Waited three hours for maintenance man to fix the gas fireplace. Spa was closed for renovations. Black hairs in the bedding. We are blondes. Power outage this morning that was planned but we were not told. Husband woke up so stiff and cold. My sons were furious. I was told someone would reach out to me but heard nothing. Our issue was not with the resort, but rather with other guests that were situated next to our room. The hotel staff actually handled it as best as they could and fully reimbursed our second night that we left before we used it. We were looking forward to a quiet stay so we could celebrate in peace. Unfortunately, the bride's party for a wedding was next door with rooms across the hall from each other. The doors of both rooms were left with the lock bolt preventing them from closing shut, leaving easy access for those wanting to enter in and out of each room. The doors banged loudly and very often for hours. We complained politely to them to no avail. We did not begrudge them for being excited and jovial. Just the incessant banging and the promise of how things may be later. We checked out when they all went the ceremony and cut our weekend short.

Graffiti on the walls and furniture, burn marks on countertops, had no TV remote, random stains and holes on the walls and even on lamp shades. to top it off we found a used NEEDLE. i was there with my two children and I am currently pregnant i felt like just breathing the hotel air was enough to catch a disease. absolutely 0/10. This was one of the worst Ramada rooms we have ever stayed in. Maybe even one of the worst hotel rooms as well. We stayed on the main floor and requested a non-smoking room. Unfortunately the non-smoking and smoking rooms seem to be inter-mingled on the main floor where we stayed so if you stepped into the hall it reeked of smoke from other rooms. The smell didn't seep into our room though otherwise we wouldn't have requested a room move. We didn't have much need to use the main hallway as we had an outside door to the parking lot. Our room was not in the greatest of states. Things falling apart such as the shower curtain was almost falling off the wall. We had to tape one side to keep it closed because it sagged to the middle. The toilet was loose on the floor. Tiles were poorly repaired. Air vents were filthy. The bed was well used and probably should have been replaced long ago. This was the worst mattress I have ever had in a hotel. I did take pictures of all of this and was going to post them with my review but I didn't think it was fair as I am hoping most of the rooms are not in the same state as this one. If you decide to stay here I would suggest staying off the main floor. I suspect a lot of truckers stay here and the bottom floors get a lot of use and abuse compared to the other floors. The front desk staff were very pleasant and nice to deal with. We didn't make a big deal about the room as we were just staying a few days and would mostly be out at the lake. I don't think I would stay at this location again. I do expect a lot better experience from a Ramada Hotel.

Long story short as we were driving through PA our truck broke down and we couldn't get the part until the next day. We had the dog with us so needed a dog friendly hotel. Called Best Western first and they were incredibly accommodating. No extra charge for the dog and a continental breakfast included. The room and bathroom were modern, clean and the service was impeccable. After the stress of a breakdown we were grateful to be treated so well. We ordered pizza and stayed in for the night. Breakfast the next morning included eggs, bacon and more. We requested a late check out while waiting for our part to arrive...no problem. Shit happens but it's great when people care and make you feel welcome. Highly recommended!

On 2nd day picked up my vehicle and walked up to the front desk with my pop..I attempted to ask for clean towels..I was totally ignored and waited 20 minutes just to get acknowledged. Was told housekeeping was already gone and he went into a long lecture about why we didn't get towels..I attempted to leave when he practicality barked ..did u pay for your drink? I said search your cameras,I walked in with this., but he still wasn't happy so I said,You know what? If u want it sooo bad, u can have it..I was so upset..not even an apology..we checked out early after I my demands to speak with a manager were ignored. Wasn't given my damage deposit or allowed to wait for manager. We were asked to leave our room .I don't know if we were treated poorly because we were native..I'm 59 yr old female..and I hated how I was treated. Me and my daughter were treated like we were something dirty..we felt unwelcome. I left here in tears.
