I was rushed to buy the vehicle and told they would sell it under me. That was the first flag I…read moreshould have run from. Got the car and it smelled so strong of cleaner. Drove about 30 miles and the smell was horrific. I got home and called them the next morning saying i did not want the vehicle bc i couldn't handle the smell. They told me they did not take cars back but would consider giving me a trade value. I refused that saying I wanted my full amount back. They then began saying they wouldn't work with me at all if i was angry. And demanding a refund "doesn't work that way" So they said i could bring the car in and they would diagnose the smell (i only agreed to this bc they told me several times I could not return it.) I drove 6 hours for them to blame me for the smell, not diagnose anything and told me to use coffee beans for the smell. I complained again the next day and they ignored me completely. So i started reaching out to report them. They now say I can't return it bc i didn't in time and they won't extend it for me. They say if i drive back another 6 hours they will actually diagnose it this time. Obviously there is no respect or trust in them doing right by me. They are a huge scam. Liars. And take advantage of people. I've got 4 open claims against them. And a car that is now sitting due to how sick it makes me. Likely from mold. Stay clear of them. I have never in my life had to experience such dishonesty.

My experience at Dan O'Brien Subaru in Claremont, New Hampshire yesterday validates the painful…read morecliche about unethical car salesmen. After working out a deal on the phone--with offers confirmed repeatedly over text--on a trade-in of my existing Crosstrek and a lease of a new Outback Wilderness, I visited Dan O'Brien Subaru psyched to leave with a new car. After waiting for almost 20 minutes for the sales manager's time, my wife and I sat down at a table intending to sign paperwork to complete the transaction we had agreed to before coming in. Instead, after making something resembling a sexist remark involving my wife, the sales manager presented me with a deal for a purchase of the car--not a lease--that would have resulted in a monthly payment almost $200 more than what we agreed to on the phone. Then, when I insisted that I see the lease deal they offered on the phone, the sales manager went back to his office for several minutes. He returned with a lease offer that was $100 more per month and shorter in lease term than what I was quoted on the phone. He claimed it was the best offer he could make. When I asked why there was such a difference between this offer and the one I was promised, he blamed the online estimation system they used to generate offers. He said that, in his time at the dealership, this had been a consistent problem: the online system seemed to always generate inaccurate offers. Bottom line: the sales manager at Dan O'Brien Subaru is knowingly--and apparently repeatedly--using an inaccurate tool to offer quoted prices that he has zero intention of honoring. I'm guessing he's doing this to lure people into the dealership in the hope that they'll agree to the higher price once they're there and see the car, etc. If I were a lawyer, I'd look into fraud charges. But I'm not, so I'll have to settle with having spent an afternoon learning to never set foot at Dan O'Brien Subaru again, and make sure that no one I care about does, either. One star because the play area they had for my kids was nice, and because free bottled water and snacks were a nice gesture.

We were there to look at what our options were and how much we were looking at for a payment we didn't even have a dollar in our pocket YET WE LEFT WITH A CAR. At first he was cool and chill explaining to my man with no credit he wasn't going to be approved for a truck like he wanted. So the salesman showed him something in his budget which was a 2016 Subaru Impreza told my man he has these cars for credit building and the payment would be 330 a month. He was telling us what we wanted to hear. When we called for insurance we were told a number which mad it so we wouldn't be able to cover everything as we had a newborn at the time. When we told the salesman that we couldnt afford the insurance so we weren't gonna move forward with the car. The salesman payed the first month of insurance himself so he could continue pushing us into the car well we left with it and have made the payment work. Here a year later I'm finding out he over sold us by 10 thousand dollars we took it to a brand dealership and they put the car through Kelly blue book and the car is only work 6 thousand at the most and he sold it to us for 16 thousand plus a 3thousand dollar warranty so we can't even trade the car in and we have already spent near to more than 2 thousand dollars on repairs and to find out the whole exhaust is rusted through. This place is a scam and we are stuck with this rust bucket cuz no bank will approve us for a loan for a car when we have to roll over 10 thousand ontop of the new car.

The second time I brought it back in not even 2 days having it back my steering rack and pinion was broken, I took it back to the shop so that they could fix that too, Unfortunately since all this basically happened all at once my finances were completely wrecked! but they were completely understanding about it and worked with me so it could play out best for us both and I can't be more greatful. I have a broken radio and sooner rather then later Im bringing it back to get it replaced!! Please consider these guys if your vehicle is having any trouble, They deserve the support!!

TIME LINE @ ENGLAND BROS…read more 4/13/26 brought to shop Paul said grandpa had one just like it Was thrilled to work on it. 6/22/26 picked it up Paul said he did the brake job (bleeding the brake lines) but wouldn't charge me since it took so long & couldn't complete all that I wanted done. He didn't bleed the brakes even though he SAID he had. I can't stress this enough. I knew it as I was pulling out onto John Stark Hwy. when my foot went to the floor trying to stop for traffic. In between April 13 & June 22? It was raining. It snowed. He was sick. He got behind in his jobs. It rained again. He was behind again. He was starting today. It rained. He was gonna do it tomorrow for sure & thanks for being so understanding. He'd call as soon as it was done. After a week I called him. He said he was on it. He'd call in a few days when it was done. It rained. I left a message that if he can't do it please just call & let me know so I can move on. I called 2 days later & he said I was on his call list & he just can't do the job. April 13-June 22. I was kind. I never yelled. I was understanding. When I went to pick it up he said the brakes were indeed bled but no charge for my trouble & for being so patient. Gave me a safety inspection sticker. A SAFETY INSPECTION STICKER. No longer required in NH but I wanted to be sure I was good to go. Knowing FULL WELL he hadn't done my brakes & just let me drive away. EDIT TO SAY: Just went out to check things out (it was raining yesterday when I picked it up) and found the ORIGINAL LIST I had given Paul. bleed brakes (price given $127), safety check, fix gas gauge, new battery for engine to include new mount, de-winterize it ($127), blow out the vents (n/c), attach front plate (wasn't done when I got there but he had his guy do it) and NONE OF THIS WAS DONE. What WAS done was muddy footprints & dirt everywhere, seats taken apart & not put back together, and a drawer that doesn't close now. It was clean when I brought it in. Everything in place. And now.....? What a MESS!
