    Caribbean kale soup
    Noelle T.

Wow, amazing fresh and delicious food. Organic, highest quality produce and food. Ordered the mango creama smoothie with almond milk and kale-so good. The Caribbean kale soup was amazing- soft kale, sweet potato and coconut cream. Black bean burrito and guacamole both delicious. The guac was so good- haven't had guac out at a restaurant that fresh in a long time. The chips tasted homemade- yum. Zucchini bread was perfect. Friendly and helpful staff. It's part of the market and nursery there. A gem.

As Woodstock native I must say Sunfrost is as good as it gets. This quaint little farm stand is split into a juice bar cafe and a farmers market for grocery shopping. Come in the summer and sit outside near the gardens or stop by in the fall to see the spectacular Halloween carved pumpkin display. The juice bar and cafe have an amazing menu filled with fresh healthy made to order ingredients. Menu items not to miss: the breakfast burrito, deviled eggs, French toast, chicken cutlet pesto sandwich, cantaberry, raspberry shake, and the starburst juice. If I could eat here daily I would.

My friend and I had a yummy brunch at this quaint spot. The self serve coffee is solid and the food tasty. I ordered the salmon and egg scramble, served with black beans and toast. The eggs hit the spot and the beans surprised me with how flavorful they were. I'd definitely eat here again when visiting. My friend and I walked through the General store on the way to the dining area, and what a cute market! I can see why this spot is a favorite.

Great foods and drinks and some special things like power shots! Ginger, lemon, turmeric, cayenne, and black pepper in Hot water!! Yum! And lots of great vegetables and fruit and prepared foods. Don't miss their Halloween Display !!

My vegetable juice with mostly greens, ginger and lemon - awesome

Awesome spot! It's a grocery store, a plant store, a juice spot and a restaurant all in one. They have a ton of beautiful flowers, greens and herbs for sale. The store has a ton of local cheeses, baked goods, yummy healthy snacks. The juice bar is colorful and inviting. The menu on the wall is a bit confusing but the staff was helpful. For our breakfast we got enchiladas, cheese omelette and eggs with turkey bacon. I loved my cheddar cheese omelette and the sourdough toast. I also got a vegetable juice with mostly greens. It was such a pleasant breakfast outside. I will definitely come back and try their salads because all of them looked fantastic!

Y'all I cannot TELL you the quality and convenience that comes from Sunfrost. They are so efficient, so thorough, and so, so nice! Now, are they the fastest horse in the west? Eh. But it's worth the wait. If you've got a free morning/afternoon, and you'd like a nice little local place to go, I highly recommend. You'll be glad you went.

Tofu Scramble with kale and avocado

Dear Sunfrost Farms, I love your healthy food and my body does too! Cafe: I got the Green Chicken Enchiladas, my friend lives for the Green Vegetarian Enchiladas. There is a possibility that we would take payment in Sunfrost enchiladas--they're that good. That Carribbean Mocha thing. I don't know what the heck it was, but it was goooood! It was made with banana and it was all frothy and thick like a milkshake. Wow! Also, another time I got one of my favorite things, the Tofu Scramble which was hearty and filling. It comes mixed with your choice of vegetables that are available. I got mine with kale and avocado. Cha-ching I will work for tofu scramble too! Sides include potatoes, salad and your choice of bread. Burritos come packed vegetarian or with meat. The sides include tortilla chips and salad. All menu items can be made vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free. Store: The store seems tiny but seems to have everything you need. What I loved the most is that the arugula is grown on the property along with other vegetables sold in the store. The arugula was just how I like it, slightly spicy. The fresh meats are written on a board behind the counter so be sure to check it out. I tried the fresh snapper and the shrimp which were incredibly fresh and tasty. I probably would have gone to Sunfrost more, but they close by 6pm.

This place freakin rocks! The actual store is amazing. The produce is so super fresh. They have tons of other items to purchase like homemade apple sauce, spices, nuts and cheeses. Everything is Iocal or organic. Prices aren't that bad either! We had breakfast at the cafe behind the store. It was fantastic. Very casual, very tasty, very good quality! I had an omelette with feta, spinach, kale and tomato with a side of beans and turkey bacon. Everything tasted amazing. They have a special hot sauce - pineapple habanero....good lawd that stuff is great. They need to start selling that stat! Waitress was great. Coffee was fab. Overall excellent place.

    Kale Cakes! So delicious.

