This company did work for us in the past where we spent nearly $80-90k on renovation work. Secondly we asked them to do another smaller remodel and to fix the small section of drywall that we just discovered was cracking and the owner Matt came back saying yes they'd fix it and they'd provide a price for the next Reno project we had for them. We received the estimate which was a bit steep, so we made a few changes to reduce the amount of work and therefore bring the price down. He said he'd redo the proposal but took a week and half and he didn't even reduce ANY of the pricing, even though the scope of work changed. he said he had to still make that money regardless so if we wouldn't pay for the full proposal, even though the work was less, that he would back out of the project. Completely unethical and shocking after we considered this contractor someone we could trust. We politely said we're not paying for work that's not being done, so he decided not to follow through and left us hanging after we purchased all the materials. Very disappointing. Just because many contractors are busy doesn't mean you need to gauge customers on pricing. Very unfair.
