Stuffed French toast and bacon

This is the best dinner in the valley. All the food is fantastic! I've never once had a bad meal here. Every week there a different specials and wide variety of items. The staff is amazing and the friendliest waitresses! Highly recommend it.

Stopped by for brunch on Father's Day and was extremely happy. Both our boys are picky eaters but loved the pancakes, waffles, eggs and bacon. Father's day specials were amazing. It was very busy but we still got a table for four with no wait. Service was very friendly and attentive despite it being a busy brunch on a holiday. Thanks for a great brunch!

Ridiculously expensive for breakfast/lunch fare in a small town cafe setting. Will not return.

Very overpriced for what it is. Just spent $13 on two sausage patties, scrambled eggs and coffee... All incredibly mediocre.

The format was unusual in that it appeared to be a carry out place- but with a dining room attached. You order & pay- then go sit and wait for your meal to be served. The dining room is more comfortable than a typical pizza place with a family warmth. Our crew ordered chicken soup, burgers, pizza and a sub to go for out basketball player. We selected their "Old Forge" style pizza- iconic to the region. It didn't disappoint. The crust was light & crispy, the sauce in the sweet side and the blend of cheeses (including American cheese which is the hallmark, I'm told, of the style). It was delicious. I am a pizza 'freak'. I've enjoyed pizza from iconic restaurants in Naples, Rome, Chicago, New York, California, Detroit and now...Scranton! The burger people praised their 8oz. Burgers. The diner that enjoyed chicken soup (an accomplished cook) had high praise for the home made flavor and textures. When you add that we were treated like family members of this family owned establishment, our experience was exceptional. My only "complaints" are that: the check was far less than expected and (more of an opportunity than a complaint) I would have spent $$ for a nice red wine to complement my meal.

Yum!!! Whether…read moreyou're trapped at the hospital next door or just looking for a good coffee, Blackwatch is a great stop. They have a great rotating menu of seasonal drinks and your standard classics. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable of what they have. The space is SO cute decked out with old movie memorabilia and Scranton antiques. The price is a bit jarring for NEPA, but life moves on and the drinks are fantastic

Rarely in my travels do I encounter such a cute coffee spot that deserves a special shout out, but Blackwatch Cafe is worth a caffeine fix detour when traveling through the Scranton area. The unique vibe hits you as soon as you walk in, as there's decor worth a look in almost every direction. It's a tasteful collection of fixtures, pictures, and figures of all kinds. There is parking nearby the cafe, and the place offers a walk up window should you wish to sit on the patio outside or grab a drink to take for a stroll in the park. I ordered an iced mocha latte (half sweet), and it was prepared to perfection with a smooth taste and just the right amount of sweetness, and no hints of bitterness. It was probably the best iced mocha drink I've had in over a year. Service from the several ladies working there was really friendly. All in all, Blackwatch Cafe was a top notch cafe experience for me, and I'd wholeheartedly recommend others give them a visit when visiting Scranton. It's definitely the kind of coffee shop the world could use more of, offering a quality product, as well as a unique cafe experience. The park offers a wonderful place to stroll as well.
