Dr. Hellar, what a great doctor he's been there forever and now that skin solution is taken it over he is still the same great Dr I do remember please consider him for your dermatologist as I used to be with him 20 years ago for his service but then I left and I had moved around quite a bit after that and I showed back up after I had a bad experience at a different dermatologist And I don't know how I could've forgotten him I'm so glad I found him again. He's only three blocks from my house convenient and his crew is outstanding. Make sure that you check him out. I was annoyed when I left my appointment so I decided to sleep on it before writing my review. I called and made an appt with Dr Heller. I arrived at his office an hour before my appointment and was told that I didn't have an appointment with him and my appointment was with Colleen in some other office. I figured I'm here. Let me go ahead and get this appointment taken care of and get it out of the way. I had three issues that I desperately needed addressed. She told me she could only address my cancer check and i had to make a separate appointment for my acne to be addressed and another appointment for a rash. They sent me a letter before my appointment and the 15 min appointment was billed for $500! First of all, she's only a physicians assistant, not a dermatologist. Colleen rushed the derm check and couldn't be bothered by questions or concerns. She acted like she was doing me a favor by prescribing me a cream for my rash but didn't have time to actually examine me or ask questions to properly diagnose me. Both the cna and Colleen commented on how Dr Heller was older and not as thorough as Colleen. Also, she was 30 minutes late for my appointment. The expectation from her to address a rash, acne, and cancer check is 3 separate appointments, billed at a total of $1,500. I'm triple insured and honestly this feels like insurance fraud and taking advantage of a broken system. This business cares more about money than taking care of their patients. read more

I have never felt so comfortable in a Dr.s office before! Colleen is the sweetest, so intelligent, and very thorough. Also, I couldn't be more of a baby about biopsies and needles and things like that, and she gave me the most painless biopsy ever! It's important that I write a review about this practice. We needed a dermatologist and by chance came across this one. First my husband was a patient and then me. We both saw Colleen and it has been a great experience since the beginning. The staff was friendly and efficient. They patiently helped us work the tablet answering questions usually asked new patients. Then in the examining room the assistant was thorough and courteous. We next met Colleen and she is very knowledgeable, helpful and has a very pleasant personality. Not only was she able to get us started on the right path to correct our problems, she explained the necessary steps we needed to take at home. If you're looking for someone who 'knows their stuff" please give this practice a shout. read more

When I was in the exam room with Colleen, she told me I could have ONE spot looked at for a cheaper price, or I could have a complete check for $170.00. This time I choose to have my one spot looked at because that was what I was concerned about. They originally billed me at a reduced price. The next day the receptionist called me and told me they would be billing me for the entire $170.00 even though I did NOT have anything looked at but ONE spot. If COLLEEN had NOT told me I was going to be billed LESS if I did not have a complete exam I would have had a complete exam. They apparently just wanted to receive FULL EXAM PAYMENT after telling me and taking my payment for a reduced exam visit since they only looked at ONE SPOT. read more

I've been going to this office for a couple years now. Colleen is very knowledgeable and passionate! She tells you exactly what's going to happen and what to expect! She treated skin cancer I had on my chest and made me feel very comfortable with the process. I am now Skin cancer free in that particular area. Thankfully! But she wants to check me often. I'm sure if you are looking for basic cosmetology services, Colleen would be just fine. However, she is ONLY A PA, NOT A DOCTOR. THERE IS NO DOCTOR ONSITE! When it comes to ANY dermatology issues, Colleen's lack of experience & education shows. She does not believe in parasites, nor in any belief on how they can effect your skin. She fell extremely short(said I was fine & that it was nothing, just anxiety & to go see a Psychiatrist) on identifying a horrible skin infection/rash I had contracted that thankfully my family doctor was able to identify & provide treatment immediately. ***Mind you, she advised she's seen MANY PATIENTS W/SAME SYMPTOMS & that she wouldn't waste time diagnosing, as it's all in the patients head, that parasites DO NOT EXIST*** Along w/office staff & CNA's gossiping about your skin infection(laughing saying it's all in patients head) at the front desk, while you & others are seated in the waiting area. I hold a degree in Psychology & this office falls short on having good code of ethics & any real dermatology care. If you are looking to see a SKILLED DERMATOLOGIST WHO IS A DOCTOR & NOT JUST A DOCTOR ASSISTANT, I highly recommend finding a DIFFERENT DERMATOLOGY OFFICE. read more