I have not been in this place for about 5years. I only knew as a organic market, to my surprise they have a great juice/ lunch bar. A vegan heaven!!! I'm not a vegan, but I could total become vegan if I had access to this kinda food in the city. Had a butternut/ pear soup, it was so delicious, kale cakes and vegan Shepard pie really good. So much tastier and you can taste each different veggies, very flavorful without the guilt! Not too expensive either. Friendly staff and looks like a lot of local people love it too. Wish there are more places like this in the city.

I love the hand lettered signage!

This is one of those, "oh snap, we've been coming to Woodstock for over two decades and didn't know…read moreGallo's was right here!" The dreadful 1-star reviews for this place didn't apply to us in any way, shape or form. We were about to go to a place our landscaping guys use in Kingston- but after purchasing a few things at the hardware store in town, the cashier suggested we come here for evergreens, perennials, etc. Pat (Mr Gallo himself I think) is the head honcho, and he knows a thing or two or three about plants. In fact, he gave us some pointers on the hydrangea bush we selected because I'm not familiar with that specific type. Thank you! The outside space has a nice variety of plants, shrubs and trees, pots, etc and the inside houses locally-made Adirondack chairs, gardening supplies, tools, etc. While Gallo's doesn't compare to those big box home stores with larger plant selections, Gallo's has enough to work with and it's a doable one-stop-shop for almost any plant need you could imagine. As a reminder, this place is seasonal- so get all your greenery soon if you need to spruce up your landscape because they'll close the Friday before Thanksgiving and reopen "around" Mother's Day. We purchased 6 lush and healthy, 5' arborvitaes and 2 hydrangea shrubs for our landscaping crew to pick up during the week and plant. Yeah...prices might be up there- but the way I see it is: why drive milesssss away to go to a corporate nursery, when I'm right here and want to support local??? To add, because Gallo's is wrapping up for the season soon, there's a 20% off on plants, shrubs and trees! Thank you again! We had no issues, service was helpful AND friendly. A visit here is essential for us. Plus, this was (and will be) a good spot to come if you're looking to grab batch deals towards the end of the season like we did or grab the latest in plants when they reopen in the Spring.

Shopped in Gallo's today for baby back ribs and of course purchased several other meat products…read more Options available at the meat counter are numerous and inviting. Service was friendly and efficient. Could not ask for more.

Walking inside, it's a different experience at Wright's Farm. This visit, I want to buy a bottle of local wine and some local cheese then go back to the hotel. I see there is a very nice selection of Hudson Valley and regional wines. I also buy a nice local, spreadable cheese along with some crackers. I noticed towards the back, I see a wall of homemade jams. And they're all packaged in these cute mason jars! Strawberry Jelly is a must but then we went a little nutzo with a few more jam flavors as well as homemade apple sauces, fresh cheeses and pickles! Sunday, its check out time and we're heading back to Long Island after breakfast. My wife said we need to go shopping for dinner today. I said, Let's go back to Wright's Farm and pick up dinner? And this was the highlight of our trip. In the cold cases, I see homemade ravioli, one of the stuffings was corn? I had plans to stop in The Bronx and get a few boxes of Raviolis. I gambled and said lets try their corn ravioli. O.M.G. This ravioli was fantastic! My wife made it with fresh sage from our herb garden. It was a little pricey but it was better than anything I had this year. For the week, we bought a large ham steak and a ham hock for pea soup. I saw something interesting, a black futsu squash? I told my wife, lets buy one and take a chance. Amazing! My wife cooked this squash and it came out deelish. Dessert? My sons inhaled the apple cider doughnuts we bought home for them. Wright's Farm, it was a pleasant surprise to discover your local farmstand.

Now that we're living in The Catskills, my quest to find that similar market prototype I grew to love in Westchester, continues. I had forgotten hubs and I came here before during one of our bi-annual trips to The Catskills. Recently though, when I searched for produce markets near work in Highland, Wallkill View in New Paltz popped up within a short driving distance. As you drive past all of New Paltz bustling shops and restaurants on Main St, you'll soon approach a sleepy farmland area overlooking Mohonk Preserve in about 5 or so minutes. I've been hard-pressed to find a market that tops my favorite one in Westchester and checks all the boxes. Wallkill View grows and sells a nice mix of produce the area has to offer. And when veggies and fruit aren't grown on-site or in season, they're sourced from elsewhere. Unlike other farm markets that operate only Sat+Sun, Wallkill V. is open everyday. Well...almost. These folks shut down for Christmas and throughout the winter- reopening in March. Prices are about $1 more than what I paid down in White Plains- but hey... I get it. Service is great though.
