One man's trash is another man's treasure…read more I gave my landlord a 30-day notice on 6/10/2024 and had already paid my rent through the end of June. My intention was to pay the rent due for the 9 days in July on July 1st. The week of June 23 through the 28th, Britt Fulton and Michael Miller of Luxre Realty taught me that ONE MAN'S TREASURE IS ANOTHER MAN'S TRASH. During this week, these true professionals and icons of their industry were kind enough to toss all of my stuff into closets to do a photo shoot, list the condo I lived in and start showing it without any notice. They were also kind enough to boot me out of my home 2 days before the end of the month for an open house weekend: again, with no notice. I only found out because one of my neighbors thought all the activity in my home, was out of the ordinary. Apparently, renter's rights, morals and common courtesy mean absolutely nothing to these pillars of their community when it gets in the way of their greed. These fine folk put some of my plants out on the open deck which is painted metal on a hot summer day and let my plants burn and die. One of those plants was over 20 years old which I'd grown from a cutting from one of my mom's plants. These titans of their trade piled my stuff into closets, even tossing stuff on top of my other plants. They also scratched a 28-inch 4K Samsung monitor that I needed for work. I was never able to find my Vitamix blender. It was on the kitchen counter when last I saw it and I miss my smoothies... Luckily, I'd already taken most of my "treasures" to my new apartment a few days before. I just wish I'd taken all of my plants with me. I had about 20 plants, one of which was over 40 years old and belonged to my mom. That one is struggling to survive as it got burned pretty bad in the heat. Here are some pictures; please let me know if you think I'm overreacting, because I'm also considering filing a complaint with the National and California Associations of Realtors. I'm a Certified General Appraiser with over 38 years experience and have NEVER seen a realtor treat another person's personal belongings in such a manner.
