The lodge was an especially nice touch for those camping or staying in a cabin. There are places to sit, recharge your phone, cook, and eat. They provide plenty of pots, cooking utensils, dishes, and utensils. There's even a couple of coffee machines and even a French press for us coffee snobs! You will need to bring your own dish soup for cleaning though. Overall an excellent campground that we plan to return to.

The entire place was immaculate, just like the rest of PEI. Not only does the place have a heated pool, but they also have a common room that's like a log cabin with a basic kitchen, a roaring fire, tables and games. It was a great place to spend the evenings - especially during the rain. If you are looking to stay in one place while you tour PEI this is the perfect location for both camping and cabins.

We also received access codes for the free WiFi, which you need one per device, more on that later. Unfortunately we later discovered that the sites were very small, so small that you had to share your electricity and water access points with your neighbor, and that your RV is directly in front someone else's RV. There are many activities for the children, which include a free hot dog roast on Sunday and daily hayrides, and the small but surprisingly deep pool (3m) was also semi-heated. The major letdown of this campground was the WiFi. It is available everywhere but is so slow (0.46 down, 0.01 up) that it is unusable. I couldn't fetch my email or do anything, really. The WiFi near the offices was much better, but still not acceptable for the price of a KOA.

Loved staying in the oTENTiks at Cavendish Campground in mid September. Weather was great and the…read morecrowds were gone. The sunsets are breathtaking here but the camp sites are all very close together. You can hear everything through the oTENTiks so loud kids may disturb you. On the plus side they all have power outlets, gas grills and dishes at this campground unlike Fundy NP. The bathrooms and showers are modern, clean and have lots of hot water. The downside to coming in the shoulder season is almost everything around it is closed. We did Greco's pizza for dinner and Chez Yevonne for breakfast. That's about the only choice. Even the Tourists Mart (aka grocery and beer store) is closing in a few weeks.

The campground was SO windy when we were there but down the bank to the beach we got some reprieve. The campground was nice. They have a mix of grassy and wooded sites, all close to laundry and showers. They only had one drier working which caused a line. The folks working here seem to have trouble with the booking system. Check-in took a long time but at least the people were friendly.

It was an easy back in and we leveled up quick and this is a very private site only because it's at the end of the row and you're looking out over the water. It's very quiet here which we really liked and our side is also not far from the laundry And bathrooms, but not too close that's annoying. We found the Wi-Fi was excellent and we really didn't have any problems with it at all. The staff in the office were great and told us exactly where our site was and gave us a map. From our site you can be walking straight out onto The view of Fundy and it is stunning. There are paths that take you to Hopewell that take an hour to walk or you can just do the quick jaunt around the local ponds on a walk. Hopewell is less than 10 minutes by car. I highly recommend this place. It's not expensive. It's a simple campground with a small pool, but it's very quiet and close to local towns.

Ponderosa Pines is a nice campground located very close to the World Famous Hopewell Rocks. They…read moreoffer campsites for RVers and tenters as well as having a few rental properties. The campground roads are gravel, packed dirt and campsites are either gravel or grass. Some sites are shaded while most are open. Campground has their own small lake for fishing or boating for kayaking or canoeing. RV sites are full hook up (W/S/E), tent sites are dry camping. We arrived during "low season" and we given a site overlooking the marsh and Chocolate River. We asked if it was a back in or pull in, woman at desk admitted she was new and didn't know. We were not offered an escort to our site. When we got there, the site was a pull-in and not to our liking. There were 9 or 10 other RVers in the immediate area, several with dogs off leash (we are dog people, but when they say, dogs on lead, we obey). We went back towards the office and saw the pull-thru sites were empty so we pulled in to one and walked to the office to see if we could take that site instead. Same price so no problem swapping. So glad we did because when we went for a walk that evening, there was all sorts of noise from the other section of the campground they wanted to put us in first (noise = loud talking + radios + barking dogs + kids playing). We only stayed 1 night as this was a halfway point on our planned travels. We wanted to see Hopewell Rocks at high & low tides and accomplished that. Restrooms are clean, 4 showers are accessed by individual doors at other end of building so anyone can use it. Laundry room in in central portion of the restroom building. They offer rustic bathrooms in the tenting area (out-houses). We stayed here in a fifth wheel and would return again if our travels brought us this way.
