The tanning spot near my house closed and Sun Works was the best option for me. Prior to visiting the location I visited their website and found a great deal. For new customers only, 3 sessions of one of their best beds for $55 (before presenting them with this particular deal make sure it is still available through their website). She had me take a picture of the offer and present it to her through my phone when I was signing up. The two ladies that work the salon are very sweet, the bed and room are always clean. The salon itself is a very clean salon, one of the best in the area. Btw - the particular deal that I got was a STEAL. The bed I used was strong and quick. Surely, it was an amazing deal. This is easily my favorite salon. I haven't been interested in tanning until my friend convinced me to come here. I cluelessly went in and the girl in the front was really patient and helped me pick out the best package with the best lotion. My skin is now glowing like never before. I've been going to this tanning salon for almost a year now. They're definitely the best quality, value and product in Glendale when it comes to spray tans. I've bought several spray tan packages for the Pura. They have a second location and there they have a Mystic HD booth which is probably my favorite! It's consistently a dark and even color that lasts a week or more on me. The Pura is good, I do find that sometimes the solution is darker and sometimes it's lighter even if I request the dark solution. But it's never looked bad. The staff is always really helpful and friendly! I've used the beds before too and they're good as well. Conveniently located too with lots of parking. read more

If youre looking for an afforable and clean tanning salon this is it. I love to use the "GIANT" bed because it always gives me an amazing bronzed look especially when i use my lotion bottle. The girl was so nice she discounted the bottle for me and even gave me a free session since I bought a pack of 5. I would like to notify BOTH the business AND any potential customers how RUDE, unprofessional & uninformed this guy was on the phone today. When I asked about prices, I was told I could just schedule a service and show up, and then I would be told how much I would be charged. When I explained that I would be driving from Dtla, and that I would need the price in advance to make an informed decision, I was told that I could just go elsewhere for my services. I then proceeded to tell him how incredibly rude and unprofessional he was being, and that I was going to ensure the business was aware of it. At that point in time, he began to raise his voice at me, & told me that my phone number was going to be blocked, in an effort to preclude me from notifying the business. I sincerely hope that the business owner reads this review, because if they continue to employ a call center like this, I would never consider utilizing them for my services. Sun works tanning is the best salon I've been too! I've been to over 5 salons and I still will choose sun works. They're staff is very polite and educated, beds and rooms are clean they keep everything very sanitary. All the beds are also new and they have the best ones!!! Also the prices compared to the other places I went are way more reasonable. I've tried all the beds there, all were amazing. My favorites are the matrix and giant. First time going into a tanning salon. I've always tried to tan outdoors but never got any real results. I walked into Sun Works and the staff treated me with lots of respect. I had so many questions and they never seemed to be annoyed or frustrated with my lack of knowledge. always answered all my questions to the best of their abilities and got me the best deals including some free sessions after buying a 20 pack of the sun board bed. The beds were really clean and I had no problem starting up my bed since they explained step by step how everything worked. I will definitely continue to tan here! P.S their lotions are amazing!!! First let me say the girls that work here are super sweet and helpful. The reason for the 2 stars is because of the upkeep of this business. You walk into a dried up fountain that plants live in. The pillows are the tanning beds are old and run down. I dont want to put my head on something that can't be cleaned properly. Also they dont keep their eye wear clean. I got pink eye the next day from tanning. When i visited last i decided to wipe inside the eye goggles to see if that was the cause of my pink eye..and it was nasty what came out of there. Unfortunately I paid for a month, after my months over I will not be returning. REPLY TO THE MANAGERS MESSAGE Well since you've stalk my visits and put it on yelp (which is extremely unprofessional) you will also see I also came there last year too and the same pillows you say you had to use for stolen purposes were the same ones there last year. Also I too am in management and the one thing I don't do is make excuses for my people. Lets be honest, you're not there 24/7 to confirm that your team is 100% with cleaning. And never ONCE has anyone made a suggestion to purchase eyewear. I have no problem with your employees, they are actually all very nice and at one point I thought to recruit them for my