I just can't express enough how much it's worth to come in and tan even for a little bit or your first time or if you have any questions these girls will make sure they answer them and make sure you're comfortable and you're getting the services that you want! It's not often these days that customer service is excellent, so for them to always be so accommodating even if I'm there right before they're about to close.... thank you team WC at suntancity ! During my best friends wedding preparations I had Got everything else done except tanning. So it's two days before the wedding and That's not enough time to get a good base tan but the girls guided me and I turned out with a beautiful tan! The place is dirty even when it's empty and the staff aren't doing anything. Is it that hard to clean up? The bed felt slimy, and they limited the amount of time I could spend in it because they changed the bulbs. They overcharge for eyewear, something that should cost $1 tops and that's with them still making a profit instead costs almost $6. Insane. Overpriced. This place is the worst tanning salon I have been to in awhile. The workers are rude, and do not bother to help, while trying to be helpful, they came off as very rude and condescending. The spray tan booth itself was not clean, and the solution came out very patchy when it did come out- like it was running out of the tan solution. When asking for a refund for my awful, patchy tan I was told I had to pay for the service I received even when I was unsatisfied. The employees continued to be passive towards my friends and I while working at the desk. The associates are stuck up and down right rude, laughing at customers from behind the desk is never okay especially when your working for a company that promotes feeling better in your skin. My spray tan was overpriced, and ugly with the excessive patchiness and lack of solution for half my body. This is the worst tanning salon ever! The uneven spray tans made the experience bad in general but the workers made the experience so much worse. The lack of politeness and general kindness is the disgusting in this establishment. DO NOT come to this salon for any reason other than being harassed and ridiculed from afar and uneven tans. read more

I tan at Sun Tan City at least 4 times a week, and I constantly maintain a gorgeous bronze glow. Thanks to the amazing service provided by Carlina, I always have a great tanning experience. Being greeted by her smiling face and sparkling personality always makes me feel right at home. She is extremely knowledgeable of all the equipment and retail lotions. I usually prefer to use a bronzer lotion, but today I asked Carlina about the new Spice tingle lotion. I purchased a packed based on her recommendation, and I am beyond impressed with my tanning results. I achieved a deep golden tan (not to mention the lotion smelled fantastic) and I will definitely be using it again. Thanks to Carlina and all of her knowledge of product, I am very satisfied with my visit to Sun Tan City. She is hands down an all-star employee and goes above and beyond for her clients. My roommates and I have been going to Sun Tan City for the past year and a half now and every time each of us has gone the same manager (ashley) was very rude to us. We just reached our breaking point just recently as she was very pushy for us to buy something, and her only motive was to make a sale off of us. One of my roommates was talking to a different employee and Ashley had no problem jumping in very rudely trying to get money off of her. Another girl was a first timer and she made her feel very uncomfortable as she pushed different products on her insisting that she "had to buy them" when she didn't want too. We have gone to other tanning salons and have never experienced this type of treatment from employees, and considering she is a manager we expected more. read more

NEVER GO HERE!!! RUDE AND TERRIBLE TANS!!! This is the worst tanning place I have ever been to. The workers are unable to get off their high horses and don't bother to try and even pretend to be nice. It was my friends first spray tan, so even though I was unsure if it was allowed, no one was around for me to ask if I can go back. I went back with my very nervous friend just to rudely get yelled at after I LEFT the room. I was told it was rude, loud, and disruptive. Not only are the workers terrible, my tan is atrocious. It is so uneven, the workers don't tell you how to do or work anything, and the machine broke down while I was in the booth. Charged me for two months after I ended my membership even though I hadn't stepped foot in the place for three months. I was ok being charged for one of those months because I hadn't canceled it (because I didn't realize it would auto renew, no one told me that when I signed up). But it has taken three tries to cancel. Trying for the second time to get my money back. Be careful when canceling membership, double check before they continue to tell you it's canceled and charge you again. Or better yet never start one, I wish I hadn't. read more

