX and can't say nothing but good stuff about Sun Dimmers. We've had our tint since 2019 and it's holding up well. I had no idea which tint shop did our tint until I got a new car recently with no tint. The prices are affordable, too for the quality of tint and their awesome customer service. The application was flawless and the best feature - NO FADE at all, no bubbles and it's kept the car cooler for the last SEVEN years. On our other vehicle, which was done by some other vendor in North Hollywood, NOT Sun Dimmers, only to see the horribly cut trim, peeling and massive fade. Our limo black tint with that other vendor, ended up brown within two years. With Sun Dimmers, they have quality tint and also provide excellent customer service. Had I known it was Sun Dimners that did our Civic LX, I would've written a review a long time ago! The hubby bought me a 2019 Civic Sport hatchback and I can't wait to bring her in so she can look just a good as the LX! When I called them, I was greeted with a smile and wonderful attitude. The dude on the other end was awesome, knowledgeable, and clear about the process so I can figure out how and when to schedule for my tint job. You can walk-in but there's no way in my schedule to get in right when they open and squeeze the time in. I will make an appointment so I can drop her off in the morning and pick her up later that day or the next day (depends on their schedule) since I live out in Burbank. I've been coming here with all my cars as the quality is great at this location. The last time I brought my car in was back in 2019 I had all the windows done and also had them look up what I had on previous cars to get the same tint. Since then the tint has held up until recently when I noticed the spread of bubbles in the back window starting to cause issues for me to see out. I walked in and spoke with Sam about my warranty and was able to make an appt the following week to drop the car off. I came in early around 830 and was able to pickup my car by 430 (turn around time same day). Great customer service, with attention to detail. **note they no longer have a receptionist, you have to call someone to come up front to help you out. read more

I have had 4 cars tinted here and they have always done a great job at a fair price. I was looking to get a 5th car done and submitted a request for quote through Yelp which said most are answered within 24 hours. I followed up, again through Yelp, 2 or 3 times and never heard back. They finally responded over three weeks after I had submitted my first request and all my subsequent requests went ignored. I guess they didn't need my business, and I had already got the work done with a company that was more responsive. They are a good company that does good work but if you want any information from them I guess don't go through Yelp and call directly. read more

I am a returning customer of Sun Dimmers, with no past problems. Most recently I had three different vehicles done with them. Including window tint, PPF with ceramic coating and just a simple sun strip. They have treated each service they provided like an important job to them. They stand by their product by offering follow up appointments for the PPF to ensure that everything is settling right, and they provide you with manufacturer warranty for their tints. Sam remained patient with me answering all my questions before, during and after. He even updated me throughout and continues to answer any question I may have about it. I've brought my last 3 cars here and didn't have any issues with them until recently. Brought my new car over to them and decided to go ceramic this time around (first time ever) and opted to tint the entire car (including the windshield). I made an appointment and brought the car in early morning and picked it up on the same day late afternoon. I drove the car home and all seemed good! The next morning as I was driving to work I noticed a line on the front windshield, looked like a piece of lint or something got caught in between the tint and windshield. I ended up bringing the car back to them and they apologized and ended up redoing the windshield tint for me. Picked up the car, drove back home and all seemed good. The next morning I noticed another line or defect in the windshield tint right in my line of sight, and at the same time also noticed bubbling on the passenger side window. I brought the car back to them again, and they confirmed the windshield tint had a defect in it, so they redid the windshield AGAIN and also redid the passenger side window for me. Finally they got it right, and everything is now perfect. Reason for 4 stars is the inconvenience of me having to bring the car back in multiple times... but I'm happy they were able to make it right and didn't make me feel bad bringing the car back to them... they saw what I saw and acknowledged the issue each time. read more

So I called an hour after the shop opened to see if they could squeeze me in and without hesitation he said bring it on in and we'll get her done for you! I brought it in 40 minutes later we went over all the different types of options and I decided to go with the ceramic grade. Walked over and had some breakfast at Saugus Café, and after about an hour and 10 minutes my wife's brand new car looking sweet!! I have done several cars at this company over the years. I will not again. They put sun coating on the inside of my windshield ( a brand new replacement windshield). After this was applied it had lots of bubbles in it and dust spots. The owner said he would redue this. I waited outside while they were doing it. I overheard the owner talking to a worker saying "I will redue it but will not honor the warantee". I said loudly "I can hear you". He then said I will just give you a refund. I was taken upstairs to the front where the owner told me he had a customer sit in my car and thar they didn't think it was that bad. I told him you can't have other customers sit in my car. He told me "your supposed to look thru the bubbles" and "your just too picky". He did finally gave me a check written in a colored pen not black or blue. I have done expensive search on tint and PPF with multiple shops in SCV, but I took a faith with Sam H (owner). Boy ! it paid off perfectly!!!For Tesla customers, I strongly recommend to tint all 9 piece of glasses due to extreme heat in SCV. UV block , heat rejection and anti-glare property are the main reason for tint , not just the aesthetics. He uses industry leading "formula one LLUmar films for tint and STEK for full frontal PPF. You get what you pay for. His craftsmanship is flawless when it comes to installation of both tint and PPF. He even suggest to come back after one week to make sure installation is done correctly (specially PPF). I've been a retail pharmacist in SCV for 25 years. I took my car in to have the tint replaced because it was peeling. I dropped it off early in the day and returned in the afternoon, only to find my car wasn't parked out front. I had to navigate through the shop to find it in the back. The customer service has definitely declined since my last visit. When I got in my car, there was tint scrap everywhere, and I had to clean it up myself. If you're looking for a tint job with decent customer service, I recommend going elsewhere. read more
