I was banned from this location for no reason what so ever yesterday 4/9/26 ..i haven't been to…read moreNorthshore in months..but here's the story..I left a review several months ago regarding homeless people hanging out and it smelling of marijuana..makes me nervous going there alone..so I went to East Ridge facility..yesterday I was banned from there AND the Northshore gym..ran by the same people..because they told me I couldn't tan or bring my husband as a guest ..I didn't know since we've been going a year..apparently I had a basic plan..they were rude and told me I'd have to go to Hixson to do that since they aren't really a part of the Home office of with Workout Anytime 24/7 ..I didn't know so we left..then banned! For no reason but for leaving a honest review about a nasty unsafe gym that needs better management! The one in Hixson is the real deal..the better place to workout..don't waste your time or offend these guys or you'll be banned as well. Their mngt left comments I was banned on my review but never explained why.

This particular location is conveniently located with plenty of parking. It is clean and attractive, the hours are accommodating, and the equipment seems to be well taken care of. Bonus: next to a TJ Maxx. I was most impressed by a young lady that assisted me late one evening. She was professional and courteous and void of the attitude that one sometimes encounters at tanning salons. She has the potential for a great future in the hospitality biz, but I believe that she is studying to be a teacher. Bravo!

I was really excited to visit Glo Tanning Salon in Hixson because my sister previously had a…read moremembership and always spoke very highly of it. When I saw a free spray tan coupon, I was genuinely looking forward to trying it out. The experience started off great. I took a full tour of the salon, which was clean and impressive, and the associate was very kind and helpful at first. She was a little behind on cleaning beds, but I didn't mind waiting at all and was very patient. She explained different services, memberships, and products, but I clearly stated that this visit I did not want to purchase anything. I also explained that I don't live nearby and was only in town because my city is currently experiencing a severe ice storm and we have no power or water at home. After that, the interaction became uncomfortable. When I said I didn't want to buy anything, I was repeatedly asked "why," which put me in an awkward position of having to justify my decision multiple times. I simply didn't want to invest in memberships or products for a location I don't live near. I had already completed the required form that morning and came in specifically to use the spray tan coupon. After all the touring and discussions, when I presented the coupon, I was told it wasn't working and that it must be because I'm not local to Chattanooga. I explained that the fine print only states the coupon must be used within the same state, which I am, as I live in Tennessee, and that there is no mention of needing to reside in the same city. I asked if the coupon could be honored since this restriction wasn't disclosed, and I also politely asked if there was someone else she could check with. I was told the manager had already been asked, though I was standing at the counter the entire time and no calls were made. The request was immediately shut down. I left feeling disappointed, especially because I truly would have loved to try the spray tanning service and likely would have returned to purchase additional spray tans when visiting family in the Chattanooga area. The salon itself is very nice, but I hope future guests, especially visitors, are met with clearer communication and less pressure.

Thank God she never called!!! The girl who applied the tan did an amazing job however the tan lasted 2 days !!!! Are u kidding me???? I stopped by the shop to speak with the owner. She wasn't there. The girl who did my spray tan offered to re do for free I said no thanks. I asked for the owner to call me. She did not. I strongly do not recommend this place. I love that they use the stick on shoes so you don't get that nasty bottom of the foot tan from left over residue - all products are professional, clean, and I was really satisfied with all the amenities. Prices are fair for services and products and they offer student discounts They use infinity sun sunless tanning products and it smells SO good! My tan didn't come off in chunks like usual -- great surprise. Stayed on for about a week, maybe longer before it even began to fade before it even began to come off! When it did, the tan Came off easily and Didn't dry out my skin The tone of the spray was great with my skin tone and I was really happy with the results - it looked really natural. Everyone has highly recommended Sophia and now I totally understand why- this is my new go to for sunless tanning in Chattanooga!
