I've been coming to sunset dental studio for routine dental care for a about 2 years now and Dr. Khatchaturian and his team has been amazing! There's a reason why I keep coming for routine care. Unfortunately I came in today because I cracked one of my molars on a nutty bar. I was freaking out because this happened on Friday and appointments are usually booked out a couple weeks in general but my some miracle they were able to get me in on Monday. Front staff was wonderful, patient, and friendly. All in all a very pleasant experience considering I was getting a crown on my broken tooth. Dr. Khatchaturian, explained every step of my procedure and made sure I was comfortable and understood the why and what of what was happening with my tooth. His hygienists are amazing; they always remember to ask about my life and my dog. He is an extremely kind person. Dr. V and his team do not need yet another 5-star review, but I wanted to publicly thank them. Because of them, my smile makes me smile! I came to Dr. V needing: 1. an implant (I busted one of the front teeth eating beef jerky -- a no no); 2. veneer (the color and shape on the other front teeth weren't quite right); 3. adjustment to my bite since I was chipping my teeth; and 4. counsel on the effectiveness of nighttime mouthguards (I have a collection of them). My experience w/ SDS was nothing short of exceptional from the emergency treatment to my final touchpoint with Dr. V. Patient care and communications really make this office a standout. I call Dr. V the explainer in chief of dentistry -- he really wants you to feel confident in the treatment plan and explains the basis for his recommendations. Maria and team kept me up to date on status of the veneers and billing so there were no surprises. And Dr. V's technique made the overall experience not painful or uncomfortable. In our conversations, we also discussed the few $$$ on mouthguards I've spent to mitigate nighttime grinding. We discussed my issues and agreed that they weren't effectiveness for me, especially since they were causing other issues. Dr. Victor and his entire staff are truly exceptional. He is highly knowledgeable, but also remarkably caring during every visit and in answering any questions. I first came to their office for my upper veneers, and the entire process was incredibly smooth despite my somewhat complex situation from prior dental procedures with different Drs. The office itself is beautiful, the views are stunning, and I even got to watch some funny episodes of Friends on the ceiling TV while they worked -- making a daunting dental procedure into a remarkable experience. I now still go to their office for regular cleanings for which they use the latest technology, with state of the art tools for EVERYTHING. Maria and Michelle are always quick to respond to office messages and go out of their way to accommodate emergency situations as soon as possible, even with the Dr's busy schedule. I decided to go to this place for my regular 6 month cleaning since my regular dentist Encino Smile Center Dentist is far away from my house but unfortunately it was not what I expected. The cleaning was ok but Dr Haddad recommended that I should change couple fillings. It didn't feel right to me so I decided to go back to my regular dentist in Encino who was kind to get new X-rays for me free of charge since Sunset wasn't available to provide them fast enough for my encino dentist to review them. Happily my dentist told me that my teeth were fine and there were not filling that need to be replaced. Unfortunately I can't recommend this place . read more

From the moment you open and walk in Dr. Khatchaturian's office, you're greeted by Maria and Michelle with a warm and friendly smile, Had my X-rays and oral hygiene done by Sandy with the help of Airflow biofilm cleaning system. (I'm loving the Airflow biofilm cleaning) Sandy is absolutely amazing. Dr. Khatchaturian Is so sweet and has great bedside manners, did my exam and said let's observe a few teeth and re-eval in 4-6 months and go from there. Oh and I almost forgot the best part you can watch Netflix, along with a massage as the dental chair has a massager. You're literally at a SPA. read more

I love Sunset Dental Studio! The entire office staff is so helpful and polite. They make booking an appointment a breeze. Dr. Haddad treats me - She is wonderful! She truly cares about helping you and making you happy with your smile. The office is beautiful and has wonderful amenities. I knew I'd be back when they turned on the massage feature on the reclining seat. While you are being worked on, there's a TV above you where you can watch Netflix, YouTube or whatever else you'd like. They also had Beats headphones with covers over the ears to keep them sanitary. This was wonderful for me because I don't like the sounds of the dental instruments. They also have wonderful technology. I'm not versed on the terminology but they have a machine that scans your teeth and they can show you a detailed break down on your smile and what they can do to improve it. This office is - hands down - the best dental office I have ever experienced. From start to finish, everything is upfront and easy. They will answer any question you might have and will often tell you what expense you are looking at before you even come. Note: they don't contract with any insurance. That said, if you have a PPO, they will send all the appropriate paperwork to your insurance for them to reimburse you. I have thus far had zero issue on this front and it in fact has been easier than offices that charge one thing and then want to charge you again after a complicated back-and-forth with insurance. Maria at the front is great. The dental hygienists are all extremely friendly and knowledgeable. You can tell they like coming to work, which makes the entire experience more enjoyable for everyone involved. They trust the doctor and the doctor seems to trust them. Dr. Victor knows what he is talking about and does not try to "sell" you on anything that isn't completely necessary. He will happily explain what is going on in great detail, which has proven to really reduce my anxiety around dentists. I've learned more about teeth in the last 1.5 years of coming here than I than have ever before. For perspective, I have had truly horrible dentist experiences in the past. When I was a kid, a dentist drilled into my gums during a filling, which resulted in a lot of painful and unnecessary dental work. As an adult, I take great care of my teeth. Unfortunately, I still had to get a filling because a tooth was shaped just right that I couldn't have prevented it no matter what I did. When I came in for the filling, I explained my previous trauma and that I was unreasonably experiencing a lot of anxiety and had a raised heartbeat - the whole nine. The whole team took extra care to move slowly, explain everything, THOROUGHLY numb the area, and gave me regular check ins throughout. I am confident it would have been a worse experience at another office. Now, I'll trust them with anything I need for dental work. You do pay a premium to come here - but if you are able, it is definitely worth it! 10/10 read more