company. The tan was wearing off in some areas more than others, to be expected, I went back to try to even It out and the owner was so nice. He gave me a free bottle of touch up tan for the inconvenience of having to come back and he also discounted me on a bottle of tanning lotion for my bed tans. I wanted to start off by saying that don't tan often because I never really have time anymore, but I do come in here and there for single sessions in the high pressure beds and I get great color just off one session. Its a super clean place but my favorite part is the customer service. The receptionist Armine is soooo sweet and approachable, she always makes my visit there an enjoyable one. I purchased an over-priced tanning lotion by: Hemp for $65.00. Tried using it and shook it up really good before the first use. The lotion came out of the bottle tip in chunks. Turns out the top layer of about an inch thick was dry and completely crusty...Yuck. Rec'd a store-credit only for the defective product. Would not refund my purchase whatsoever. Buyer beware. All other experiences here at this location have been wonderful; except for the one time when the bed I was assigned hadn't been cleaned from the previous customer. Amazing place, I have lived in SoCal most of my life and yet I am sooo white! I had to do something to look more like my culture so I needed a base tan. The lady at the front desk was very very friendly, and she told me exactly what I needed to do to get exactly what I want. She even suggested a high value package so I would pay less and get the most for my money. The machines are great, you can tell they are the top-notch! I went in under the high pressure bed 4 times already and I have not burned, they have two different kinds based on preference and even a built in stereo to listen to music while you tan! I've been tanning at Sun Works on and off since they opened their (I believe first) location on Glendale Ave. in the shopping center where the old blockbuster was then closed and moved to this one on Central so it's pretty safe to say I know what I'm talking about when it comes to tanning. I've tried many other tanning salons. I've even gotten a nasty skin fungus from a tanning salon that's a well known place which I won't name. I honestly love Sun Works they are very clean and use the right spray which is very important to clean their beds the girls in the front from when I first started tanning til now are always very nice and sweet and knowledgeable. Now during our phone call, you insinuated twice that I was lying and with your yelp response you've made it a third time, so let me clear this up. I've attached photos of the charge on my card the day I went to your store, the 19th. I've attached a photo of your number the day you left me a voicemail requesting I call you back after you checked your machine, the 21st. After our call and your insistence that I was a liar, I decided to leave a review with the photos I've taken. I find it comical that you think the photos of my face are "overdone makeup", as the woman I spoke to on the 20th when I went in to your store saw it and agreed it was blotchy. Perhaps you think it's a fake photo because the positive reviews for your store have the same grammatical errors that your reply to my initial post has, hmmm, I wonder which is really fake. After I lost more than $200 over another tanning salon which went out of business few days after I signed up, I decided to find another tanning salon to go to. After reading some reviews online I went to Sun Works to get some information. I talked to Erica, she took an interest to my needs, gave me a tour and suggested a bed which would work the best for me. She was super nice and welcoming. She cleaned the bed in front of me one more time before I use it after I explained that my skin is so sensitive (and I am germaphobic). She went above and beyond to make sure I was happy and satisfied. I loved the tanning bed she suggested (the giant). Hand down the best tanning bed I have ever used. Sunworks Tanning is by far the best tanning salon in Glendale! I have tried going to different salons in the area and none of them are as good as Sunworks. The staff is extremely friendly and always very attentive. They are always trying their best to help the clients out. The packages they offer is exceptional and the lotions are always top notch! I am very pleased with this tanning salon and after coming to Sunworks, I don't think I can go anywhere else.The salon is very clean, always sanitized, always smelling very fresh, towels are always clean, goggles are provided in each room, and the overall look of the salon is very presentable. I've been living in LA for several years now and can confidently say Sun Works is by far the best tanning salon I've ever been too. After trying out so many other salons in the area, I was hesitant to even give tanning another try but I could not be happier with sun works!! I came in pale as bed sheets and was instantly greeted by the friendly receptionist who informed me in detail about every bed and package options and what would work best for me. She wasn't pushy and seemed to genuinely care for my skin and tanning experience. I ended up trying out the matrix, and it was amazing.
