We are slowly walking into a post COVID world and Renew Massage completely lived up to its name. Specifically, Renew Massage was embodied by a wonderful masseuse named Tammy. She's a wonderful human as well. The front desk staff I interacted with were wonderful as well. The space is very comfortable and inviting. I arrived early and had 10-15 minutes to spend. The space is very calming and the vibe is mellow. This massage was all the things - pressure was a conversation we had, pain points noted, areas I didn't know were pain points were discovered, but not in an "oh hell" kinda way. I didn't specify a deep tissue massage and I'd imagine Tammy would not have classified it as such, but it was incredibly functional for me - it wasn't relaxing at all times, but a mixture. My body needed some smoothing out and Tammy delivered. I left feeling more relaxed and loose than I've felt in a long while. I will be booking repeat massages, as this massage was so nice. The room was calming. The check in and check out process was efficient without being too fast. The warm face towel at the end was brilliant - this massage was all the things.

With exactly one available appointment the very next day. My ailing shoulder screamed in fated anticipation. Roughly 18 hours later, I arrived at her calming, welcoming space in Lakewood. We started with a thorough consultation, where I informed her of previous masseuse attempts to fix my shoulder situation (resulting in multi-day muscle spasms--fun!), and then I settled in for the best massage I've received in a long time. Like I said, body magician. She knows how to find what ails you and ever-so-gently coax it to recover. After an hour of deep Swedish, I sat up feeling at least 70% better in the shoulder and 100% relaxed, soothed and devil-may-care everywhere else. Then, it got better. I highly recommend him if you're seeking a massage therapist in the Arvada/Golden area. Matt was thorough in analyzing not only my current health status, but also paid close attention to my overall health and activity history. He used this information to plan my treatment, and even advised that we break up my 90-minute session into two 45 minute sessions so that we can begin to properly address some if my issues. He also recommended (and later emailed references for) some great local yoga studios when I indicated I was in the market. This attention to detail and focus on patient well being is what separates the good from the great. The massage itself was firm and therapeutic. They don't take insurance, it really is just "to go" type of environment. They don't handle your personal profile (not a therapist), so if you are expecting massage for injury therapy or therapy for back issues this place isn't what you need. However, they do help you relax, they do a great massage. Many people come frequently that they do have a built in clients they know because of the frequency they see them. They also have a punch card and you can get a free massage. It's a great place, but my four stars is for those that may be seeking a more intimate, personal therapy place because this is not it.
