I bring my kids here weekly since school started, especially my 4 year old. She loves the "apple donuts" we don't know donut names at all. We got in there today and thought we saw them so we excitedly asked "are those the Apple ones?" The lady answered saying a flip or something and I went "with the Apple filing?" And she stared at me and rudely said "I'm helping this lady first" because she was checking someone out. I apologized as we were just excitedly asking. She then stood at the register and shook her head, rolling her eyes and muttering under her breath as I stood right there with my 4 year old. She was extremely rude but her attitude changed the second another lady came from the back. My husband and I were visiting Sioux City and we decided on donuts this am. I read the reviews and went here. We got there before 9. There was a very small selection. The lady in front of me was very disappointed that they were out of the cherry fritter (I also wanted one of those!). So I chose an apple fritter, cake donut w/ pink frosting, raspberry filled long john and a chocolate Bavarian cream. The cake donut was quite tasty but the filled was stale. Seriously dry. The filling was nice. Now the real disappointment was the Bavarian cream filled had very little cream inside. I could see the hollow cavity with such a small amount filling! I was hoping that my husbands fritter was good but it was also dry and no apples at all! On a good note they weren't expensive. I'm bummed we had a bad experience there because there are so many positive reviews. read more

This is an old-school bakery that makes donuts (not fancy) well. When you get them fresh, there's nothing better. Don't expect gourmet. These are no-frill glazed, long johns, apple fritters, etc. I'm sure that they supply donuts to area businesses as well. I like their products (donuts, danish, pecan rolls, etc. The only problem is that they don't have all products for sale on a consistent basis.
