Employees in the middle of the day with locked door and "system is down" sign
David G.

In the middle of the day tried to come here and they just had a sign on the door that said "system down". All of the doors were locked to the store even though there were employees inside. When I went to ask them a question (getting gas) the employee with headphones in tapped the sign and said "can't you read". Then turned around and ignored me trying to ask them a question about the gas meter. Totally ridiculous behavior.

After the renovations, I love this place. They have everything in the drink fridge that your heart may desire. Very busy, and rightly so!

So Wawa is the best! This location is the first stop out of Philly into Jersey for us every single…read moretime. Today was no different. Red eye flight and needing breakfast at about 7ish. Not too busy on a Tuesday morning. Sizzli hot box semi full. Got my normal Pork Roll, egg and cheese on a bagel and a large iced salted caramel cold brew. We pay and eat in the car before heading over the bridge. My coffee was horrible. Bitter. My Sizzli Bagel, even thought it was hot and looked like a beautiful sight to my eyes, my taste buds said otherwise. This sandwich had a weird off taste. Pork Roll is my go to breakfast meat! Love the stuff. Not today. I ate the top of the bagel and threw the rest away. Coffee wasn't much better. Wawa what's happening to you?

Or let's make them all family bathrooms - gender neutral and big enough for a parent and several kids. It was a tight squeeze for me to use the small stall. Couldn't fit my wheelchair all the way in, which meant no closing the stall door. Yes the chair blocks part of the view and provides SOME privacy, but why should it be susceptible that people who use wheelchairs should have to accept a lesser privacy level than able-bodied people? Especially when wheelchairsxare forced into these situations so frequently because people without mobility aids are in the sccessible stall? Im glad I wasn't hurt, transferring to the toilet, by banging my hip on the toilet paper dispenser or something. That's just luck and practice though. If you have to pee really bad. Take your chances, but otherwise avoid.

Wawa on the historic mile in Philadelphia, right near the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall, is…read moreone of the larger stores in the chain and covers a lot of ground for what it is. I walked into a space that felt big, well stocked, and surprisingly comprehensive: a bakery, a coffee bar, a full hoagie counter, and a convenience store all under one roof. The ordering process took some figuring out. Food is ordered at a touchscreen kiosk, paid for at the register, and then picked up at a separate counter. Drinks are handled independently from food as well. None of it felt intuitive as a first timer, and there was not much in the way of signage or staff guidance to walk me through the flow. I found myself standing around more than once trying to figure out where to go next. Wait times for prepared food became a real issue during the lunch rush. I waited over 25 minutes for a simple hoagie, and I noticed others around me had been waiting even longer. For a convenience store setup, a 20 to 35 minute wait is longer than you would expect. If you are in a hurry or working around a tight schedule, that is worth factoring in before you commit to a hot food order. The store itself is clean and the product selection is solid. Fountain drinks, coffee, pastries, and a full convenience store selection give you enough options to cover most situations.

Very cool and large Wawa. Prolly the biggest I've been in. I was visiting Philly for a day, and…read moreafter I saw the Liberty Bell, I needed a coffee and some carbs. Lo and behold, this Wawa was across the street, blending in with all the surrounding historic sites. Fortunately the inside was very modern and well organized. There were several large coffee stations with tons of different flavors of coffee and creamer. There was also a bakery section where I was able to pick up a packaged croissant that was surprisingly soft, fresh, and delicious. Only drawback was I sat at a table that was pretty gross, so housekeeping could use a boost. Otherwise, good visit!