Just finished my second dental cleaning here & I think I've found "my place" for dental care. -- EDIT: In response to the owners comment. This was not my first visit and my first visit with them did include a cleaning, so that was not my point. I've been here before this. With COVID, it's been hard to take care of my teeth as far as making appointments go. They're pretty booked, which is great for them, so expect to book in advance. The cleaning was great. I walked in and left in 45 minutes and my teeth are sooo much better than when I arrived. The only thing I had an issue with was scheduling and I'm not taking a star for that because I'm sure it doesn't happen often. I called and made an appointment for cleaning and X-Rays because I was worried about having a cavity - When I arrived, I found out that they only scheduled me for the X-Rays. Normally, an apology would have been fine but in the process, they kind of made it seem like it was my fault? I was so very clear that I also needed my teeth cleaned when I called, so I'm unsure of where the miscommunication happened but it did. I am very organized as a person and I take note of everything as I schedule appointments. Anyways, they managed to fit me in to their schedule as they had a cancellation - that little hiccup won't change my mind. I'm still going to be a returning client :) read more

Im english and i really have a hard time with the dentist so I wont say I love going even for Dr Haddad. I was seeing Dr Haddad at wla dental where the great and wonderful Dr Sameni recommended her to us many years ago. He told me she was the best student he has ever had . Dr Haddad is in the delta ( WLA is not ) network so that helps . We drove from Venice to her new office and it's been a real pleasure . We miss the amazing WLA team and the easier commute but are happy we made the switch . Netflix on the ceiling with headphones , massage chair and the best part is they have 3D printed crowns so no need for a temporary and wait . Color match is perfect . This is the only dentist office that has ever made me feel relaxed. My very first experience at this office was like a dream. It was unreal how I was treated like royalty. I remember thinking this was too good to be true. Everyone was smiling and genuine. Dr. K was sincere, knowledgable, and listened with concern. The process was smooth and pain-free. My insurance was accepted (although now they aren't contracted with any insurance company at all.) Highly recommend. Maria is personable and conversational and an all-around lovely person. The hygienist (Marie Ann) made me feel extremely comfortable by being gentle while still doing such a thorough cleaning on me! Hands down the most skilled, trained and honest/down to earth dentist in Los Angeles. I have a long dental history and have had some good and bad experiences over the years. I can honestly say I have never met a dentist like Dr. K who actually, truly cares and takes the time to make patients feel comfortable, answer question after question without making you feel rushed. He is also extremely knowledgeable about all things dentistry and beyond, including holistic options relating to your overall long-term health and how it relates to your teeth, gums, bite and breathing. I also have to say that he is out of network for me, but when I shopped my in-network options, not only were they sub-par but their prices were higher - with insurance! They are gentle and quick, the office is high tech, clean and the staff is experienced and friendly. After researching on yelp, it was clear that Sunset Dental was the place to go!!! I'll first start off by saying that Maria, the receptionist, made booking an appointment effortless! She was SUPER sweet and must have called and texted me a handful of times with sooner openings that kept popping up, so I could get in ASAP! I thought that was extremely great costumer service and was excited to finally meet her in person. Parking was a breeze and the building is nice. When I walked in the office, Maria greeted me and was even more lovely in person! The office is impeccable! Very clean and all white with orchids around for a splash of color. Very relaxing. Sandy did my X-rays and cleaning. Everything was relaxing and calm. The room looked out to a beautiful view of the Hollywood Hills and it was just so lovely. Sandy did AN AMAZING job cleaning my teeth, taking care of each tooth with pride! I met with Dr. Victor after and he was really nice too! I'll be going back in a couple of weeks for a deep cleaning and I'm extremely relieved and happy to be in such great hands! I had a teeth cleaning and whitening and they really did a great job. All of the staff was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. Over the span of 7 months I've tried to get an appointment and they kept on cancelling on me and my mother. I work in sells and I move around my entire day in order to get these appointments. They ended up cancelling me again and called me, I was so frustrated and I told them I was upset with their fucking service. The manager then called me and told me they were dropping us as clients Bc I "cursed them out." I didn't, I said I was tired of their fucking service. Anyway, they're rude and unprofessional.
