I've been going to Eyeglass World for years but after today I won't be going back. The exam part…read morewas fine but after I selected 2 pairs of frames to purchase with my new prescription, I told the person attending me that I wanted all the same things I had gotten previously and she quoted me over $1200 dollars and $45 for my exam. I told her that seemed awfully high even after my 10% military discount which she didn't seem happy about me mentioning. She told me one pair wasn't eligible for any discount as they were safety glasses. I showed her a card I received in the mail and she told me I wasn't eligible for it. I told her I would be paying for the exam and wouldn't be purchasing any glasses. I also told her with my insurance last time I only had to pay $19 for exam. She told me the eye x ray was an additional $20 which at my ophthalmologist was covered by my health insurance. She deducted that and told me I owed $20. I feel like I was being ripped off today. Why do I even have to ask why I was being charged so much higher than last time. My insurance was the same as before and with me going there for many years I was treated horribly. It was just a horrible experience overall and no reason was given to me as why she couldn't or wouldn't assist me in getting a fair price, she didn't even try. Like I said the last time I was there the young man who assisted me when out of his way to help me get a fair and reasonable price but this time I felt like they don't care anymore and that will be their future downfall.

Your sophisticated branding and marketing raised the bar for me, making me expect a premium experience. Today, I learned firsthand that it is all a total lie. For two weeks, I was bombarded with automated reminders threatening that a five-minute delay would forfeit my appointment. I respected your time and arrived 15 minutes before the doors opened for the first slot of the day. You, however, showed absolute contempt for mine and wasted my entire morning dealing with pure incompetence. When booking, I explicitly provided my insurance on the form offered once the appointment was set. Yet, your staff claimed they couldn't find my policy (even though they found my husband), who is a dependent on my plan. Instead of doing their jobs and making a quick call to verify, your staff stood there lazily watching the clock, then had the unmitigated gall to tell me my time had passed and I needed to reschedule. Your system failed, but my morning is ruined? The audacity is staggering. The second I got to my car, I called my insurance provider. They confirmed my full coverage in minutes. They were so appalled by your store's behavior that they called your corporate line themselves, because your specific location wouldn't even answer the phone.
