And sitting around the table with guests and neighbors will make you feel like a local. Then there's the brewery!! Turning Waters Back Alley Brewery / Hoppy Girl Brewing.... We are so excited to have them in town! We've been to about 113 breweries around the state and country, and this one easily makes the top 10, if not higher. Ford's beers are exceptional! The Mango Milkshake IPA, Salted Caramel Russian Imperial Stout, Triple Black IPA, and Bourbon Barrel Aged Belgian Dark Beer were all 5 out of 5 stars. I'd drink those until they run out and never get sick of them. The hospitality they show out there is outstanding. The awesome snacks, delicious pizzas (don't miss this!), games, and variety of craft beers on tap will make you never want to leave. We'll things calmed down after lots left for the wedding. Fortunately it really was pretty quiet during the night. I was kind of ready for noise with people returning from the wedding. The bed was very firm so I didn't sleep too well but I guess that's the breaks of staying in a hotel. We did go to the pool and there was a funky smell and the water was greenish. I think it needs a good cleaning or something with the filter. Our suits did have a weird smell so I soaked them when we got home. Hopefully they'll be ok. We did appreciate the bottle of water we got at check in. Thank you. As for breakfast there was no where to sit so we decided not to stay. That was a bummer. We come over to Menomonie often so we'll see.

For us, life is very busy and hectic and what we get from a weekend at the Pratt Taber is priceless: warm and cozy comfort and relaxation. The hosts Deb and Ron are witty and kind without being overbearing or too chatty. The coffee is wonderfully strong and the food really top notch. The linens and beds go the extra mile to make you comfortable and it's the little extras that make us feel so at home. And the price is reasonable for what you get, costing less than other boutique hotels in the area. Five stars, no hesitation! I hope this gem stays open long enough for us to come back a few more times because it's truly the best weekend we could imagine each time.

We began our search and when we saw the Pratt Tabor Inn and read the reviews, went over their website, something in both of us felt good, like the Universe compelled us to try this out. It would be my first time and for my gf it had been years since she went to a b&b with her family. When we arrived, we met Ron, and right away our conversation felt lively and warm. He helped get us situated and settled and the rest as they say was history...I'm a strong believer in my later years that the Universe places people, events, and experiences in your life that aligned with how you want to live your life. I wanted this get-away to be about relaxing and sharing our love for each other, ourselves, and others! And it definitely was. Instead of writing an epic story, which I totally could, I'll list off the highlights of our stay. -Incredible atmosphere -Ellie, Buddy, and Max!! -Wonderful hospitality -Lovely time over Wine, Cheese, Conversations -Amazing dinner suggestions in town, including what to order! -Deb and Ron - delightful human beings -We love sitting down with people to share stories. I loved that both Ron and Deb created the time and space for us to engage with them, as much as we wanted to. -beautiful rooms -fireplace (not real wood) -Popcorn -relax environment -breakfast, coffee, dessert oh my!! So good. So much care. -Bottle of champagne! And flowers (yes it's extra but so worth it!) -Beds -Autumn room I have too many great things to say about Pratt Tabor Inn, but I think the memory I will take with us this first time here was the love, care, and story. My room was very clean, the main area was impeccable and the pool area was very nice. I was very impressed with everything. The staff - from the front desk to the maids - were friendly and helpful. I had 5 kids with me so if you were going to get crabby with a guest - it should've been me. One kid spilled an entire glass of apple juice everywhere ... then knocked ALL the utensils on the floor at breakfast (like 100 spoons, etc). The girl working the front desk was also manning the breakfast area, and she just pleasantly helped me clean it up with no issue. I will definitely stay in this location again.

The reason this was an issue was we were already told we could swim and the employee had an extremely rude attitude. If we had known that kids could not swim after 11 we wouldn't have even bothered using the pool facilities.
