Great breakfast spot....Prices are so cheap....Here....You can Eat like a KING with limited funds.... Decor- very homely but nothing fancy- comfortable Service- people here are extremely nice...makes you feel welcome Price- It is so reasonable .... I got the pick 4 for $6 feast....excellent ...tastes great / great value (see menu pics)- this same meal in Baltimore would easily be $10-12 dollars Would I be back? Yes!!! Actually spending a week in Clarks Summit area...will be coming in for breakfast everyday this week! Love it... Note:CASH ONLY

Stopped by this small town, and before leaving, had some good food here. A very friendly atmosphere, many many locals chit-chatting and hanging out on a Monday morning. We could tell they were busy, so food took a little extra time but they apologized for it. Cool mug selection, all different types. Got the corned beef hash, 2 eggs, toast, and homefries. Homefries and corned beef hash had that crusted crunchy goodness that I love, and the eggs over easy. One ehhh parts was the toast. It wasn't warm so the butter didnt really melt, and was cold. Still ate most of it though. They have a lot of rooster stuff in there. Good prices!

I've grown up in Clarks Summit and somehow neglected to stop by the Sunrise Cafe until today. Generally when I was looking to eat breakfast out, I would head to a little diner down the road in Chinchilla. However, I was feeling adventurous and decided to try someplace new. I am so glad that I did. A bright sunny atmosphere was the backdrop for a completely delicious breakfast. Additionally the service was excellent. The staff is friendly helpful and very accommodating. The only disappointment was that they did not have bagels on the menu for the egg sandwich (hubby's disappointment). I thoroughly enjoyed the Greek omelette and chocolate chip pancakes. I will definitely be a return customer.

    Short stack!

After 6pm, the meters are off, which was convenient timing for us to get dinner. Atmosphere/Vibe- The decor was nice, sort of a modern industrial look with brick and black accents. There was soft music playing (a 2009s boy band) and some "punny" named drinks that felt perfect for a millennial. I am part of this demographic, and loved that! Staff- Very friendly and personable. Knowledgeable and willing to accommodate a substitution. Food- I started with butternut squash soup, which was quite good. My husband had french onion soup, which we felt was about average. I had the salmon dinner entree. The salmon was excellent, perfectly cooked with a nice light crust. I asked for asparagus instead of brussel sprouts, and the asparagus spears were cooked, but tough, and the carrots were perfect. The smear of celery root was not warm, which was a bummer. my husband had braised short ribs, and said he felt his green beans were underdone, but the meat was extremely tender and delicious. His smear of squash puree was also cold. We both had the crème brute for dessert, and that really was the star of the show! Overall- this place is what you make it. If you like to have more control of your meal and like a variety of flavors, it might not be for you, but we really enjoyed it!

Since there were no customers at the time, we approached the bus boy to ask if they were in fact open. He yelled into the kitchen with our question and received the answer "no". We told them that their website indicates that they are open until 11:00. The two servers looked at each other and then told us that the kitchen closes at 9:00. They only had bar service until 11:00. What restaurant closes their kitchen 2 hours before closing?! Am I to believe that a patron could drink for 2 hours (until closing time) without any food service? After an event at the Cultural Center, we passed up a few restaurants in downtown Scranton and drove to Clarks Summit to PATRONIZE LOCAL BUSINESS. No good deed goes unpunished. Never again!
