Well I have been coming and the safety is getting worse and worse, no social distancing, no attempt by staff to regulate the crowd, simply irresponsible and unethical

THE ROCK WALL: the rock wall is not a good place for people who really rock climb, but it is an EXCELLENT place for beginners. They have a very small little bouldering cave and the rope routes have auto-belays, so you clip in and go, without having another person hold your ropes. They also have an after school climbing group for middle-schoolers and maybe grade-schoolers too! NOTE for you parents, don't just drop your kids off, you have to sign a waiver for those lil uns (i.e. under 18). THE CLUB: SAC is an awesome place to be a member! The staff, including the trainers and instructors are so nice! Their amenities are very new and clean and pretty and nice and varied and coooool. The only drawback is the price, because I hear it's a little spendy, but even then if you're an active person, you will have access to salt-filtered swimming pools, basketball, rock climbing, racquetball, tennis, weights, classes, aerobic machines, etc., etc., etc!

Women's locker room. Very welcoming here.

So much fun here that if my home wasn't so nice, I wouldn't want to leave! Great instructors, so be sure to try LOTS of classes. Nice camaraderie and encouragement. Comfy places to hang out too.

    Swim meet mayhem!

I've tried this club but it was OVER RUN with kids hanging on the aging equipment, in the locker room, all over the place. No thanks.

Eric is incredibly intuitive; he knows exactly how to support and advise newcomers who feel hesitant or lost. What truly touched me was his attentive and flexible approach, he treats everyone with the same level of respect and care, without any bias or discrimination. To be honest, my initial experience with other staff members like Nathan and Joel was quite disappointing. They often appeared arrogant, exhausted, and lacked the patience to listen to customer concerns. However, I believe they are just "the bad apples in the bunch." An outstanding employee like Eric is a reflection of a great leader. I have full confidence that Mr Scott, the owner, is a fair and exemplary leader who knows how to train and select top-tier talent. My family and friends all support 24 Fitness. Beyond the diverse and convenient services suitable for all ages, their commitment to customer care, turning visitors into long-term members, is impressive. Scott's center has truly mastered this. If you're still looking for a place to support your health and your loved ones, please visit 24 Fitness and ask for Eric. I'm certain you'll leave feeling as satisfied and valued as I did!

Since 24HF has senior fitness classes on the days that my community center doesn't, I decided to go. I'm older and use the One Pass that comes with Medicare Insurance. When I approached the classroom where the senior fitness classes are taught, I was appalled at how crowded it was. There were at least 50 people in the room, possibly more. There wasn't enough room to move around without smacking the person next to you. I told The downstairs person (who was working alone and running all over the gym doing other duties). He told me that they are allowed 60 people in that class. I asked if they check to make sure every person is reserved? And they don't. Yes, I get my membership for free. But before Covid I paid around $700/a year for my membership and that would really piss me off to try to go to a class that was not being managed as far as reservations and overcrowding go. I think I'm going to look into a different gym for my extra workout workouts.

I've tried all types of gyms - from the budget to the boujee, and the one I've stuck with for years…read morenow is Orange Theory Fitness (OTF) - primarily because it doesn't try to be something that it's not. Their goal is to get you in, get you an awesome workout, and then get you on with your day, feeling like you did something awesome. The workouts themselves are great - at the end of a long day, I've got decision fatigue and it's so nice to know that I will be told what to do for an hour, given everything I need to be successful at it, and then empowered to do my best. Now, OTF Cedar Mill is a special place. I'm sure it looks like every other Orange Theory studio, but the coaches and staff simply make it different. You're known by name, they know what side of the room you prefer or what piece of equipment you like to start on. As for the members, I haven't come across an a**hole yet (despite feeling like I'm a magnet for that type of person). The members here are all happy to be making the most of their workout in, and aren't "on the make"; there's no posturing or performing, because that's not what OTF is about. It's about you, your hour, and your personal desire to get healthy.

They were motivating, professional, and made the class feel welcoming, which I genuinely appreciated. However, I was disappointed with my experience outside of the workout. I was told the class would be a free trial, but afterward I was charged $30 to the card I had on file because I didn't purchase a membership that day. I had been clear that I planned to buy a membership when I returned in about two months, yet I was repeatedly told that I "wasn't local," even though I live only five minutes away. That part of the experience felt misleading and uncomfortable, and unfortunately came across as a bit of a bait and switch. While I truly liked the instructor and the class itself, the way the situation was handled afterward rubbed me the wrong way and ultimately made me hesitant to move forward with a membership. I hope this feedback helps, because the workout itself was great. I just wish the communication and policies around trial classes had been clearer and more consistent.

