OMG!! I checked in for a,spray tan. 1 person ahead of me. 3 Young ladies at the counter, talking amongst themselves. I girl recognizes a customer,, calls out "Erin F'n ... !!! look at you all professional " and she used the words very loud!@ Erin got in before me. I've been waiting over 20 minutes and people have gone before me!! plus I got to hear the same worker calling another girlfriend an F'N Ho fo real!!..... " I walked to room 17, finally saw it being cleaned after all the employee chatter. I asked if I was next and was told no...I went to the front, asked the foul mouth girl in the Marquette sweatshirt what was going on, I've been waiting now over a half hour!! she blamed it on the new girl in training who was not being trained... I finally get the spray tan and dont even get a towel... ANGRY this public language by a person that is training another; this made me late to my dinner appointment.. This is UNACCEPTABLE!!! It turns out that the girl in the Marquette shirt deleted my arrival time and entered me as if I just came in. I addressed Corporate to file a complaint!! they found the names of the one with the foul mouth and Erin. I was offered a free spray tan and deepest apologies. but it got worse. Erin contacted me through YELP, insulted me and told me I'd never be allowed back in any of the stores. I explained that she was not there for all the cursing. She told me that we are in a facility that's all adults and I need to get over it. The other girl posted as well. I try contacting YELP but there is no Customer Service Complaint Dept. I called back Sun TAN City Corporate , told her what these girls did on my yelp account; and that Erin deleted her insulting "Compliment " This is far from over for these 2 unprofessionals!!! My collection of photos I've taken from my last 4 visits to this location. You'd think with COVID happening, that there would be higher expectations for cleaning standards. Not sure what's going on but over the last couple months things have gone downhill with sanitation. I like to tan after work and nothing is worse than trying to relax after a long day and crawling onto a bed with smudges and lotion from the previous guest. Things aren't wiped down properly if at all. I'd really like to keep tanning here, but the rooms deserve to be sterile for every guest. read more

I'm all over Milwaukee sometimes so I go tan where I can...Sun Tan City is awesome. On 27th St across from Kohl's, staff is patient and nice, plenty of beds to choose from, spray tan etc. Reasonably priced for the perfect quality! Keeps me sun-kissed just right!! I would have given 5but where I'm from they have like wet wipes n spray deodorant in case yknow on the way to work n what not. But I've a way around that now. Carry my own. And yea I still drive 20 min to go there lol read more

First time here with my boyfriend and the two women (whose names I'm mad at myself for not getting) were SO incredibly helpful and awesome on a crappy, snowy Wisconsin Sunday. I decided instantly that this will be my go-to tanning place from here on out. I'm a tanning aficionado and I have to say that these two women not only explained everything perfectly, they gave us 100% personal service and we're warm and sweet without killing me with over-selling. I purchased what they recommended because I believed they meant everything they were saying about the product. Thank you to these two women. I've been coming to this location for a couple years. Up until the last couple months I would have said the service was fantastic. The girls up front were always friendly, helpful, willing to answer all my questions, and ease all my concerns. These are statements I can no longer make based on my last couple visits, but the service used to be so good that I want to believe that maybe I've just had bad luck lately. Recently, it's like I've managed to get all the new staff who haven't completed customer service training where they would hopefully tell you to listen to the customers, explain things to them without condescension and without the use of the word "policy", and be kinder than necessary. The facility is always clean and bright. The beds are good and they offer a number of tanning levels, including sunless. They categorize their levels as Fast, Faster, Fastest, and Instant and the pricing reflects the implied speed of tanning. They do have stand up beds as well. I've never had to wait for a bed. They also have the requisite wall of tanning lotions up front to peddle at you, but they aren't nearly as pushy as other places. I will say that of the dozens of tanning places I've patronized in my life (yes, I know tanning is bad for you, just hush about it), and despite the recent lack of customer service, this is one of the better tanning salons I've been to. read more

I am a real fan of Sun Tan City. I wasn't too knowledgeable in tanning and they made it easy. I only pay $14.99 a month for unlimited tanning (on the cheaper beds) $10 to join seemed reasonable as well. I tan easily, so I didnt need the more expensive beds. They also have a very nice APP where you can check in online and reserve a spot so you do not have to wait when you arrive. The staff is always very very friendly and helpful. I would def recommend Sun Tan City. read more

