The person who runs the spa never greets you when you walk in. Always sitting down, gives an attitude if you make her actually work. They never recommend product or beds, just rush you in. They see someone come in at 7:30 and tell you to come back another day because they somehow have two people in line in front of you that made phone appointments versus being at the salon on time. Talks crap to you continually if you make her work. Very unprofessional. It's the closest location to me that has versa spa so only reason I have to go there. Walked-in for a quick tan. I was NOT greeted by the front desk lady. The vibe was so weird. She is a brunette in her 50's. After I said hi, how are you? She said hi. I was like it's my first time here and would like to get a tan. She recommended the standing bed plus tanning lotion. Total of $58 for 10 mins and 1x use lotion. She was so rude and impatient explaining the procedure. I don't know if she is just always like this or having a bad day. You should not work in this type of job if you don't like working with people or being normal and polite. Overall, I have been to tanning places that offer cold water and have excellent customer service and charge the same or less. Also, there is no courtesy whips. And no lights in the standing tan room. I had such a difficult time taking off and putting my clothes back on. Overall experience: 2/5. read more

I just want to say since the beginning of the pandemic I've had no reason to get a spray tan for Events. I like to do that to ease up on any sun damage. It was so nice being there with Alex and the girls! So clean, the ambience was lovely I felt like I was at a spa. I've come here more than a few times before vacations etc. and there are a couple of cute sweet girls who work here! But there is one older woman (Alex?) who sits behind the desk sometimes who is just very rude in her tone of voice and off putting in general... there is a serious negative energy around her and her face is sour every time I see her. I usually would just keep going but I'd rather drive to their other locations to avoid interacting with her so that my self care/tan days stay fun and positive :) Going to purchase packages at the Woodland Hills shop from now on!! Haven't been there in a year. Seemed okay when arriving. 1 hour before closing. They tried to throw in a packet of cream most expensive. I said No... they charged me a reasonable packet . Which probably isn't needed , reasons For priming the skin. I think would've been fine without. I would appreciate being asked instead of an assumption. The tanning bed was good. Room Seemed clean, organized. I had to ask for robe as I was doing the versa sprayer after. You'd have to get fully dressed again, to get to other room. It just makes sense to offer, if one is doing 2 treatments in different rooms . When preparing to move to other treatment, heard a lady screaming she needed help in the Versa Spray room. Something was wrong with spray Sounded very upset! Cried out too many times, to get help. Made me nervous and paranoid! I asked maybe I should forgo that one . She said that client was trouble. I went ahead. Room was dirty , trash overflowing. Floor looked funky. Towel for feet stepping should have been changed. The sprayer created a weird distribution on On left arm &leg had to use my hands to rub and even out which had color like paint stain all over hands had to use ten wipes to remove. Couldn't see well lights very bright, ( it was night) I understand that, but when getting home after. The color was a mucky brown , not bronze! Very uneven had to fix by massaging cream to even out! I could do this with my own application of Suntan cream at home, way more work than needed. Not worth it. If these are the results. With the Versa Sprayer. Results, just okay. My feeling is they need to address maintenance of machines, if there's a problem deal with it differently. Offer to refund not blame client. Address problem. Intelligently. Just cause end of the day shouldn't make a difference! Maybe close earlier if they can't keep up. And Please Empty the Trash . Probably won't go back . But maybe if it's middle of day , like to see difference. I do go to another place that is Immaculate clean, very organized, rooms well lit. Machines are all well maintained It's just a little far. Time to highly recommend Sunset Tan in Studio City again. I've been tanning, spray tanning and using the red light bed for over 4 years now. Which are all THE BEST beds in town. Super clean, state of the art beds, always exceptionally maintained, and fantastic prices and monty deals. I LOVE LOVE the red light bed, and have seen and felt a huge difference in my skin, especially the with scaring and sun damage. Alix and her staff are very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. I received a tan here just moments ago, 8/28 around 7:40 pm. When I walked in there were 2 ladies at the front desk, 1 was assisting a man the other did not greet me. When the guy in front of me finished, the lady just starred at me to approach her with a dead look. I stated it was my first time tanning and she immediately was impatient with my 2 questions, acting as if I am supposed to know how it works. It's in a good location bc there's plenty of parking. They offer pretty much everything: tanning beds, spray tans, airbrush tans and red light therapy. They have all level Of beds including stand up and a new one (highest level) that's gives you faster & instant results! They do warn you that the bed gets very hot so you don't get burned. The airbrush tan even comes with an extender and a variety of color choices. They have really good hours too bc they're open late.