Very disappointed. My friends and I went in for a spray tan and when we first walked in the worker was ORANGE. So that was very discouraging considering I was going in for a spray tan. Then, we had free spray tans as first time consumers and they told us we needed a code but the email did not have a code so they said we were unable to use it. Then they called their manager to ask what to do and the manager said we could still receive free spray tans but than proceeded to tell us we needed to buy a lotion otherwise the spray tan will wash off the next day. They continued to push products to make some money. They were very disrespectful to us. I do not recommend coming here. read more

I have been a member at sun tan city for a while now, but there's something about the place I need to get off my chest. I am in love with the tans I get from there, along with the environment it is super clean and overall a welcoming place. There is unfortunately one staff member whom is ruining my experience. I believe this employee is the manager, and anytime I come she bombards be with trying to sell lotion or anything like that. I understand she is doing her job, but it is at the point where she is not selling, but FORCING me to buy lotion even if I have it. It's actually crazy, and makes me uncomfortable. Like I said, I love sun tan city and all of the other staff members, but thus particular manager really ruins the experience, and she truly needs to lay off the lotion selling. read more

Been spray tanning here for about 5 months now so I decided to update my review. Never had a problem. The staff is always friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. They go out of their way to recommend products that will help your spray last. They will work with you to help you get the possible deal for your money. Love my unlimited spray tanning. I'm shocked to see bad reviews because I've never had a bad experience. Sometimes there can be a little bit of a wait at popular hours. Personally, I've noticed lunchtime can be crowded, the weekends, and evenings during the week. It also can get really busy during free spray tanning weeks and free sun bed weeks. I would just skip these weeks. Unless you have a lot of time on your hands. But, the free weeks are kind of annoying to members. I get it though. It's how they get more customers. But, it's not worth waiting over an hour for a spray tan. Another complaint I have is how expensive the lotions, packers, primers are. It would be convenient to purchase them there but they are always over the top expensive and it's better to just buy through amazon, eBay, or Walmart. The #1 tip I can give to anyone visiting sun tan city, download the app. You can check in beforehand, update your membership info, purchase more packages, and they'll get you into your spray or subbed booth a lot faster. Truly though, it's an awesome tanning place. Great deals, friendly staff, and the tanning booths are state of the art. Love sun tan city :) read more

I really do love this place. Clean rooms, nice staff, and convenient location. Quick trip from the gym and there's plenty to do in the shopping area so it's not like you're heading to some out of the way tanning spot. The only downside is the wait for a certain bed. From first glance, Sun Tan City seems like a nice place to go...reasonable hours, locations, and price. But I tell you what...the true experience has been that they nickel and dime you every chance you get. I have been harassed to upgrade every time. I've been harassed and insanely pressured to upgrade to their lotions every time. It has been awful. I always enjoyed this salon because of the student offers, variety of tanning beds, and lotion variety. I recently purchased a membership and the worker supposedly explained all of the requirements to me, so I signed the contract. However, the person who sold me this membership failed to tell me that there was a 6 month commitment. There is apparently "No way to cancel, freeze or upgrade the membership before those 6 months". I will now be paying $30 a month for the next 5 months to not use their beds because I will not be in West Chester. This is $150 down the drain due to the lack of information disclosed to me because of their uninformed employees. Horribly disappointed with their customer service. Best relaxing beds I've even been in that are high pressure, u don't sweat, u can listen to ur own music,AMAZING color in one tan amazing lotions all up to date and new on the market. Most of all its where I feel so comfortable like I just came over to see my friends. They are all the best and believe me I don't can't tolerate fake snobby but they truly give u all their attention and care about making u feel good when u leave their upscale but not too expensive u get what u pay for and u get well over what u pay here. I had an absolutely horrific experience here that was it for me. I enjoy coming to Sun Tan City when they do the $5 spray tans and they turn out great every time (never had an issue with it, usually last about a little over a week, and I do the double dark). I drove out today excited for what I thought I was receiving. I told the front desk exactly what I wanted to do and she said that the primer wasn't included and I said that that's totally fine and that I never utilize the primer. Usually when I respond with that, that's it, and I go to the back to get set up. Well, that wasn't the case this time. I got practically ganged up on by the front desk trying so hard to up-sell the primer that it was rather uncomfortable. She kept saying it was only $10 more which I understand, but I came there for the $5 tan and the $5 tan only, I don't expect to buy anything more despite the cost. We continued to go back and forth and she could see that I was rather conflicted and I wanted to be nice, but I clearly gave off a front that I didn't necessarily want it. She said for me to take 30 seconds to think on it WHILE she was having me sign shit and then asked me again, like where was my 30 seconds? Another front desk lady then came into the conversation saying that I was getting a $5 spray tan that is normally $45. They then said that I can do a $7 primer instead, but I kept emphasizing that I've never had an issue in the past and that they kept saying I was going to turn out orange and blotchy. Then, another person came out and they kept questioning why I was so conflicted and I simply stated that I didn't have enough at the moment to lay out more than I came for. I couldn't even stand up for myself at that point!! It ended with me having to walk out and unfortunately not giving them my service because I was absolutely interrogated, and for that I won't be returning. I came last week and it was great- I did the double dip and my tan turned out perfect. I asked for the same thing today when I went back in and not only did my tanning bed shut off 3 minutes before my requested time, but when I went in for a spray my "order" wasn't correct I had to get back change and correct it. Then I finally got sprayed and it definitely was not medium color. It hardly made a difference at all. Nothing like last time! I will not be back! Waste of $20. read more

