I explained and she said ," you can get a quote off our website ", to which I replied, I was driving by and decided to stop and ask in person. The tosses a note pad at me and says, write down your info and we'll call you. I'm busy with customers. My response was - " what am I?" She replied- " They paid money already!" Repeat customers here. We were satisfied with the last vehicle they did so we wanted to support this small business again. Went in to get tint done on another vehicle. Asked for 3m crystalline over the phone and made an appointment after being told they could do it. After arriving, husband was told they were going to put something else on (some off brand, but they were still going to charge the 3m price) so husband asked for the 3m, since that's what they said they were going to use. He was told they are discontinuing it. Sus how no one informed us of that over the phone. The detailer then told husband to go somewhere else if he didn't like it. So we did. Good way to lose business. Note to anyone who wants 3m brand tint: beware. We were told that they are discontinuing it here. Ask questions before spending your hard earned money and getting work done. BRING CASH To avoid extra fees. Brought my ioniq 5 to tint 2 front windows (back windows are already dark). They had a $20 off coupon so my total bill was just $130. Really great deal for a ceramic tint. Tipped the guys of course. Found some tiny bubbles on the driver side window so I returned it. They checked and offered to replace at no charge. I decided to get the front windshield done (might as well). Why would I do that, well, besides the bubbles, they did a pretty good job the last time (didn't scratch my car or burn any of the platistic moldings). They even upgraded the tint for the front windshield. There are still some imperfections but will check again in a few days once the tint has dried. read more

I was referred here by a friend, coming from SFV I gave it a try since they have a loaner as advertised and as I was told by my friend. I got my appointment confirmed thru text, this is today, but when I arrived, I wasn't in the system accdg to Nadia, but later she confirmed after I told her about the text, still not in the system though. The location was hard to locate btw. I had to drive around 4 stoplights, drive slowly to locate the entrance. Maybe in the future, provide a text confirmation at least 2 hours prior to appointment, provide special instructions on how to locate the place and make sure you have a loaner as you proudly advertise. read more

