Claims no referral sent because they call the referred patient. After speaking with my husband they did call him. So obviously a referral was sent. They had told my husband next year the soonest he could get in. I would think that they would make an exception for a doctor referral but no chance. She seemed and spoke like a bully. No thank you. Spoke to the doctor that gave the referral and let him know. I do not recommend this doctor because of the bad customer service right from the start! Someone needs a lesson in customer service!!!

Pleasant staff, well trained, beautiful waiting room with cold drinks, treats, etc. Only advice, bring something to amuse yourself as wait time for appointments can run long. It would be nice if someone was proactive to call/text in advance to advise when this is the case. There are certainly plenty of emails, texts to inform of appointments but it stops with that.. Some of us work too and allocate so much time for appointments and not excessive waiting time. I still go there and have been very pleased with services.

It was my first time there , and I also didn't like that they didn't book a two week appointment to come back to check the initial work- I had to ask for that appointment. I went back after two weeks, and she injected me again, with more units, and it's been over three weeks and there's no change. Just me being picky / I didn't care for the two girls at the front desk, and every time I call there, nobody answers the phone and it goes to the main line of the dermatologist office , and then I'm stuck with somebody in a call-center that has no idea what's going on. In the past my experience with Botox , if it's not done correctly, the first time- it wasn't done correctly. And to pay money and not be happy and see very minimal results, really pisses me off. I would not recommend this place.

Before scheduling, I specifically asked whether they were in-network with Tricare and was told they were. I relied on that information when choosing this practice. I later learned they were NOT in-network--and management ultimately acknowledged in writing that I had been given incorrect information and apologized for the "oversight and misinformation." Unfortunately, they have still refused to simply honor the in-network cost I reasonably expected based on what their own staff told me. The billing process has been equally frustrating and inconsistent. I have received multiple different amounts and explanations for what I supposedly owe. At one point, they proposed charging me a $219 self-pay rate for a visit even though Tricare's EOB showed my patient responsibility as $56.26. This issue has dragged on for months. Mistakes happen. What is unacceptable to me is acknowledging that your staff gave a patient incorrect insurance information, but then expecting the patient to bear the financial consequences of that mistake. The entire experience has left me with very little confidence in the management and billing operations of this practice. If you choose to go here, verify their network status directly with your insurer, carefully review every EOB and bill, and keep everything in writing. I'm very glad I did.

Making an appointment was extremely easy and the receptionist was just lovely. When I walked in this morning, she must've been anticipating my appointment because she knew who I was when a walked in. My appointment was right on schedule and I met with Dr. Abrams and he told me exactly what we would be doing for the treatment which was a laser we went to another room and it was a few zpps of the laser and boom my area of concern was gone instantly I couldn't believe it! It was a miracle. I wish I had done this years ago! Dr. Abrams also took the time to talk with me about some other treatments that would be very beneficial to help me achieve the complete look for my facial skin neck and delicate. He even personally walked me to the other room to show me the equipment that he used to administer these treatments. It really meant a lot to me that the doctor himself took just a few minutes to show me around. He is a great conversationalist and made me feel very welcome. I paid the quoted amount at the time of my appointment. At no point was I informed that I would receive a separate bill from Quest Diagnostics for lab work. I later received an unexpected $400 charge for a basic bacterial test. As a self-pay patient who explicitly asked for the total cost upfront, I find this lack of disclosure unacceptable. Patients should be clearly informed when services involve third-party billing, especially when they are uninsured and relying on quoted pricing to make informed decisions. I also received an additional bill from the clinic that was not clearly explained. After speaking with Megan Surrency, that charge was removed, and I appreciate her responsiveness in resolving that portion. Transparency and full cost disclosure are essential in healthcare. Based on this experience, I cannot in good faith recommend PHDermatology.
