Didn't feel secure staying here but they wouldn't refund us so we could go elsewhere and no manager around to talk to until the next morning. Customer service is terrible. Our issue was not with the resort, but rather with other guests that were situated next to our room. The hotel staff actually handled it as best as they could and fully reimbursed our second night that we left before we used it. We were looking forward to a quiet stay so we could celebrate in peace. Unfortunately, the bride's party for a wedding was next door with rooms across the hall from each other. The doors of both rooms were left with the lock bolt preventing them from closing shut, leaving easy access for those wanting to enter in and out of each room. The doors banged loudly and very often for hours. We complained politely to them to no avail. We did not begrudge them for being excited and jovial. Just the incessant banging and the promise of how things may be later. We checked out when they all went the ceremony and cut our weekend short.

You pay…read more275 per night and the air conditioning was a portable unit that would cool a room great... but it was cooling the whole unit, it did not keep up at all(only one air conditioning unit, no air conditioning in the rooms). The bbq was out of propane, you would think the staff should check this as a customer is basically paying for it. To be fair the place was really nice, basic but nice, however service is what makes an experience come together. The wifi was lacklustre. It would work then stop then disappear altogether. The boat launch is about 30 bucks a day and extra for a stall. 130 for 2 days. We did opt in for the stall and that worked well. There are other places to dock if one wanted to and this is just a side note. Not a complaint. Now on to the campers my friends rented. That was not a very good experience. They get there first off and had to wait till 6:00 pm and were told 3:00 pm. And still had to make a full payment. Everyone who stays cabin or camper needs to pay full price for the whole stay before even getting access to the areas in question. Well the campers smell like crap, literal crap! When they complained the restaurant manager handled the situation instead of Maintainence. Makes you wonder. I feel management may need some more lessons in management. Anyhow I am sure I missed some stuff so here is my review.

Very overpriced cottages!…read more Said luxury but far from it . Husband has terminal cancer and wanted a last trip to make some memories. Stuff was broken or didn't work. Waited three hours for maintenance man to fix the gas fireplace. Spa was closed for renovations. Black hairs in the bedding. We are blondes. Power outage this morning that was planned but we were not told. Husband woke up so stiff and cold. My sons were furious. I was told someone would reach out to me but heard nothing. Where do I begin with this place? My friend called this place few times to get information. We were…read moretold that the cabin is facing a lake and that the rooms have freezers, coffee makers, ovens, and are big. We were so choked up when we got there for our weekends from Alberta, but did not know what else to do. There are no freezers, ovens or coffee makers in the room. We had taken frozen pizza and other food that needed to be in the freezer that we ended up getting ice and keeping them in the cooler and having to bring it back. The lake is about 10 minutes drive to the cabins and the room was so disgusting that we are lucky we had our own pillow and blanket and slept on top of the beddings they had with our own blanket. The sink in the "kitchen" was the same sink you would use when you come out of the bathroom. The shower curtain was so small that the carpet in the bathroom was soaking wet after each shower. Which was weird because the shower was only a drizzle to the point that I couldn't rinse off the soap and shampoo completely. We literally washed all the dishes before using it. That's how grossed out we were. The room was practically size of a shed and when we asked for the bigger room, the owner, Patti said no because she didn't want to clean the small room. We hadn't even taken anything inside, just opened the door and went back to her. Every time we talked to the lady owner, she would change her stories and didn't answer questions. When we tried to talk to her husband, she would become very defensive. We found the information we received from the lady was day and night different from the info that the man was giving. The "fire pit" was this round middle thing that was on top of the grass and you had to chop your own wood and pray that this middle round that that easily moved around was safe. Patti the lady owner told us that they are always busy. Beside my friend and I and there was only the coupe and their dog that owned the place for the whole weekend. The campground right across from it was PACKED. This place is not worth $100 per night. Maybe $50, but if you're planning to go there on a vacation and fun, don't go near this place.
