This is my local gas station, and regretfully so. Often, a good handful of the 16 pumps are unavailable for use for one reason or another. Sometimes they don't even mark them as unavailable or broken, and you find out only after going all the way through the pre-fill process. In the warmer months, you can find folks out here offering to re-rack your gas pump so that they can not fully re-rack it and then invite their friends to fill up on your card. Do be careful and only return your pump yourself, no matter how friendly the offer. The 7-Eleven itself is slightly below average in cleanliness, and honestly I haven't checked it out that much because I'm too wary of leaving my car unattended when I come here to fill up on my own. Will I still come here to fill up? Yes, since the alternative for me is going out to West Philadelphia and this is good enough. But not a great place to go if you can avoid it. read more

In the middle of the day tried to come here and they just had a sign on the door that said "system down". All of the doors were locked to the store even though there were employees inside. When I went to ask them a question (getting gas) the employee with headphones in tapped the sign and said "can't you read". Then turned around and ignored me trying to ask them a question about the gas meter. Totally ridiculous behavior. read more

Sunoco Gas Station 2201 Walnut Street Philadelphia, PA 19103 Only left one star so I could leave revue. I stopped at this gas station last night Nov. 26, 2024 to get gas. All the pumps were disabled but a few. Finally got to pull up to one that was open and this kid came over and wanted to help, I told him I did not need any help. He kept hanging around and somehow I thought I had hung up the gas pump but he pulled a fast one on me and said he would help me close my gas tank lid. He was distracting me and evidently stopped my hanging up the gas pump. Long story short the gas station scammed me out of $175. When I got home I noticed the charge on my charge card. When I called the gas station this morning he said this always happens because a gang of boys come and take over the gas station and the policeman were not there last night. This gas station needs to be closed down. Where are the security cameras and where are the warnings and they do not care. Why is Sunoco allowing this gas station to continue to operate. Am hoping somehow I will get my money back as soon as it clears then I can put in a complaint. DO NOT GO TO THIS GAS STATION. read more

It's an average gas station with a mediocre mini-market. The only reason I return to this place is that they have a Subway. This Sunoco is located in a nice area with shops nearby. It is conveniently located near Rittenhouse Square, The Schuylkill trail and 30th Street Station. The only reason I prefer this place over other gas stations is that they have a Subway. It is just like a regular one with the fresh ingredients and good sandwiches. They don't really have a sit down area though. The gas here is a bit pricey, but at least they got rid of the TVs, which used to be loud and annoying. read more

I only pushed a One star so I can leave a review when all reality this location needs a renovation of staff and all!! I work doin instacart several days a week and most times I'm traveling to center city to make a drop off(delivery). With it being limited gas stations in the area I usually visit this location to get gas and or a snack. This Sunday 4/21/2024 around 4pm I stopped by the location for gas and snacks. When paying for my items u was told the card machine was down and needed to use cash. My job reimbursement are given for gas so I have to make a debit card transaction so I opted to get gas at the pump instead. I managed to pay for my gas at the pump but needed a receipt for proof of my purchase. It says to get receipt from cashier. As I approach the door, I'm met by a line of people where the doors are locked and the cashier was outside the store collecting trash bags from trash cans while customers are trying to pay for gas, get snacks etc. This cashier tells us the store is closed at 4pm( excuse me)Anyway I ask the cashier for my receipt he says the machine is broke no receipts are printing. This is unacceptable customer service. I will never stop here again. Management needs to make big improvements read more

Fairly expensive gas from pumps that have televisions blasting you with commercials at high volume. Moderately priced compared to other places in the same area. Hard to get in and out, there's always traffic. But close to the train station, so if you're returning a rental car, it's right there... read more

Open 24 hours on Walnut makes this the place to go for late night gas or a snack. While it can get some pretty creep customers in there from time to time, it is always well lit and from what I've seen... it is a pretty safe part of the city. I actually can't think of another gas station close to this place that is open all the time. It's handy to get gas here before you hit the highway also. read more

Having this business in the neighborhood makes me feel like I'm not sacrificing suburban conveniences for my urban life. They have the Sunday NYT when no one else does and also have big tanks of propane when the rest of the city is out. And, they're open all hours, they're well lit, making the block feel safer. The staff has been more than gracious, even back when I wasn't a regular. And even more so once they know you. The coffee is not tasty at all but that's not what they're there for. It's highly caffeinated so if that's what you need, you've got it. read more

Here's the thing; I know I shouldn't expect much from a coffee station at a Gas station, but the coffee they have here is actually pretty good! The main problem is that the half and half that they have in the machines is always either empty or thick yellow disgusting and rancid. Rotten half and half in coffee is disgusting. This is a standard gas station with a half decent mini mart. The only problem is the company it brings to the neighborhood. From kids asking to pump your gas to the homeless to the seriously Jerry Springer-esque drama, I really don't like living across the street from this place. read more

