they had the tarp straight across covering the door, we had to cut it and put some of the deck boards back down so we could even go outside!

Worst company I have ever dealt with. James sat at our kitchen table, twice, and filled us full of sunshine and roses about how he was so great at his job, build beautiful rooms, does just amazing work ( how great an athlete his boy is at football). We signed the contract and gave 11K down. Well that was Feb 2024 and here are the pictures of what we have for a 'beautiful' room. Was supposed to start late spring early summer. Well weather come into Omaha and that pushed everyone back. I get that. But when he tells you 'when you are on the list 'no one jumps you, it is all done in order' and he was going to pull our permit so when the time came he was ready to go. That was in July. We had a family wedding in August and I didn't want the house tore apart while we had family with us, so told him if it wasn't done by the 1st of Aug. I didn't want to see him till the end of Aug. He texted the first week in Aug and wanted to deliver the material to us, you know so we would have that laying around while people where in and out of the house for 10 days, to show good faith that he didn't skip the country with our money. (Only to find out later from the headquarters the material order was and hasn't ever been filled) Of course I told him no, I told him that 3 weeks before and I wasn't lying when I said it! So then we get a message the Tuesday after Labor day was going to be the start day. So we take off our existing deck so we are all ready for that day. Tuesday came and went, heard nothing from him. Finally on Thursday after I contacted him, he tells me that he has to stay on the job that he thought they were done with to do more work for this lady because she 'guilted him' into it! So much for working down the line... Then I find out he had to file the permit yet! (was supposed to be filled in July) Back and forth with him to get the permit done. The city gal asked me why I was doing all the permit work when he was the one filling it? I just wanted to get it done! So we wait till Oct. 29 and he finally shows up (we now have not had a deck on our house since Sept.) They dig the footings one day, come back two days later to pour the concrete in 3 holes, get it inspected and will be back on Monday because it has to set for 72 hours. November 13th they return (long 72 hours!) to start the deck. He (Ryan) gets the deck done on Friday afternoon, and covers it with a blue tarp (like that is so weather proof!) which then he asks for more money! I was told, 'if you can give us another payment it will keep you on our radar"! We then get a text from James asking for more money as he is already 'upside down' on our project. Both my husband and I are in the construction field for a living so I knew that is not how this is going to work and gave him no more money. That is the last we have heard from him. 3 months and nothing. Think we got 'jumped in line again'?? I had asked him, will this be done by our sons wedding? then will it be done by Thanksgiving? Christmas? Do you even plan on getting done by the end of the year? Each time getting a lie about it getting done. My husband had many phone/text conversations with him about a time line as we were finishing off the inside ourselves and he was going to take time off of work to do that. He point blank lied and told him, on more than one occasion that the first week of December they would be ready for us to do the inside. When we brought up about he is nothing but a liar and maybe we will just sue to get our money back, his response was, go ahead, get in line, take a number! Once he told me he 'just about walked off the job and quit his business'. Yeah just what a customer likes to hear! I sent him a text after our first snow and told him oh easy it was to shovel the snow because he left the sides off of the room! He didn't get it, says he will be back 'real soon'! Then he felt the urge to tell me how he did wrong in 2024, nothing but broken promises, and he is going to make it all right in 2025! How he has turned allies into friendships, how hard he is working, blah, blah, blah, lie, lie, lie. Even if he isn't lying now, sorry the damage is done and I will not believe another word he says. We have contacted lawyers, Sunroom views home office, other contractors for Sunroom views, general contractors and they can not believe what has all transpired with this whole ordeal. Or how he can still be in business! Unfortunately it is going to cost us a whole lot more money to continue on with this project, and I really believe that might not have been his intent at first, but after reading some of the other reviews, this is not his first time doing this to a customer. I have contractors apologizing to me for what has happened to us, caused by him. But he don't, he is just full of excuses. So PLEASE do not trust him, believe him, nor hire him to do anything for you. It is not worth any of it! I wished I would have read these reviews before we got suckered into him. -9 Rating

A contractor friend gave me 'Aces' name and the personalized touch was wonderful. Was able to expand the old deck beyond the original, keep the same footings, and the full tear down results were wonderful (composite). Price was less than other bids as well for a bigger deck! STAG Decking is a small company but a person will love their effort and results. Neighbor across the street liked the results at my house so much that only talked with STAG when they replace theirs this spring (2019).

It was beginning to look like we were going to have to extend our closing date or possibly have to look for another home Then our daughter in law mentioned Luan at Deck Bros We made contact with Luan, met him at the home that afternoon and he said due to our situation "no problem"-he would have it done the following morning Although it was not Luans problem-he was sympathetic to our situation and treated us like it was just as much his issue as it was ours We arrived at the new home around noon to take pictures for our realtor and the railing was completed AND was high quality !!! Luans compassion, professionalism, and his appreciation for our predicament made the difference in us being able to close on time THANKS LUAN

We shopped around and they were not the cheapest option but definitely not the best, apparently. We paid $23,000 for the absolute worst craftsmanship, quality control, professionalism, I can't even find the words. It took 3 months for these people to even give us a deck that was SEMI passable for $23k. The "project manager" Colby told me the first day that it was his first project... didn't give me a lot of hope which proved to be the case. He was such an unprofessional jerk! The owner came out and confirmed that the work was not up to par. The composite decking was not evenly cut, so this resulted in big gaps, medium gaps, and small gaps. Absolutely nothing was flush. There were big gaps between the drink railing and posts, the cuts on the wood were uneven and not flush, the cedar they tried to use was of the lowest quality. The wood was splintered and cracked one day after they completed it. The crew also busted all the hinges on our gate. My husband went to mow the back yard and the gate just fell because the hinges were busted and they just say our gate back up. They did fix the gate hinges but another example of absolutely no quality control or having a present project manger to ensure stuff like this is caught by them and not the customer. I don't know how they saw this and thought it was acceptable. My husband brought all these issues to their attention and they sent another crew back out to fix what was wrong. After the 2nd time the crew "fixed" the issues we had, they still did not do it correctly. The composite cuts were still crooked, we found nails all over the area under and around the deck, and nails and screws were sticking out of the wood. After 2 more visits, the deck was not up to par for me but they said they met their obligations. This company is such a joke. We filed a complaint with the BBB. We ended up settling after 3 months because they upgraded our railings and we were tired of dealing with them. I feel so bad because after we got screwed over I read tons of reviews of elderly being persuaded by this awful company and shoddy work. Please stay far away.
