She was very enthusiastic and knowledgable. We enjoyed walking around the beach area and hearing the ghost stories and history. I really enjoyed hearing the stories and the history of the area. I'm from Bradenton but have never heard many of them. Some ghost tours rely on urban legends or unverified stories. But not this tour! Many of Liz's ghost stories originate from crimes in the area, and I was curious so looked them up online later and was able to verify the crimes actually happened--which makes it even creepier. I don't want to give away any of the stories but Bradenton Beach certainly has it's share of scary stories. We didn't see any "ghosts" but Liz had lots of personal stories she shared. Today was the pioneer day, but was so hot, although really fun. They had a lot of food trucks offering ice cream, BBQ, popcorn, farmers market, pony ride, a lot of animals as Llama, alpaca, duck, rabbit, horses. Each building has a sign with a QR code to scan that links to a short You Tube video elaborating on the people who lived in them and their stories. Even if it's a hot sunny day, there are multiple shady spots to sit like the rocking chair on the veranda or the air-conditioned church. You can actually walk in most of the buildings. My 12-year-old son's favorite areas were the Lanier house with it's rooster and hens walking and clucking around, the goat in the back of the house, and the knot-tying area in the exhibit on Florida's cowmen. At $4 for children $6 for adults (if you get a coupon from the Ocala History Center), this is an educational experience in a beautiful setting. You can also bike, walk, paddle, or picnic in nearby Shingle Creek Park when you are done.

She took us to three super cute locations: Patrick's 1481, Bevardi's Salute, and Brick's, and we finished with a gelato spot! All the staff at each location were really sweet, except for the hostess at the first place. But overall, the experience was still so good. We had drinks at all three spots, but my favorite was definitely the watermelon lemonade at Brick's. It even comes with a watermelon garnish At first they were out, but our sweet server Gerald made it happen for me, and I really appreciated that. After that, Susan went out of her way to show us a speakeasy around the corner from the gelato place. It wasn't even included in the tour, she just did it to be nice because she could tell my boyfriend used to be a really great bartender, which made it feel extra special. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would 100% come again!
