Pickup was easy and convenient at a location near the Miami airport, and the clean, comfortable van made the drive across southern Florida along the Tamiami Trail enjoyable. There is a bar on board, so no need to sail sober! LOL There are also a few snacks for purchase. The air movement on the boat keeps you from getting too warm, even when the sun is blazing, but don't forget your sunscreen. There's no bad seat aboard. All in all, it's a nice little boat ride if you're looking to get outside and burn some time in Fort Lauderdale. There is a string of food shops along the waterfront outside the entrance, so you can plan to grab lunch or dinner before or after your ride. After cooking it, I found out it tasted terrible, and later learned that amberjack is not a fish most people eat because it can carry toxins and parasites. I felt completely misled. This kind of dishonesty makes it impossible to trust what they're selling--who even knows when the fish was caught or if it was fresh at all. If you want safe, quality seafood and honest advice, I'd recommend skipping the marina fishermen and going to a reputable seafood market instead. It's a shame, because I would have been a regular customer if they had been honest from the start.
