The place is cute and has a nice selection of flip flop, tees, boards, etc. People that work there are friendly and helpful. My gripe is with the bathing suit selection for women, and surf attire in general. They don't carry any functional bikini tops! Everything is a triangle that rushes on the bottom that 1. Will move around in the water so you can be flashing everyone and 2. Will hurt your sternum if you're surfing for longer than 20 minutes. Anything with beads, ties, other lumpy textures in the front of bathing suits is painful when you're on your front paddling. Just saying. Everything looks like surf fashion but I was hoping for actual useful surf stuff. Not many powertops or shorties for when it gets a little chilly either :-/ read more

Horrible customer service and policies. My son got gifted a bracelet and wore it once and the beads snapped off. We obviously didn't have a gift reciept as it was from his friend and they refused to replace or exchange it without a reciept. Save yourself and go to Blueline. :) read more

They have an excellent selection of boardshorts, hats and shirts for men. They also have a solid selection of new and used boards. I bought a small beater style board for gnarly shorebreak, but it didn't hold wax and was stiff. They actually took it back with a minor restocking charge since I used it. I can't think of any other surfshop that would do that. They have a good selection of olukai shoes and my daughter loves to shop there. All surfshops have a too-cool vibe, but this one really doesn't. read more

I have been coming here for over 25 years. I live in Michigan and buy stuff from Ocean Magic every time I'm in town, 2-3 times a year. When I was down in January I picked up a bunch of new clothes, but to my mistake I didn't try on everything. When I came back in February I tried exchanging 2 shirts. Not returning, just exchanging. I talked with Don on the phone and of course he remembered me. But insisted on taking 25% the purchase price b/c I didn't still have my receipt. I reiterated that I came down from Michigan and did not save my receipt. He basically accused me of trying to return merchandise purchased at a sale price for full price. Yes Don, that was my plan all along. Be a loyal customer for over 25 years in order to pull off a scam to make $20. Great customer appreciation. I will never come back. Large shop with solid of selection of boards, top-brand men's/women's/"little surfer" clothing, sunglasses, fins, board bags, footwear, etc. and there is a skate shop area. Been surfing for 40 years and their customer service speaks volumes... and that is why it's my new go-to shop. read more

This was my first and only time going to this tragic surf shop. I was in from out of town and someone recommended I stop by here to check out there selection of boards and see if they could help me out with a few things. There was an older gentleman working who could not have been more rude or unhelpful. I felt that since I was not a local I was not deemed worthy of being treated with any respect. Ive waited a few weeks to even post this thinking I would just get over it but still every time I think about how i was treated i get annoyed and finally caved in. This is definitely one of my favorite surf shops it's certainly not commercial like ron John's needs someone has taken a bunch of time and concern to pick out all the items there. Although they have some local T-shirts there all the T-shirts and products are extremely high-quality and unique and you will not be able to easily at other places He sides having a lot of neat objects they have an awesome staff that was extremely helpful not only to me but my wife and my little kids especially with trying on stuff and taking stuff out of the cabinet everyone was very nice. Additionally my two little kids left two iPads in the store during afternoon we didn't even realize they were missing until the store was closed. sure enough I called the next morning and the staff had taken them and happily held them aside and were waiting for us to contact him and we are extremely happy to see that they were there and they were holding for us!! Also additionally one of the other things I noticed is that they almost change the front of the store and the arrangements of the clothing that they show in the front window almost on a daily basis which is pretty cool considering that they always have a high inventory of new products coming through the store. I have also noticed that the two of the only negative reviews of the shop or obviously made up reviews by people that only have one or two reviews anyway if you read it carefully it's clearly maybe a competitor somebody that has some other issue but if you look at people like myself that review a bunch of places and are legitimate you'll see the display stands above the rest. read more

This place has a huge selection of equipment if you are into surfing, with tons of boards. It also carries a full line of accessories, swimwear, sandals, and other equipment. They do not carry any windsurfing equipment unfortunately but few places do. read more

This store used to be a great store and we used to shop here ALL THE TIME until they stopped stocking on items worth buying. Ocean magic had the same stuff in there forever and it wasn't even good. Their clothes are sub-par and aren't worth wearing. I didn't go back for several months and just visited today and guess what? GOT KICKED OUT!!!! The owner, who loved us since we were among the "top buyers" didn't even say hello as we walked in. I felt very uncomfortable during my experience and I knew he was upset with us due to our prolonged period of absence. My younger brother taped on a skimboard with his knuckles to test how hard or sturdy it was. The owners response: HEY!!!!!!! take yourselves outside...your out!!! I asked what did he do?!?! and he(the owner) refused to respond and told us again to GET OUT!!!!!!! Sadly, due to this horrible experience WE WILL NO LONGER BE CUSTOMERS and are talking to our attorney to fix this matter. I regret every penny I gave to this unfriendly, unappreciative, rude man. I had no problem with the other staff or his sisters business. She will be getting my money from this period on. read more
