Our only regret in hiring John Brady with Brady Property Services is that we didn't find and hire…read morehim sooner. John gave us a competitive estimate in mid-2022 to renovate a hallway and half bath - a project delayed by budgets and the pandemic for about 4+ years. We set a start date of early January 2023 and John began his work. We found John and his colleague to be extremely professional, prompt and thoughtful in their work. What's more - John asked questions and verified details with us as he went. There was no assuming what we might want, and he offered helpful ideas and recommendations. Working in a fairly tight space, John and his colleague were respectful of the fact that I work from home and, although construction noise is unavoidable when tearing down walls and what have you, they were not intrusive or blasting loud music as they worked. I sincerely appreciated their professional manner and dress because my mother lives with us and I am keenly aware of how strangers in the house might make her feel uncomfortable. They were so polite and respectful of her and my family. That cannot be said of all contractors. Now, the work quality: I'd rate it excellent or better. John took great care to ensure the quality of the work and materials would meet or exceed our expectations. He even found a better solution for some cabinets for us that matched the style we wanted without impacting the budget. The drywall work was excellent. He managed to match and/or mirror some intricate moldings to exactly what we hoped for. John also stayed late once or twice because he wanted to make sure the quality of the work was also up to his high standards. Prior to hiring John, we had another company work on a basement renovation. The comparison was like night and day. The company handling the basement took too long, cost too much and the quality of both the work and the workers was not good. Brady Property Services was a study in contrasts with John's work completed in a timely manner, staying within a reasonable budget and producing outstanding quality in the work itself. We have more projects to complete, and John will now be our first call for all of them. I highly recommend him.

After hearing that our friend had a great experience, we decided to work with Eagle Inspections…read moreourselves for our first-time homebuying process. We had the opportunity to work with Chris in our property. The entire process was seamless, from booking an appointment, the invoice, and the day-of procedure. Chris arrived early to capture the exterior documentation (i.e., front/back entrances, roof, facade) and greeted my partner and I with warmth and good humor. We examined each part of our future home, and Chris was very helpful with answering our questions and sharing context when weren't familiar with certain issues. It's clear he was knowledgeable and reassured us that we would be in good hands on closing day. After the inspection, you receive an in-depth report with assessments on the areas of improvement, concerns, and general status reports. I think he did a great job "looking for trouble," keeping us notified of how to be proactive should any maintenance is needed. Eagle Inspections was great to work with, and should definitely be considered in any home-buying process.

I recently had two disappointing experiences with my "first time home buying" inspection service…read more The first inspection for the new home indicated everything was fine, but after taking my contractor he discovered serious electrical and roofing issues, leading to my cancellation and a loss of $1,000. I gave the company another chance for my next inspection, where a different technician completed the job in under half an hour, assuring me everything was okay. However, after moving in, I found that the water line is missing its metal lid, the HVAC system was missing a pump that caused a flood in my basement and I had to hire a plumber for drainage issues. After spending $2,300 total with "Eagle Inspection", I realized I should have invested in inspection training instead. When I contacted the company about my concerns, I was promised a callback but never received one. I wouldn't recommend this company unless you already have inspection knowledge.

I was referred to this company by my friend who's a contractor and since then he's pulled his…read morebusiness from them and now I personally understand why. This company has delivered one of the worst customer experiences of any business I've ever dealt with and I'm not new to this. I hired and paid over $2000 in fees to VHI for inspections and HUD certification. My email to the owner Catherine Hall that I sent yesterday afternoon with all of these points has yet to be responded to so I'd like to warn all of you to stay away from this company as they are unprofessional, unresponsive, inept, and at best careless if not fraudulent in their billing practices. Here's just a few of the items I dealt with. 1. they charged me the wrong amount on the last two invoices and I had call them out on both with not an apologetic response by them but a an ignorant annoyed why are you asking these questions before they fixed it(i'm hoping they send the refund promised 2. at least 3 times they submitted the wrong paperwork and multiple times they submitted pictures to my bank of someone else's property in the documentation. 3. they gave me bad information on what the bank required and multiple times the bank had to come back and say that's not true we don't need that or no it won't take 30-45 days for that it will only take 2-3 4. they lied to my wife about final inspections being good after being asked twice and days later insisted on they had to come back out and charge me for the last inspection so that the inspector could "flush the toilet". Even a video of the toilet flushing wouldn't do so that incurred another travel and inspection charge 5. they were unresponsive and over the 9 months I dealt with them i have a number of important emails they just plain didn't respond to for days until I had to chase them down on the phone to get a simple answer or for them to do their job 6. I requested a change order be placed they asked me for paperwork with i immediately responded with and they never placed the change order. One more ball drop which on the last day of loan expiration (3 months later) they said they would rush to do what they were supposed to do 3 months prior and they'd only have to charge me $200 for another inspection and "change order fee". After this I told the bank I'll pay whatever I need to out of pocket I'm not giving VHI another dime and I don't want to see them on my property again. Trust me stay away from this company this may be the only bad review I've ever taken the time to write in my life. I don't expect much but integrity and professionalism was non existent in this process with them STAY AWAY!!!
