The sales representative was purposefully misleading in regard to the rebate as well as continuity of service, as well as cost of additions and repairs. The main issue is the property is not generating enough power to offset FPL meters. Solar Bear representatives assured us this would not be an issue and would provide additional panels at no cost, which they are now refusing to adhere to. We have been in contact with Solar Bear, providing our FPL bill, and they did agree we need an additional panel. As a homeowner, we added two panels out of pocket at $2k+, to ensure we were generating enough solar power. The issue has not been resolved with this addition. Our FPL bill is now at $200+, and our loan is still active with Solar Bear at +$200. We have continually attempted to contact Solar Bear, via email and phone calls. They are choosing to not review our contract and/or be responsible business owners. At this point in time, they have received over $56,000 in business from us as homeowners and have refused to attempt to resolve any issues with their service. They are in breech of contract and fraudulently advertising their business.

The installation was done well, per the city inspector. FloEnergy's customer service is terrible,…read morethough. If there are any issues at all, it takes 5+ phone calls to get it resolved. If they say they are coming to fix an issue, they don't right away. You have to call many times, get many promises, and finally it may eventually happen if you stay on top of it. Our system has been running for about a month, but the reporting through the Enphase computer isn't giving us any data on our usage, as we were promised. Apparently the system never got fully commissioned (per Enphase) and we were directed to FloEnergy as the installer. I called and spoke to our Project Manager, Jordan, on Feb 17th, 2023, and he promised to get someone out here on Feb 20th 2023, but even if he did, our system is still not reporting any usage. Between the cost of the system and what we pay Duke, we are paying more for electric than we were before. I didn't even bother leaving a message when the customer support line goes to VM. They never call back anyway. So if you go with FloEnergy, be prepared to hire an assistant to do any followup, because FloEnergy apparently doesn't have a customer service system in place. I mentioned it at least 2X that the customer service is a fail, in previous conversations with them, and I want this to work and be able to recommend them. But...I don't have time to be their customer service for them when their install isn't working. Supposedly our system is working despite no reporting being available. But I just have to take their word for it, at this point. Planning on getting solar? I recommend looking for a company that has their customer support system set up for all the issues that crop up after it's installed, and you're on the hook for a ton of money. I.e., not FloEnergy.

My experience with Flo Energy was so negative that I would never consider doing business with them…read more I have a clearly posted "No Soliciting" sign, yet one salesperson repeatedly knocked on my door after I had already chosen not to answer. About an hour later, a second salesperson approached me while I was actively mowing my lawn. I told him multiple times that I was not interested, but he ignored me and continued with his sales pitch. He even stood directly in front of my lawn mower, preventing me from continuing my yard work. I had to repeatedly tell him I wasn't interested, remind him about local solicitation laws, and eventually tell him I would report him to the police if he refused to leave my property. Even after that, he continued talking. I finally resumed mowing, and he stood there watching me for nearly 10 minutes, which was incredibly uncomfortable and inappropriate. This wasn't persistent salesmanship, it was a complete disregard for clear boundaries and a homeowner's right to say "no." A "No Soliciting" sign should be respected, and when someone tells your representatives they are not interested, the conversation should end immediately. My suggestion to Flo Energy is simple: invest in better sales training, especially around respecting consent, personal boundaries, and knowing when to leave someone's property. Based on these interactions, I would never trust this company with my home or my business.

I purchased a solar system from Greenhouse in December 2020 ($30k). At the time of purchase, I was…read moretold the number of panels I was buying would eliminate my electric bill by the end of the year and I would be able to sell back unused electric to TECO. This proved to be untrue. When I contacted the company about it a year later, they denied the original claim and instead told me I only had "Tier 1" coverage and would need to upgrade to eliminate my bill. In August 2025, I received an electric bill that showed no solar credits. I contacted Greenhouse and was told it would take three weeks (almost a month) before anyone could come out from Greenhouse just to inspect my system. When they finally did, they determined the inverter box was not functioning. They said they would order a replacement from Solar Edge and that would be about another 3 weeks and once they receive it I than would have to schedule installation. You are talking about a total of 3 months. SolarEdge, the manufacturer, confirmed that the inverter is covered under their 12-25 year warranty and agreed to send a replacement unit. However, Greenhouse then informed me they would charge me a service fee to install the warranty replacement. I objected because my system is less than five years old and should not require additional costs to replace failed components. Instead of resolving the issue, the manager suggested I call SolarEdge myself and have the replacement sent to my home, then find another installer. This has been a highly disappointing experience. Greenhouse misrepresented the system's capabilities, failed to provide timely service, and attempted to shift responsibility to me for warranty repairs. I would caution others to carefully review their contracts and be prepared for a lack of accountability from this company.

Simply stated, the worst experience with any vendor in my entire 70+ years on the planet. Because…read moreof their poor workmanship and unwillingness to resolve the problems they created, we had to hire a second solar company to take the entire system down, then hire a roofing company to remove the rotted wood the 8 leaks caused, then replace the roof and reinstall the system. All of this after begging them for 2 years to fix the leaks they caused which eventually resulted in our living room ceiling caving in on our brand new couch. Solar can be a great idea but Only if installed by a reputable company. This company should not be allowed to stay in business. Their ineptness cost us an additional $25,000. Unless you have deep pockets and love painful experiences, run from them.