My wife and I signed up for a starter class, and let me tell you, the excitement is real. The scale of this place is jaw-dropping; every wall, every route, every corner feels massive and meticulously designed. The staff is top-notch, friendly, and clearly passionate, which makes getting started a breeze. It's the kind of place where you can feel the history and effort in every inch, and yet it's buzzing with energy and accessibility for beginners. Excellent gym | very aesthetic…read more This is the biggest climbing facility I've ever been to. It is one of those climbing chains, like Movement, so they have a lot to offer for climbers and fitness enthusiasts. Keep in mind that I'm writing this review with a background of climbing over 15 years and have visited many gyms throughout the country and overseas. The gym boasts over 20,000 sq ft with 17ft tall boulders and 40ft walls of rope routes. You can never be bored here. In fact, there's so much space that they don't know what else to do with it! They have lounging areas, a couple of bathroom areas, training board systems, and weight training. But let's talk bouldering first... Some of the routes I've jumped on felt intuitive. Good flow. There were a few that puzzled me, though. One route was an overhanging low grade route that I anticipated to be an easy warm up, but instead they placed a hold that forced me to do a less than ideal move for the grade. I was spooked. A friend agreed. Overall, they have lots of area with various range of problems for a beginner climber to an advanced veteran. No kids area, but I'd say the area closest to the front desk to the left is the most kid friendly spot. The second biggest feature here is the newly opened rope area. It's impressive and overwhelming. There are about 5 auto belay systems, so you can get a pretty decent work out if you came solo. I saw routes ranging from 5.6 to 5.11 when I did autobelay here. There are two crack climbs one can practice in the auto belay area as well. There is everything imaginable from 5.4 to 5.12/13 here, including overhanging routes. Also, I was impressed with their various holds! One set of black holds were used for a stemmy route, which I thought was neat. I believe they set every 8 weeks. Community? I'm not sure. I think when you are a gym like Movement, it's hard to cultivate a tight-knit climbing community, like Santa Rosa's Vertex or Tigard's Circuit, but I think there are little climbing groups that make up a community. People are friendly though. This place is well thought out. I'm impressed and found the staff to be helpful. A day pass is $27. For a place like this, it's worth it. You can easily spend 3-4 hours here.

My son is 4 and is on the spectrum- finding a place he is comfortable at and well cared for has not been easy. We are always greeted by every single person who works there and the staff at the kids club is so incredibly welcoming and you can tell they really care about the kids. My son asks to go to the gym every single day - he has made friends, he is talking more, he is becoming much more independent and it is because of Villa Sports. Stacey has went out of her way to give me updates on my son and I feel like this place is so lucky to have her, and so is every kid that goes here. If I could list every kids club staff member I would because I truly love all of them. If you have kids, this place is for you! No question about it. On top of that, this place is clean, has so many machine opens, tons of free weights, a great pool and just wow - I will never go anywhere else and honestly neither should you! I was a little intimidated to be working with him initially. I've only had female personal trainers in the past, and I came into that session during a phase of life where I felt disconnected from my body. I felt very vulnerable and exposed to be reaching out for help to a really strong gym guy. During that session, Matt made me feel so comfortable. He was kind and encouraging. We talked about all of my postpartum challenges and he took notes on what mattered most to me and what I wanted from our time together. I really appreciated how he didn't assume what I wanted or needed just from looking at me. I left that session feeling empowered, hopeful, and safe in this space. (Not to mention he fixed my squat in that first session!) Over the last few months, with Matt's programming, I have gained a few pounds of muscle and lost 6% of my body fat. He writes my programs based on my schedule and what I enjoy doing. He's adapted my workouts to support my pelvic floor health which was a very big postpartum concern for me. Any fear I had of bringing up my pelvic floor to a male trainer were squashed by Matt's caring/person-first approach to training. If you are feeling vulnerable, exposed or intimidated, but ready to get some professional support in the gym, I cannot recommend Matt more highly. He's the trainer for you! In addition to my work with Matt, I began taking Reformer Pilates classes once a week with Kate. It is the most fun I've ever had while working that hard! The Reformer machine is such a unique piece of equipment and keeps my brain really interested and engaged in what we are doing. The glide of the carriage and buoyancy of the springs feel so unique to other types of equipment. It's SO fun- horizontal jumping anyone?! But also, so challenging! Luckily for me, Kate is an incredible instructor! Her cues and prompts are spot on and always help me correct my form and activate the right muscle group. She moves throughout the room and provides individualized encouragement and coaching to each of us. Kate also facilitates an awesome vibe in the class! She is fun and friendly and has created a space that feels welcoming and easy to enter into, even as a total beginner. I'm extremely thankful for the team at Villa Sport who have made me feel like I belong while also achieving my goals. 10/10 recommend.
