I was nervous, actually talking to a realtor about my future goals and what I was specifically looking for. Lisa put me at ease, almost immediately after meeting her. We discussed my needs/wants in a home, location requirements, and the typical home buying process (of which I was mostly clueless, except for my HGTV obsession....she gave me paperwork to look over, as she explained thoroughly). She entered my wants/needs into a search engine and I received emails as new listings popped up that fit my criteria. She suggested that I get preapproved for my loan, so if something came up where there could be a lot of competition, I'd have a slight edge. Fortunately, that didn't come into play, but it did take a few months for the perfect place to pop up. Lisa didn't pressure me at all to pick something, she didn't harass me when I got stressed out about other stuff and stopped actively looking. I guess she just knew that I'd come around when the time was right and when the right home showed up in the listings. Once that happened, she helped to make the process of home buying as painless as possible. Too many corners cut!!…read more I hired Roman Lopez to find a tenant for the rental house I just bought. The very first application they received they sent to me - the guy declared his income to be $0, and when I questioned it, they said that they talked with him and that he was a web developer that just sold his company. I reluctantly agreed, since I wanted the place rented ASAP. Big mistake - the guy had warrants out for his arrest, and his "emergency contact" was his estranged wife who had a restraining order against him and was not legally able to sign a contract. Roman never called her or did any sort of thorough background check. The guy is now in jail, and his girlfriend is renting my house out on Airbnb without my permission - they haven't paid rent in 2 months, and while they're making $263/night on Airbnb, I'm stuck paying the bills while waiting for the eviction process to proceed. My mistake - I trusted that Roman was a professional and knew his business - he just wanted to make a quick buck.

For example, we'd look at beautiful homes, but they weren't in walkable areas & she knew that was important to me so she'd flag it. We'd look at another house we loved, but the yard was tiny & she new that was important to my fiancé so she'd flag that. She always was looking out for us. NOW for the real good stuff- Tia was able to use an offer we put on one house and we're in discussion with to use that to get us our house under asking & quickly. Tia was able to negotiate our house $34,000 UNDER asking, she got us to have the seller pay $10,000 towards closing costs (huge help for us) AND got us a 45 day close versus 30 day close (we needed extra time to get out of our apartment). She also assisted with getting a few things fixed from what came up in the inspection & all little minor fixes she was able to get the seller to fix for us pre-move in. All in all it was the best first time homebuyers experience I could've imagined & could not recommend Tia more! Thank you to both Tia and her assistant Colleen who made this experience possible. He was professional while laid back and has a passion for what he does. We have referred everyone to him we possibly can. My wifend I built a home and ended up having issues with our builder. We started working with Reed in March of 2012 and closed September 2014. My wife and I built a home and ended up having issues with our builder. Reed worked tirelessly on contracts, helped us pick out finish outs to stay in budget, helped us work with financing and basically just held our hands through the whole thing. If we had a question, we received a response that was thorough and prompt. He had patience and focus and that is the only reason we ever got in our home. One of the most impressive moments was when we randomly came to the build and found Reed in the tree well digging out dirt with a pick axe and shovel so we could meet the tree inspection deadline. The builder was dragging his feet and Reed decided he could get it done. It was August and miserable and he was moving bucketloads of dirt out so we could close. We will always count Reed a friend and can't thank him enough for his help. Reed is a rockstar and if you are a friend of mine, chances are I have told you that already. Reed and Regina just recently helped my wife's mother get a home and had a wonderful experience. They have been there every step and have helped make the experience enjoyable.

I picked Mr. Hoffarth because he was listed as the agent on a house for lease near ours in the Millwood area. I couldn't be more pleased with the service Mr. Hoffarth provided. Gary was Johnny-on-the-spot in returning my calls. He handled everything with courtesy and professionalism. He had contacts to come in for cleaning, and he had helpful suggestions about small and inexpensive changes that made the house more attractive to prospective tenants. In no time after my initial call to him, Mr. Hoffarth had a sign in the yard and a listing for our house on the Multiple Listing Service so that other realtors could show the property. And within days, even though it was mid-November and a slow time for rentals, Mr. Hoffarth had some fully qualified tenants ready to move in. My wife and I live in San Antonio. Mr. Hoffarth's office had the capacity to e-mail contracts and have them e-signed via the Internet. This saved me several trips up to Austin and expedited the transactions greatly.