The pumps have TVs that are loud and spit out useless information on them. You think... "I'm pumping gas, I don't need to hear advertisements for useless stuff that I don't need." Oh... but you will. I guess they also tell you the weather which is nice... Ugh... Well, maybe they're okay. I don't know. I live across the street and alway hear them power washing the pavement near the pumps to keep things clean. That's a plus. The pumps always seem to be in good working order and the store seems to be clean as well. I've only had to purchase something in the store once. I needed some engine coolant for my car, and while overpriced, it was a convenient place to get it. The only downside is that the pumps can get pretty busy at rush hour or other high volume times. There's always a ton of cabs too. The price of gas isn't much different outside of the city... unless you're from NJ. read more

Walked into store today. Noticed that there was a customer in the store without a mask. I looked at the doors. It clearly states thst masks must be worn in the store. I said something to 2 different workers in the store. Neither wanted to tell the customer that she need to put on a mask. So I asked for thr manager. He was outside cleaning. I told him he has a customer in the store with no mask. He said to me she can see the signs and he is not goung to argue with anyone about it. These are some of the reasons we are not getting rid of this pandemic. People not enforcing government mandates and letting these idiots witout masks parade around spreading the virus. read more

Okay, they don't have diesel which my Waste Veggie Oil car requires for start up but they do have the best air pump in the city. It is ALWAYS fully functioning and has a pressure gauge. Hitting the numerous potholes our lovely city offers up my rear tires seem to regularly have the wind knocked out of them. For my fellow car newbs look for proper inflation guides on the door panel on the drivers side. I actually hold the hose in place with my foot while pumping as this one is retractable and is always trying to get away from me. ha! i came here thinking for sure i'd be the first person to review some dang sunoco in the middle of philly. but no! this place rocked. i have never reviewed a gas station convenience store before, but am compelled to do so. went in for a water while i waited out the parking restrictions on walnut street, and nicest freaking guy ever behind the counter (who apologized for the bullet-proof glass - no biggie dude) was just chatting away, friendly as can be. asked about my night, told me about his. not what i expect in philly, where the 'tude can usually be scraped off the walls. he was so nice, i thought for a second he was hitting on me, but then he would have been hitting on my mom too, which would have been kind of weird. anyhoo. very well-lit, pretty decent selection, the coffee looked pretty inviting on a freezing cold night, and the place was really clean. and open late, if not 24 hours. if i was in college and needed a late-night anything, i'd be here in a heartbeat. only bummer is the "necessity" stuff all seemed locked away in a cabinet, so if you need like a late-night condom, or a tampon, well, that might be slightly embarrassing, but i guess in that case you'd likely be drunk, so you wouldn't care. read more

Very convenient Center City gas station. They have many pumps so generally I never have to wait around to be able to pump. I'm also surprised at how good the prices are being that there aren't many gas station in Center City and there prices are pretty competitive even when compared to the gas stations in the suburbs. read more

I made the mistake of taking my daughter to the store at this location before school. There was an absolutely miserable elderly woman who was stocking shelves mumbling racial remarks and expressing dissatisfaction about doing her job. I took great offense and my eight-year-old daughter who loves everybody was equally offended and sad wonderingwhy this woman did not like her. I just left from here, I paid for $35 worth of regular gas. I paid cash. My tank is on E with no gas. The pump stops it's self at $25 and will not continue. I go in to tell the cashier who then passes the buck to the manager "Ifan." As I tell him what has happened he acts as if I caused the problem and is very rude. He finally figured out how to add the remaining $10 to the pump so I can finish pumping what I paid for. After getting into the car and starting it, the gas gauge needle only goes to the 1 quarter mark. The vehicle is a 2016 Nissan Rogue with a 18 gallon gas tank. For $2.89 a gallon, I pumped what I thought was 12 gallons into the car. I should have way more than a quarter tank. I present this to the manager "Ifan" who at this point is very rude to me. He did not offer and help or a solution. Do not go to this gas station if you want to be ripped of. I've reported this gas station to the state and filed a complaint with Sunoco corporate office. read more

Is there an option for 1/16 star? Went to pump gas; I drove up to one of many pumps, great so far. As usual, inserted my CC and input all the unnecessary info requested. I reached over to grab the pump nozzle; FACKING nozzle is missing. So, I moved my car to another pump and went through 20 questions and the pump rejected my CC. I went inside to let the clerk know what was going on with my CC. While inside, I figure I let her know about the missing nozzle and maybe put a note on the pump so that other customers wouldn't waste time. The clerk said, she knew the missing pump nozzle and said, "I DON'T NEED TO DO ANYTHING BECAUSE CUSTOMERS SEE THE MISSING PUMP." I said, your time is valuable but your customer time is just as valuable. I just wasted my breath and my valuable time on this lazy heavyset person doing nothing behind the counter. I've been going to this gas station for 4 years. I will never go there again and spend my money. AGAIN, I GIVE 1/16 STAR read more

After the renovations, I love this place. They have everything in the drink fridge that your heart may desire. Very busy, and rightly so!

Very friendly staff. Place is always clean. Joe is always extremely helpful! I come back because of him mainly but also everyone else. Great having a sunoco a plus in the neighborhood. Keep up the good work guys!!! read more
