I had a guest that had already been left by one taxi company, so I turned to Checker. I was assured that a cab would arrive within 10-15 minutes. It is now 45 minutes later, and Checker has still not arrived. This guest was running late for her flight due to the first cab's mishap, and this was relayed to Checker. To have a guest cry in my lobby due to the unpressional actions of another company is incredibly frustrating. Will no longer use this service, and will discourage guests from using them as well.

Once we got to destination given a larger amount then told if we did not pay they would call cops for no pay. We said call.. As we are very willing to pay but not the amount they indicated. He is a safe driver, with spotless vehicles, but best of all, such a pleasant gentleman to ride with. When the driver eventually showed up, he blamed it on the dispatcher for writing down the wrong time. Either the driver or the dispatcher was lying, but either way I won't be calling Northway Taxi again - I had a bus to catch out of town and almost missed it.

The dispatcher was friendly and efficient. My taxi came EXACTLY at the time I'd reserved it for and he was friendly as could be. No meter, and I'm sure I was up-charged, but it was a pleasant experience.

I shared the ride with another person who was going to the same place and in total my trip was very affordable. The driver was friendly and the car was modern. I also like that they email or text your receipt. I prefer Prestige car service over the taxi booths in front of the Albany Rensselaer station. I wish those folks had a yelp page because I have a critical review for them. They charged me $39 from the station to the hotel and it was a shared ride with another person too! Their paper receipts were also ambiguous too. Anyways, I don't want to spend too much time talking about a different taxi service since my review here is mainly about Prestige car services. Overall, I just want to say that for an area where Uber and lyft are nonexistent, thank you for making the cab experience decent and less stressful for me.
