I gave the company another chance for my next inspection, where a different technician completed the job in under half an hour, assuring me everything was okay. However, after moving in, I found that the water line is missing its metal lid, the HVAC system was missing a pump that caused a flood in my basement and I had to hire a plumber for drainage issues. After spending $2,300 total with "Eagle Inspection", I realized I should have invested in inspection training instead. When I contacted the company about my concerns, I was promised a callback but never received one. I wouldn't recommend this company unless you already have inspection knowledge.

We used Harper for our home inspection a few years ago when we purchased our home, as our agent…read morerecommended them. We've had a number of issues with our house after settling and moving in. I wish that a few things had been caught by Harper, but we ended up having to spend thousands of dollars on repairs and replacements that we were not expecting. I originally gave Harper a 5 star review after we moved in, but as the repairs kept adding up in the months right after we settled, I deleted my review, as leaving bad reviews is not the typical sort of thing I do. But now that we're looking at selling this house that we've completely redone and buying a new home, our broker encouraged us to rewrite this review. On the day we moved in, the items that were in our home that were not brought to our attention during the home inspection that needed replaced were - the previous owner of the home cemented over our curb trap and the sewer line was backed up all the way to the house, the sump pumps were not working properly, the water heater was broken, the HVAC unit had a burned out panel, the microwave had a broken vent, and the dishwasher was missing a kickplate. In addition to these, Harper did not bring a ladder to the home inspection to check the roof, and there was a snow storm a few days later. In order for us to get the roof looked at before buying the home Harper came back and simply flew a drone above the house to take pictures of a snowy roof. While purchasing the home and finding out within a year that the entire roof needed to be replaced for $9,000 was our mistake, it would have really saved us time, money and exhaustion to know the state of the roof when we moved in. Now that we're selling and moving, the next owners of our home will benefit from our expenses, frustration, and labor, but the past several years have been unnecessarily stressful due to home repairs. We would have benefited so much by not using the recommendation from our agent. While Harper is personable and professional, our experiences in home repairs over the past several years could have been mitigated with a more accurate home inspection.
