Sunburst is a complete scam. Attended their presentation where they offered wholesale travel trips, up to 78% off normal prices. Every promise they made was a complete lie. I PAID $12,000 in February and got nothing but the runaround. And now they are going out of business with 1 days notice. I would like to start a class action lawsuit. Anyone else interested? We would give them minus 5 stars if possible! Total scam. We went to a presentation by the company in April. Key points in the presentation by Mr. James Olson was that we could save from 30% to 50% on travel packages due to Sunburst Travels' savings by buying wholesale in bulk and then passing the savings onto members at 3% to 4% over cost. Mr. Olson showed multiple examples of these 30% to 50% savings on package trips during his presentation. We started planning some guided tours for later this year but we were shocked and dismayed to note that the Sunburst website showed the exact same discounts shown by the tour companies themselves and that the same discounts shown on Sunburst's site were easily available to the general public on the providers' websites in over 95% of the 30-40 tour comparisons we looked at! All Sunburst's website was doing was mirroring the prices of the same trips that we could have booked without our expensive and worthless Sunburst membership. These comparisons truly exposed Sunburst's lies and false assurances of special pricing and access to these tours only available, supposedly, to Sunburst's members! They seem suspicious. I gave them a 2 since I haven't witnessed them doing anything illegal. But they are misleading. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I received a card in the mail to attend a presentation at the Hilton Garden Inn in Cupertino, CA in 2/2025, & I would receive items, as detailed below which I copied from their follow up email.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When I was there, it was a sales pitch for $14,993 later lowered to $6,998.50 by the closer. plus $149 per year renewal to be a member. As a member you can buy travel at wholesale cost. They said if after 5 years if you didn't save money, you could apply for a refund for the difference of the membership fee, less what you saved. I declined, today I logged into their site to claim the deals below, & I had a surprise that I didn't care for. The restaurant certificate costs $12.95 to activate. The cruise costs $49.95 to activate for access to book, & when booking they demand an unreasonable $517 for taxes & mysterious fees per couple. The flight & hotel costs $50 to activate for access to book, & an unreasonable $398 per couple for taxes & mysterious fees. One would have to travel a lot to come out ahead. Went to seminar with my sister at Embassy Suites. This is a large travel agency that gets you discounted prices for all your traveling needs. I ended up purchasing you pay $149 a year and $12,000 for membership. I've already booked my next trip at a great price. All prices are guaranteed or they will give you your money back. We attended a seminar and were asked to keep an open mind. At the outset, they requested all cell phones be put away (ostensibly to have our full attention). One woman was looking at her phone during the presentation and was asked to leave. In hindsight, she was actually validating their claims online. They claim to provide steep discounts over 'retail' booking site apps as they receive deals 'wholesale'. This is not what we have seen. in fact, the retail apps are in many cases, cheaper.