Unfortunately I'm getting very frustrated with WC Sun Tan City lately... when I first joined I would have given it 5 stars and then some; friendly helpful staff, clean place, easy in and out. The past 3months have been a different story and very frustrating/disappointing. I am signed up for the spray tan membership and recently it has been tough to actually get my tans and get a good tan. Some of the staff are newer and not so friendly/helpful. For the past 2/3months 1 out of 2 booths has been broken, still not fixed which has created huge lines/wait times. I have had to wait or come back for my last 3/4 visits; one visit I waited 2HOURS. Pretty frustrating. In my last few visits my tan has seemed to be off as well, esp on my legs(like non existent), even though I get the double leg spray. The working booth now has a cold drying process instead of a warm like before, which is never pleasant but extra unpleasant in the winter. Lastly, I called to ask a question and waited 8min on the phone for an associate to answer and ended up having to hang up because I ran out of time. :( Anyway I am hoping that pointing these things out will help get things rectified soon. Not say I can Recomend at the moment but would like to be able to! Please help! read more

I've never written a review before because I've never really had an experience that stuck with me enough to write one, but I guess there's a first for everything:) I know this is long, but please read it could help you decide if you want to give this place a try (you don't.) Anyways, it's free spray tan week at Sun Tan City so my friend and I decided to go give it a try. I've had a spray tan before but I've never been to this place and my friend has never been here either. When we arrived the 2 girls were not the nicest but it I didn't really think much of it. I was sent back to a room and my friend was told to wait. When my tanning session was over I went to the front to wait with my friend. She was finally told that a room was ready when a woman shouted from some unknown location in the store that her room was ready. My friend was a little nervous so I offered to go back with her to help get her situated. We weren't sure if this was allowed but since neither of the girls were anywhere to be found we decided to just go back together. We were in there for about 10 minutes when we got a call on the phone that they have in there and it was one of the girls. She RUDELY told me that 2 people were not allowed to be in the room and accused us of being too loud and disrupting to the nonexistent "other people." I apologized and left the room immediately. I waited outside the door for my friend and not 10 minutes later my friend comes out, almost in tears, telling me that we were leaving. She proceeded to tell me that when I left the room, her tanning session (which had been paused when we got the call for me to leave) was never resumed. She called the girl to politely ask if she would start it and she said that she stopped it to tell me to get out and didn't believe that I had left the room. My friend informed her that I had left and asked her to please resume the session. She waited another minute or so and still the session hadn't been resumed. My friend called once again to ask, but the girl accused her of being rude and yelling at her, which was not true at all, and said that she would start it now. Still, she didn't start it and my friend eventually called her and said not to bother because we were leaving. We both walked out of the store. Neither of the girls said a word as we left. There was no apology of any sort. My friend and I were so excited to try this place out and I am so sad that people like this think it's ok to treat other people so rudely. Honestly this was the worst customer service I have ever experienced and I will not be returning. This ruined my night. Luckily my friend and I had a good dining experience at Fusion (sushi) and we're reminded that good customer service/people still exist. read more