This was my second vehicle tinted by Autoskinz, with another great result. I enjoy dealing with a PRO shop when it comes to our vehicles, and little details make big differences between shops. I phoned the business to check up on whether or not they were open during the COVID-19 stuff, and Kelly answered the phone. She set me up for a morning appointment on a Saturday to have all five windows tinted on my 2019 Challenger. This was followed up with a text message reminding me of the appointment and also giving me options on what to do if I had to cancel. I received one more reminder on the day before the drop-off. Once I got there, it took ten minutes or so to decide on the brand and shade of tint and I was on my way. A few hours later I received a text message to let me know my car was done. I was running some errands with my wife and didn't head down for at least an hour, and at that time I received a phone call from Kelly, letting me know the car was done. We arrived to pick up the car and paid for the work. Kelly went over some care instructions, and I took off. The car looked great, and there were no signs at anyone had worked on the car. No runs or drips on the doors or upholstery that would indicate that window tinting went on inside. I don't know if they use protective covers or just do a good clean up, but you won't know they were there, other than the change in your windows. Kelly emailed my sales receipt, signed me up for the factory warranty and emailed that to me as well. The shop is very clean and professional, and their work is outstanding. While the glass shattered, it remained securely in the frame due to the special sealing caulk they use--something that sets this company apart from others. Many installers use protective film, but without this unique caulking, the glass can easily fall out. The robbers eventually gave up because of the time it took to break the glass and the security alarm going off. To potential customers: Believe the bad reviews. I didn't, but I wish I did. tl;dr: they wouldn't honor the pricing I received when I set up my appointment, causing me to show up and waste a bunch of time, ultimately leaving without getting the tint work. To Greg: As mentioned in my prior review 9 years ago (when you guys barely had any reviews and why I felt compelled to leave one at the time), your shop used to be great... Hire better help, maybe. Your assistant/manager/whatever, Karen... oops I mean Kelly, needs to go. Here's what happened: I requested a price quote via the Yelp system for tinting my wife's model 3. After receiving the initial reply with quote, I mentioned that my friend with a Y also got a quote at the same time, and I asked why his was $100 cheaper. She explained it was because the model 3 has a larger rear-window/rear-roof section (1 piece) vs the Y's 2-piece rear window / rear roof design. That made sense, so I accepted that and moved on in the conversation. This is relevant later. After I got more information including whether there were any different tint options besides the ceramic XPEL black film, how much would it cost to do the Windshield, etc., I scheduled the appointment (screenshot #1). We arrived at the shop at the exact time of our appointment. No one was in the lobby for a few minutes. I sent a message to the chat informing that I arrived. Eventually Manny, an installer, entered and I told him my name and that I had an appointment. He looked it up on his tablet, confirmed that it was for a model 3 (relevant later), and asked what tint levels we wanted. I gave him the % tints we wanted and also told him we didn't want to do the "moonroof" (the piece of roof glass that's right over the driver/front passenger seat). He understood this, saying something to the effect of "yeah that part's already kinda dark". He then texted me a link to a site that showed my project, the tint levels we just picked, and prices (screenshots 2-3). I told Manny this didn't match what Kelly previously told me over Yelp: I showed him the written conversation I had with Kelly where she told me the price, and scope of the work for that price. According to her message shown in the screenshot, the price Without the moon roof would be $590, and the screenshot of their workorder clearly shows "except sunroof" in line item 1. He went to the back, and came back a minute or two later telling me he called Kelly and is updating it. He sent another link, but it was still wrong by $100. He went to the back again, and then came back out saying that Kelly claims that the price she gave me was actually for the model Y, which is cheaper. Uh... no. As you can see in the screenshot, the messages we had directly before I confirmed the price & appointment time consisted of me asking if they also carried carbon tint, and she stated they don't offer that *for the model 3*... And my project was clearly for a model 3 since it was already in the system on his tablet the moment he received us at the start of the appointment. So next, Manny asked to have my phone so he could take photos of the chat to presumably send to kelly (not sure why she was unable to just pull up our yelp conversation, like I could). After a while he eventually goes to the back again for a 3rd time to call her. When he comes back he's basically telling me there's nothing he can do, and that now she's going to call me. While Manny and I are still in a conversation, I miss her call to my phone. Shortly after, she calls him on his cell again. He answers and puts her on speaker and holds it towards me. I say "Hello?" and not realizing she's on speaker she immediately launches off into a rant..... to Manny: "Ok look I called him and he wouldn't answer. If he's going to play these games, then... (blah blah blah) ". He tried getting a word in to tell her that I'm right here, but she wouldn't let up. Looking defeated he took it off speaker and put it to his ear while she ranted to him some more stuff that I couldn't hear. Sorry man... we could tell you were tired of her s***... You didn't do anything wrong and I know you didn't have any power over the situation. We ended up leaving after that. I'm not sure if she thought she could just extort the extra money out of me, or if she genuinely thought in her mind that I was the one trying to be shady and get a last minute discount. Or maybe she made a mistake in the chat and gave me the wrong price... but if that was the case, then own up to it and honor the price you gave me right before I booked the appointment. Instead, you act unprofessional and lose out on my $590 worth of business, and any future business / recommendations to people, because you want to be petty over $100. read more

On July 29, 2020, I had my side and rear windows in my 2013 Kia Optima covered with Global Window Films installed by Autoskinz at 27525 Newhall Ranch Rd. #9, Valencia, CA 91355. They did a wonderful job and I've never had a problem with the film, unlike the window film I had on my previous Ford Escort which was horrible and the installer would not do anything. I did notice a slight chip on the very top of the driver's side window film. I went to the store and was surprised that Kelly told me it was under warranty and that they would get the job done. After buying my Tesla, I looked all over for a company that could take it from a cool but kind of blah car to something exceptional. I spoke with several companies and got quotes from 2 that got good reviews. But ultimately, I went with Greg, Kelly, and the rest of the team at Autoskinz because they were professional, used quality products, and had a clean and well-equipped facility. They did not disappoint. Work completed: - Arranged for a Tesla-certified shop they work with to dismantle, paint, and reassemble the automatic chrome door handles to match the original body color. - Full stealth XPEL paint protection film on all painted surfaces - Satin black chrome delete - 3M Crystalline window tint - Beadlock ceramic coating on the entire car, including the wheels - Signature wheels (that look like they cost 3x what I paid) - Plus, a loaner car. I could not be happier with the outcome, the service, or the price. My project was pretty involved, and it did not always make sense to drive back home only to come back a few hours later. I had plenty of opportunities while sitting in the waiting area to get a sense of how the team dealt with all sorts of customers. With any service business, there are good customers, and there are "challenging" customers. I say this because when the vast majority of customers leave positive reviews, it makes you wonder about the negative ones. In my experience, most people are reasonable. Still, there are a few who are unreasonable, cannot be satisfied, and are not above taking advantage of others. Unfortunately, these are the ones who tend to be the loudest.
