Love this tiny simple place! We pop in from time to time, great food, large portions and decent pricing. The servers have always been older and honestly I love that. I served for years and I know good service when I see it. We don't stay for the entertainment side of things, but if your into that , it's offered. Severely understaffed always. Food, when you get it is outstanding, and be sure to check order on pickup. They get busy and forget and miss items so you need to check. Two weeks in a row at least one item was missing, this week it was fries. read more

Very sweet restaurant, fairly small. We take up almost half the place when we get a table for 8, but there is a patio area. I've been here a handful of times and have had no complaints. I've got their Chicken Kabob plate and their Italian Spaghetti I would recommend them to anyone. I think all the entrees come with soup or salads. The Greek salad is definitely the one I recommend the Vinegarette they use is delicious. I have not tried any dessert yet but only because they are anything but stingy with their portions.. I always am left very full and satisfied. . . Then we always stick around for karaoke 7 to 11 on Saturday nights.. there are some very talented people that show off their vocals here. Don't miss out! We stopped in there last Sunday afternoon around 3:30. There was about 5 people in the restaurant sitting at the bar. We sat down at a table. It took a few minutes for the waitress to come to our table. She set two menus down and walked away. Never greeting us nor taking a drink order. We browsed the menu, had decided what we were going to have and proceeded to sit there for another 5-10 minutes while the one and only waitress completely ignored us and was chatting it up with the people who were sitting at the bar. We left. It was our first visit there and will never be back. Such shitty service we got for a restaurant that has a lot of great reviews. read more

Stopped in for lunch. I was in the area working on a house. I'd been to a nearby restaurant twice and decided to try this today. I was taken back when I walked in. It is new and modern. They offer daily specials, but I opted for the Phily Cheesesteak and fries. The fries were hot and crispy. The phily was good. The bread was outstanding. Food is excellent and priced fairly. That said, the service leaves a lot to be desired. Admittedly we arrived around 12:30 pm on a Monday. The restaurant was about half full when we arrived, with a couple of tables awaiting orders and the rest already having their meals. Our orders were taken promptly but that was the end of prompt service. Diners at 4 other tables who arrived after us were served before us. Until we hailed the wait staff to ask about the status of our meals, it appeared that we had been forgotten in the rush. read more

I had a taste for gyros so we wound up at the Sunset Bistro. We sat outside even though it was over 90. They added some shades so the sun wasn't directly in our eyes. Very comfortable. I decided to have a falafel sandwich which was delicious! Crispy falafel on a really fresh pita. Fresh lettuce tomato and onion. My friend had the burger which was really good too. This was my first time at this establishment. We walked in at 4:16 knowing that they were going to close at 5 o'clock. We were never rushed and had a great relaxing meal. I had the falafel sandwich with the Greek salad which was outstanding. (Better than the large chain serving Mediterranean food)). As I begin to eat, the plate was too close to the edge of the table and I put pressure to cut a piece of the pita bread and spilled half the plate of food all over my lap and on the floor. The waitress came over, said it was no big deal, looked at the amount of falafel that went on the floor and had the cook bring me new ones. As far as I'm concerned, that was over and above expectations for customer service. It wasn't their fault that I made a mess of things. Also, they never made me feel awkward for having spilled my food on the floor. (and remember, they were closing at 5 o'clock). Great food, great service, great price! I will be back! read more

We're regular diners at the Sunset Bistro. Ample portions are always value-priced. Daily specials are unique and tasty. Service is solid and accurate, servers very knowledgeable about the food and specials. They don't seem to push alcohol. Based on those experiences, we recently placed a catering request for a party group of 35. We spoke with Ammo, the Kitchen Manager, who was extremely easy to work with. I'm a natural worrier and didn't know what to expect. Ammo reassured me and provided great suggestions but I was totally amazed upon receipt of the food order and the ease of presentation. Everything was perfect - the timeliness at pick-up and the abundance and quality of food provided! Exactly how I had hoped. This is the best keep secret in Sun City, There wed and fri fish fry, be it one serving, is the best anywhere and very very well prices. The one regular waitress is amazing, I have been there when the lace is almost full, with a full service bar and a patio, and she never misses a beat.