Went here because of a great $5 7 day highest level of tanning special and I am so glad I did. I even had a membership somewhere else. The staff is very nice and the place and the equipment is very very CLEAN and updated I am in love with their machines they are so cool. What threw me off at first was the automated phone service they have when you call which I didn't really care for, and all of the cartoon figures as the face of the business which I thought was really strange, there's like cartoons everywhere on the site and their signs. But I'm glad I gave is a shot and will definitely by back! read more

Absolutely awful customer service. The employees do not tell you about hidden fees you will be charged and next thing you know your credit card has been charged. They also do not disclose any of the fine print material. You are not informed you will be charged to unfreeze an account or that if you cancel the account after it being frozen you lose all of your credits. The employees need to be more educated with how the system works and they need to inform their customers. I will never go back because there was so much hidden and not expressed in terms of money. read more

Best beds in the area 100%! Extremely clean and wonderful. I have been to many tanning salons in the area and these by far are the most effective! I do have two issues with the establishment though. First, I have had a couple associates who were wonderful, but the bad ones are just awful! On two separate occasions they have been snappy, rude, and made me extremely uncomfortable and feel very stupid (which I am not a fan of, I am not an expert on how everything works, no reason to belittle me). When I brought my roommate in for the first time to sign up, we arrived and no one was there. The associate began to explain everything to her, but in the middle of it a few other customers came in and she began to work with them instead and kept telling my roommate "Sorry, be patient". I was in and out of my bed, and waited another half hour before she even got into a room after standing and waiting 45 minutes from beginning to finally getting a bed. Also, after registering for a two month commitment, I found out that I was going to be on vacation for two weeks of the next month which had not been previously planned. I simply asked the associate if there were ANY options, such as lowering it to another bed, paying a cancellation fee, or ANYTHING whatsoever. She was extremely rude back, stating that I had signed a contract and there were no other options. I completely understand that that was the case, but her attitude was awful and not how I like to be spoken to. If I had caused a scene I would understand, but I was just asking. It also seems a little ridiculous that there are no options whatsoever to change out of the commitment. It is tanning for God's sake, life happens and situations change! I would have rather paid a cancellation fee then the full $80 for the second month to tan!! Overall, I am not sure if I will be back, I will not be doing any sort of commitment again, but the prices for just one month are a little steep. read more

Went there to get a membership, and the employee knew nothing. After me asking multiples times, they told me every time I would not be charged again for the next month, and that it was a one time fee. Saw a charge for 35 dollars for the next month (only may 4th) show up on my card history and tried to call sun tan city, but i was forwarded to multiple recordings. They gave me the option to have them call me when someone was available, so i said yes. I hung up, waited 30 minutes and no one ever called me back. So i went in to the store today and talked to another employee who had no idea what to do, and had to get on the phone with her manager. I was forced to wait about 7-8 minutes while she was on hold! Then she gets off the phone and told me she could not give a refund because it was "already the 4th of the month". Even though i explained i just got the charge on my account yesterday, and tried to call but was never called back. The employee was not very apologetic, and kind of gave me a dirty look when i tried to explain my situation. She silently handed me a small card of info i had to fill out and sign to cancel my membership for the next month. I walked out the door very angry that I had spent 35 dollars even though i can't tan at all this month. Don't plan on ever going back. read more