I've been a member for about a year and recently started going a little bit more do to upcoming events. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Salon and beds are clean and not cluttered of unnecessary items. Easy to get walk in appointments Also great products from nail polish to bronzers. read more

Not only do they not have updated machinery. Their staff is rude, and they are in such a rush to get out of the store they turn everything off before closing time and act like it's your fault for coming during their hours of operation. It's very unprofessional. read more

Don't worry, yelpers! I came here for a spray tan. Wedding shower in February means I need some help at Sun Tan City. This place was super clean with good customer service. They found me a great deal for the services I need in the upcoming months. Alex and Rachel answered all of my questions and were so kind in introducing me to the world of spray tan. I have been tanning at this location on and off for ten years. I've always had a great experience especially with the staff. They have always been friendly, helpful, and accommodating. I bought a package this week to help get a base tan for summer. The staff have been visibly annoyed, rude, and less than helpful. This business should be banned. The manager treated me like I was an incoherent consumer that had no common sense. I said due to Covid I want to cancel. She actually said you can't because you signed a contract. I said I signed a contract before a pandemic. Now my gym Westwood 100% professional. It took one minute to cancel my membership. The manager sniped call this number. I called the number. The recording said go to the store. Hmmm... So my logic processing had reached its limit. The next day I guide my way to top level management they told me we canceled your membership yesterday. So I'm grateful for that. The incompetence of the process was evident. To rate it I would not give it a 1 if I could. I advise my community to support a different franchise. I realize franchises are are struggling but the ones that are surviving are ethical and honest about it. This is not an ethical company. I hope it's driven out of the area. Woow. So the girl who helped me with my free spray tan that I got with this weeks offer was extremely rude and since I said no to buying a primer because I have my own she caught an attitude quick. Not only that. She didn't even tell me what to do. I had to read and figure it out myself and idk if I even did anything right. No nose plugs, I got no hair net, nothing. Then as soon as the spray begins it blasts the COLDEST liquid abruptly. I mean freezing. So much so that I literally fell out of the spray tan machine to catch my breath which I still couldn't do because then I got spray tan in my lungs from breathing it in. I was coughing loudly and hacking. and trying to catch my breath and no one knocked to see if I was ok. Worst experience of my life. I left with an ugly uneven tan. A worker asked how'd it go? I said not good. She says oh sorry have a good night. Would not recommend. read more

Love the girls here by far Cassie is my girl and she will always make sure you get what your looking for. They explain things very very well and have personal recommendations for products. I will always keep my package with them and this location particularly. Bulbs are great in every bed, place is spotless and bright and lots of space. Versa Spray Booth is amazing! Absolutely every girl in there lemme name as many names here as I can, Caity, Alyssa, Meghan, and everyone else, these are just generally who I see, are FAB U LOUS. It's so clean I would eat off the floor, not really, but u get the idea. I HAD to go on here to make a Yelp profile, because the staff u have is absolutely amazing genuinely friendly, concerned, honest, and it makes me enjoy spending my money there, because they sell with an actual knowledge and aren't pushy, they know what's up. I can't say enough positive things. Caity is great too, very management material, well versed on products, answers my annoying mundane questions with complete knowledge and patience (they all do, I ask a lot of questions) professional, friendly, I can't believe life existed before I was a member lol, jk. The receptionist or "tanning consultant" as she later described herself was visibly annoyed that I asked to do one session after I politely denied her request to do a spray tan instead. She mumbled that she was going to put me in the bed for 8 minutes and I didn't understand her so when I saw the timer was only 8 minutes I came back out and asked her to do the full 20. She immediately got worked up when I was calm the whole time and said she would not let me go for 20 minutes even after I said that I recently went tanning outside. She dismissed what I said and called it a "different experience" and would not let me go for more than 8. So anyway I got a refund, went to my old salon, and the women who worked there said of course I can go the full time and we all agreed that it should be my choice and that this woman was ridiculous. If I was incredibly pale and she was genuinely worried about me burning it would have been different, but she was just pretentious and rude the entire time. Not a good experience. read more
