I have shopped here before but when you can't even get in the door without being harassed by people in the parking lot, it's not worth it. Maybe not the workers fault but maybe some signs for no loitering so I could actually get out of my car. Someone came to the door but just let someone in and locked the door at 9:55am with telling the person to stop banging on my window. read more

I have always found items and furniture here that are in really good condition and also fairly priced. I recently purchased a dinette set which they delivered and set up. Honestly not sure I'll be back to this location unless I'm in need of furniture. Prices were high for clothing, shoes, & small home goods like kitchenwares and wall art. The furniture options seemed to be in good shape with a large selection to pick from (probably the largest selection I've seen lately), and the store was well organized. But the shoes I looked at were all $15-$30 dollars without being name brands or great condition, and the "boutique" brands were brands sold at Target & JCPenney but priced anywhere firm $8-$15 for a simple t-shirt. The housewares had sets sold together that felt like they also were priced high, and even single coffee cups were as much as $4. I ended up getting just a few items because I felt like I didn't have the budget for this thrift store. Honestly prices were more like consignment shop price point compared to other thrift stores and consignment shops in the area. read more

I've gone here for years but this place has really gone down hill. the prices are really crazy $5.99 for a pack of bows. $20 for a shirt that has been there for months. this use to be my favorite store! so sad. and the staff is so rude. they can't be bothered to help. I feel like St. Vincent De Paul Thrift Stores have been around forever, but then again so has the Catholic Church. :)) This particular store is conveniently located right off Route 19 and next to the Coachman Carwash. I always find their store to be clean and organized. At this particular visit, they were having a 50% off all furniture. The store was buzzing. I love checking out their book area. On this trip I found a great spiritual book for only fifty four cents! I've been wanting to read this particular book for some time now and retails for $20. Pressed for time, I didn't browse the clothing area, but in the past I have been able to find some real treasures, even some never worn! I bought a dining table and chairs. I was lucky to find it on a day that they were 50% off! So the whole set cost only $65. There were only three chairs but I found another chair that can be painted and will complete the set. The manager kindly threw it in for free! I also found a cute upholstered chair for $49, which I felt was reasonable. The best thing is the $30 delivery fee--no matter how much you buy it costs $30. I thought that was a lot better than trying to squeeze everything into my car over multiple trips. I saw a previous review that said the cashier wasn't friendly. I disagree. The cashier was very friendly! Overall I thought it was a good store and I will definitely return. read more

Like many thrift stores, the selection is hit or miss. I admit, it was a bit oddly organized but it is a large store with many options. There are many women's shoes, some very good quality ones. All of the merchandise was strangely priced. Some items were incredibly reasonable, such as a modern leather chair for $49 but then there was a strange cheap stuffed clown for $15. Many items were not marked at all, the shoes are listed as $4 and up, but do not have individual price tags. I would return, but without any real expectations. read more

I would rather spend my money on something I can reuse or up cycle & knowing the money goes to a wonderful cause Veterans, Families in need , & the poor. This thrift store is not at the top of my list for several reasons: 1) they seem a bit dirtier than many others, especially compared to the Friends of Strays, which manages to feel and smell clean despite their regular showcasing of pets. St Vincent's always feels dusty and grungy, and I've occasionally had spates of wheezing here 2) their pricing is really bizarre. While I love the fact that their books are so cheap - up to ten books for a dollar and the only reason I stop by - other items, such as cheesy wooden plaques and "art" appear to be way overpriced 3) their quality is low in general. For example, though their book pricing is great, I typically only find volumes that are suitable for cutting up to supply my collage art. It is rare to see something I would actually want to read. Also, I gave up on rummaging through their clothing after two visits In general, some people might find it worth the occasional visit (I do), but there are far better options around. read more

We donate to St. Vincent de Paul frequently, but honestly will probably start taking our items elsewhere. My husband and I dropped off several items today and the gentleman who was taking care of the donations was rude and not helpful at all. He only helped remove one or two items from the truck and told us he had enough Christmas trees and didn't need more. Okay, fine, we can take it elsewhere. He either watched us unload items or walked back and forth from the inside to the outside mumbling. We had to ask for a receipt for taxes. CON'T. FROM EARLIER REVIEW. The manager refused to work things out and decided that she couldn't solve any problems and hung up, but not before she said that my husband should be ashamed of himself for letting the condo get this way! (looks like a pig sty) (The driver had sent a picture of the living room to her) Unbelievable behavior for a manager of any nature , especially a church society representative . She is definitely in the wrong position, since she totally lacks PR skills . Little did she know that we had worked two days to get the condo ready so we could DONATE these items! Many of which were still in their original boxes! The time frame was very important concerning the pick up, since we had an installer coming to install laminate flooring the first part of next week, so the condo can be rented again! I would love to meet this woman in person, since both my husband and I DID NOT DESERVE THIS DISRESPECT! LET'S ALSO NOT FORGET THE TOTAL MISCOMMUNICATION, US WAITING THERE FROM 10:00 TIL 3:45 AND THEM REFUSING TO PICK UP ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!! This all added to a perfect day. I am trying to make sense of this place. It's huge, which is nice but it seems to have a large section of furniture. I found a table I fell in love with it was unique but it was overpriced for being used and the seats looking like a cat had it's way with it. For the other items it was sparse. This could be a nice store - some of the employees are frienldy and helpful, and the items are always nicely displayed. However the last 4 times I've been in the store I have had a very rude sales associate at the register. Won't look at you, barely answers you, when she has to talk it's one word if possible, resents showing you anything, etc. I had picked up the wrong item today and wanted to exhange it (the item cost one dime, keep this in mind)....she made a big point of checking out my bag before I left the store to make sure I didn't steal something. She was surly and resentful when my husband asked to see some items in the case. We drive right by this store frequently but honestly we always feel so disgruntled when we leave that we just stopped going on. This used to be a good thrift store now they are trying to sell like a consignment shop. The Manager was rude to me I found some nice glass wear with no prices as I kept shopping I found a matching glass with a 50 cent sticker I was trying to explain to the clerk up front when the Manager rudely interrupted saying that the glass was the wrong price that they were $1 each. I basically felt like she was accusing me of altering the price. I won't be back....I spend $100 of dollars a month at thrift stores. I love this thrift store! I have found so many nice things! I have gone two Fridays in a row (50% off day) and have a blast! I found a nice little ottoman that went from$20 one week down to $10 the next week so of course we had to get it. Nice decorations for .25 each. Kitchen goodies galore. I being pregnant have not found anything clothing wise but my boyfriend finds amazing deals in clothing! I love this place and will probably make a point to stop by every Friday! read more
