Sunglass Hut is a $9 Billion dollar company. I am a 100% disabled vet with PSC aggressive cataracts in both eyes. Surgery on one also gave me double vision. I cant see in bright light and cant drive at night because of headlight blindness. I do not see well at all! My girlfriend noticed a scratch on my new glasses the first time I put them on. It rained for 2 days after I purchased them and also bought her a pair for Christmas, over $325, but neither of us had worn them due to the rain and clouds. AS SOON AS she said it we headed over to take them back. For three days I have gotten, "we are so sorry", we cant exchange them. We will let you buy another pair for half price. I paid $231.00 for the glasses. The singing and dancing manager said these are polycarbinate and they are very soft lenses, "they scratch easily". But he inferred that I scratched them, even though they were never out of the case! Rayban said they would replace the lenses in 6 to 8 weeks for $80. plus shipping. The company headquarters for Sunglass Hut echoed the same "sooooo sooorrrry, there is nothing we can do." They sent me an email if I wanted to complain. I did. Two days later I got the same response. Sunglass Hut doesnt dare belong to the Better Business Bureau, of course. Im screwed out of $231.00 A $35,000. per year income makes it tough when I need good pair of glasses and waited 3 years to replace my old ones. If you are disabled, a veteran, honest and not rich, do not shop at Sunglass Hut! they will blame you for a damaged product whether they did it or not! They are a $9 billion dollar company and wont replace a disabled vets glasses that I know I didn't scratch because they sat in my car on the console in the case! I asked the girl if they had a black pair in polarized, "I have blurred vision, polarized lenses help", she said no. The other guy, the "manager" appeared with a pair from inside a cabinet. They knew I couldn't see and sold them to me. The management is more interested in music and sales, than customer service. When you get told by three different management levels there is "nothing they can do" you should hear there is nothing we WILL do but take your money and take again after they sell you scratched glasses. Shameful! How much corporate profit is worth betraying your customers. Dont shop at Sunglass Hut. PLEASE DONT! The only reason they get one star is thats the only option. One finger would be better. I'd never been inside a SH before, so I have nothing to compare it to from that end,but my experience here was awesome. We unknowing came in 5 min before they were closing, but they didn't kick us out, just made sure we had all the help we needed. The staff managed to be helpful & attentive without being overbearing, and encouraged me to stay as long as I wanted. Found the perfect pair and got them, and was super appreciative that they stayed until I was ready. Can't wait to wear my new shades! read more

there was one girl that worked there that was so so so so beautiful and stylish. of course the other two workers were as well, but omg that beautiful employee made me want to come back! ahah. she was extremely nice and accommodating, and helped me to pick frames that fit my face well. i finally bought the ray-bans i've been eyeing for a long time, and i'm so glad i bought them from sunglass hut which has a great return policy (60 days i believe) and a year warranty if they get scratched or something. and a lifetime warranty on changing the fit! love! will be back :D read more

I took them in hoping they had some kind of magic to fix it, nope, they exchanged it for a new pair, for FREE! You have 90 days to exchange your purchase, no questions asked! WOW is all I have to say in regards to the extravagant customer service that I received last Friday (06/28). I went into the shop really just scoping things out, I love a good designer frame when I see one. I was trying to decide between the Gucci, Burberry, and the Prada frames. While I was trying the frames on the associate Brandon came over to me and he asked me "Are you looking for a more casual or a more out on the town look" I then told him that I was looking for a pair of sunglasses that would literally make people shocked and ask me where did I get those from. After a wonderful sales pitch and fitting and GREAT and VERY HELPFUL fashion advice I decided on the Gucci shades. I just want to say about my whole experience, I was utterly taken aback by the hospitality, compassion, and the professionalism of Brandon. He made it seem like this was his calling and that he knew exactly what he was talking about (which he does very well). Brandon defiantly should be a manager for this company because he is so personable and down to earth. If I myself owned my own company I would have Brandon running my company. I did purchase two Maui Jim sunglasses at this location, and the staff was extremely helpful. But this review is more for the Maui Jim company/brand: After a year or so, both sunglasses were in need of some service; broken arm, scratched up & broken frame, etc. I had filled out online forms detailing what I needed and prepaid accordingly. A few days later, I actually got a call back from them saying the one I had paid for was actually going to be covered under warranty, and they also communicated the others had some lens damage and really should be replaced. Basically what I got back were two brand new pairs of sunglasses: Two new frames (with new nose pieces that were missing prior), a set of new lenses on one pair, and they even included new cases and cloth wipes for both -- with no increase in net cost (that I had already expected to pay just for one new frame). Their attention to detail, customer communication & resolution earns them an A+ in my book. read more

I'm not a proactive yelper, but I wanted to leave a review for this sunglass hut location because of Maria and Eddy. My boyfriend and I were browsing for sunglasses for him and we have checked out a lot of different sunglass stores before. We've also been here in the past but never purchased anything bc the workers there during our prior visits weren't really providing any kind of service. However, during our last visit a few days ago, we were not expecting to receive the most welcoming, awesome, and customer friendly service when Maria and Eddy were working. They are such awesome individuals and constantly asked what we were looking for, constantly checking their inventory just to make sure they weren't providing inaccurate info to us. I didn't even intend on purchasing anything for myself here but I ended up buying myself a pair of sunglasses on top of one for my bf because of their excellence in customer service. I had a very upsetting experience at the Sunglass Hut in the Carlsbad Outlets. I had purchased a pair of Ray Bans there on Sept 5th 2013. As per their 90 Day Look Good Feel Good No Hassle exchange policy I returned to the same store today, 11/25/13 with original receipt in hand to exchange the sunglasses. The sales representative, who identified herself as Tania, refused to exchange my sunglasses stating that they looked to be too old and dirty to have been purchased 30 days ago. She publicly accused me of lying despite the receipt that proved otherwise. She also claimed to be the manager but when I called the store later asking for the manager's name Juliana Diego was identified as the manager. My receipt matched the sun glasses I was showing her and proved that I bought them there less then 30 days ago! I was pretty offended. I do not need to be insulted by strangers when shopping for Ray Bans. I will not be returning to this store location. read more
