With the new park updates there is a small kids play area, a larger play structure and something new that I have not seen at many parks, a zip line! There is also more options for children with disabilities to play with added wheelchair accessibility and a swing for children who cannot use the rope. I love the inclusiveness, the sensory station for making sounds, and the shaded areas. Seeing a fully functional park to take place of the worn down one also has made the neighborhood more appealing. We are so excited to play here more, in the warmer seasons to come!

We since moved away from Reno, so it was special to be able to return after all this time with our children. My bias aside though, Im a firm believer there are few parks in the country that are as good as this one. To start, its HUGE! I don't think I've really ever seen the whole thing. There are rolling fields of grass, an "arboretum" which is like taking a walk in the mountains, a lake, playgrounds, a museum, gardens, a dog park, and idk what else. It's so beautiful wherever you go, and you can easily sink a day into exploring here.
